About the role
Leading our PR, Communications and Marketing function, you will shape our external voice, reputation and visibility. You can expect to make a real impact on everything we do as you develop key messaging, secure media opportunities and strengthen relationships with journalists and supporters. About you
An experienced PR or communications professional, you will be skilled in securing high profile national press coverage, directing crisis communications and carefully managing risk and reputation. At the same time, you should be well versed in marketing across the full media mix, including social channels, and capable of managing multiple projects against strict deadlines. Your line management skills and experience will also ensure that you empower and support your team to work to the best of their ability. Job Purpose As a Marketing Executive at Waverley Abbey, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Marketing Department by executing digital marketing campaigns (predominantly email and social) and other key marketing activities as needed. The role encompasses all areas of marketing execution and will develop and grow with the right candidate. However, your primary focus will be on digital marketing: organic social media, email comms and marketing, community engagement, and paid social media. By doing so, you’ll help increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and expand our reach among both existing supporters and new audiences.
Organic Community Social Media Management
> Manage organic social media channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content across platforms.
> Plan, schedule, and publish posts that reflect Waverley Abbey’s mission and values.
> Monitor performance, identify opportunities for growth, and optimise content for engagement and reach.

Requirements - Essential
>Due to the nature and context of this role, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian, in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
