Competencies
- Knowledge, empathy, understanding and proven ability to work creatively and engage homeless people whose alcohol/ drug misuse/ mental health/ complex trauma has had significant effect on their physical and mental health, social and coping skills .
- Ability to assess needs, risks (within a framework of positive risk taking) and develop user led support plans.
- Awareness of and ability to identify and address health and care issues with partners, especially substance misuse, mental health, dementia etc.
- Ability to respond to challenging behaviour in a safe way.
- Ability to develop successful professional relationships, working collaboratively with external and internal partners , sharing expertise and learning from colleagues in health, social care,probation and voluntary sector etc
- Knowledge of and commitment to service user involvement, self empowerment, equalities, diversity andservice improvement

Role Overview
Reporting to the Trusts Manager, the postholder will be responsible for maximizing income from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, building and nurturing elationships and inspiring long-term support and sustainable income in line with the organisational strategy.
About You
This is a great role for someone with previous experience of Trust Fundraising. You’ll have first class communication skills to enable you to quickly build solid, strong relationships both face to face and over the telephone. Excellent writing skills are essential as well as good organisational skills and CRM experience. In these challenging times you’ll need to channel your creative skills to develop exciting stewardship plans.
In this role you will need:
· Previous experience of Trust Fundraising with a strong track record of success and meeting targets

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in person days a year, including two Directorate meetings and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London. In addition there will be a requirement to attend team and donor meetings in person as required.

The role is fast‑paced and admin‑focused, supporting the smooth delivery of online training for mental health professionals. Most of your time will be spent coordinating courses of 20–50 attendees, handling logistics, responding to queries, and supporting stakeholders.
Over time, we’re looking for someone who can confidently manage training activities end‑to‑end, streamline processes, and share learning and best practice across the team as we continually improve how we work.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The main purpose of this role is to provide high-quality support and interventions to clients with mental health needs who require early intervention and prevention. The postholder will support clients throughout their time in the service, empowering them with the skills to cope independently, while working in line with organisational values, the ethos of recovery, and principles of co-production. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of clients, delivering group activities and programmes, and clearly communicating the aims, objectives, pathways, and service model to enable clients to fully participate in and co-produce their support. The role also involves helping service users engage effectively with community professionals, developing peer support networks and community-based approaches, monitoring the health, wellbeing, and safety of service users, and contributing to the core work of the service. Accurate and timely administration, referrals, assessments, and service reviews are required, alongside participation in supervision, appraisals, training, and team development activities. Responsible for the safe delivery and environment of the Osborne Centre (both Partners and staff) delivering a range of quality services for our Partners (service users) and ensuring that the management systems are in place and operational.

Overall purpose:

- Reviewing Partner progress on a quarterly basis showing ‘distance travelled’ by individual Partners;
- Serviced by managed, trained and motivated staff;
- Delivered under the highest standards of health & safety and safeguarding welfare for our Partners.
Role:
To develop, support and deliver the day to day operations of the Osborne Partnership, in partnership with other senior Managers, and Service Managers, with a particular focus on the quality agenda as it relates to Partner services, service development, benchmarking, and external accreditations. The role will ensure that Partner services are engaged in a cycle of continuous review and improvements and providing Service Managers with the tools and support to deliver the highest standards of service through building confidence and expertise, and identifying service and personal development training where appropriate.
Main Duties:
1. To support the development and best practice of all Osborne Partnership service areas to ensure relevant, meaningful, and objective focused delivery for Partners.
2. To work with the relevant Service Managers and Project Supoort Officers (PSOs) to review current service delivery and to provide an objective, supportive, but challenging voice in the development of services.
3. To benchmark Osborne Partnership services and delivery against similar services in the borough and wider afield.
4. Working with other senior managers, identify and action new service areas of delivery commensurate with the Osborne Partnership Memorandum and Articles of Association and subject to Partners consultation and approval.
5. To identify, research, and action plan frontline external accreditations that will provide a objectifiable list of outcomes that will support and benefit Partners; staff development; and the professional standing of the Osborne Partnership.
6. To support senior managers in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures as they may relate to updated legislation; new service provision; Partners welfare, safety and development; staff development and benefits; or any other relevant area of service.
7. To line manage (including appraisals) relevant Service Managers as leaders of services ensuring that they understand the concept of continuous improvement and are supporting Project Support Officers (PSOs) to do likewise.
8. To ensure that Service Managers have identified and developed service schemes of work, annual development training plans for Service Managers and their PSOs in line with continuous improvement principles and to ensure best practice activities for Partners.
9. To work with senior managers to identify and action activities/ services/ initiatives/ documents/ plans that will support the on-going professionalisation and modernisation agenda of the Osborne Partnership
10. To actively support other senior managers in the day to day delivery of the Osborne Centre service provision ensuring health and safety at work principles are adhered to; safeguarding of Partners is paramount; that staff are adequately prepped and prepared for delivery of their services; and that a professional service approach is adhered to at all times.
11. To be the primary development Officer of the Storri database as it relates to Osborne Partnership, information gathering (and mindful of GDPR), and Partmner journeys travelled in the service.
12. To identify personal development opportunities and requirements as dictated by the role.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for two passionate and proactive Upstream Practitioner’s to join our Team based in Bournemouth.
About us
Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity. We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. We provide homeless young people with accommodation, mental health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
The roles
We have two permanent Upstream Practitioner roles available, which are both school based and are part of our policy and prevention directorate. They will report to the Senior Upstream Practitioner and as a team, you will play a key role in our pre-16 prevention pilot, helping to identify and address the root causes of youth homelessness.
We have one full-time role and one term-time role available. Both roles are 37.5 hours per week and will be based in The Bourne Academy. The full-time role is working over 52 weeks and includes annual leave entitlement in line with Centrepoint’s policy. The term-time role is working over 41 weeks per year (39 weeks during term time plus 2 additional weeks). This role does not include annual leave. Instead, the annual leave is paid in addition to the salary.
The successful candidates will need to be available week commencing 23rd March Monday to Friday in Manchester, to undertake Level 4 mediation training with UK Mediation. All expenses will be paid for by Centrepoint.

- Administering the Upstream Survey to students aged 11–16 to help identify hidden risk factors

Alongside delivering our existing 1-1 counselling, self-development workshops and therapeutic support groups for women who have experienced domestic abuse, we are focused on developing our innovative mental health services for young women and girls, delivering new peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. Background
The lack of recognition of domestic abuse as a mental health issue within the NHS leads to delayed and inadequate support for survivors. This gap in understanding and response often result in survivors only being able to access and receive appropriate care when their mental health deteriorates to the point of requiring secondary mental health services (Women’s Aid 2021). Meta analysis suggests that CBT, one of the NHS’s most prescribed approaches for mental ill-health, is not the best approach for domestic abuse survivors as it does not recognise and take into account the external factors and dynamics of abuse, specifically power and control, the role of the perpetrator and the resulting trauma for the survivor.
In March 2025, WT published its first major report, ‘Living Without Hope’ which consolidates existing and increasing academic, government and sector research demonstrating the significant impact of domestic abuse on women’s mental health. Outlining the current agency responses at national, regional and local levels and the gaps in provision; the report also makes recommendations for change and improvement across the VAWG and health sectors.
Building on the research highlighted in our ‘Living Without Hope’ report, WT has secured funding to work with key stakeholders in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to examine the links between domestic abuse and mental health, the specific experiences of Arab and Moroccan women and their access to safe, appropriate services that meet their needs.
Purpose
This is an exciting new role and will be focused on developing Woman’s Trust’s (WT) response to addressing the systemic issues female survivors of domestic abuse face when trying to access support.
Working with key stakeholders in the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (LBKC) and specifically Al-Hasniya to ensure that professionals have a clearer understanding of the link between domestic abuse and mental health and its impact on survivors.
Contract & hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE). Fixed term as dependant on funding.
Location: Woman’s Trust premises including co-location with statutory partners and community partnership locations.

We are recruiting a Support Manager to provide clear leadership, coordination and oversight of our support services during a period of growth. This role is pivotal in ensuring our services are safe, sustainable, well-governed and responsive to patient needs, while supporting staff and volunteers working in emotionally demanding environments. You will work closely with the Director of Research & Programmes and collaborate across the organisation to align support services with wider strategy.
This is an ideal role for someone with experience managing support or community services in the charity or health sector, who values clarity, collaboration and compassionate leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Service Leadership & Oversight

Provide operational oversight of Make 2nds Count’s support services, ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery.

Embed clear processes, boundaries and decision-making routes across support activities.

Monitor service activity, risks and capacity, escalating issues appropriately.
Safeguarding, Risk & Quality

Act as the operational safeguarding lead for support services.

Ensure safeguarding, incident reporting and crisis procedures are embedded, understood and followed.

Support a culture of emotional safety and reflective practice.
Team & Volunteer Support

Line manage and support staff within the support team.

Work with the Director of Research & Programmes to ensure appropriate supervision structures are in place.

Support volunteers and facilitators through clear guidance, training pathways and escalation routes.
Planning & Collaboration

Contribute to service planning, improvement and prioritisation.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity, including fundraising and communications, to ensure joined-up delivery.

Support the evaluation and development of services based on insight and learning.
About You
Essential

Experience managing or coordinating support, community or health-related services.

Strong understanding of safeguarding in sensitive or high-risk environments.

Experience supporting staff or volunteers in emotionally demanding roles.

Ability to bring structure, clarity and consistency to complex service delivery.

Confident communicator, able to navigate sensitive conversations with care.

Comfortable working remotely and managing your own workload.
Desirable

Experience in cancer, health, mental health or lived-experience-led services.
