Purpose of the role
Are you passionate about how digital communications can be leveraged to help even more people understand the role and importance of churches and to encourage and support those who are caring for these historic buildings? We are looking for a part-time Communications Officer to join our small Communications Team at the National Churches Trust. You will help plan, write, build and send our regular newsletters, manage our photo library and permissions, and support us in making sure our website is up-to-date, accurate and accessible.
If you are a good communicator and writer, you understand the importance of UX design and supporter journeys, and you want to use your skills to help keep churches open and in use, then this could be the role for you.
Hours of Work: Part-time, 21 hours per week split over three days, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

As the Grant Programmes Manager, you will report to the Deputy Director of Grants & Programmes and play a key role in designing, delivering, and evaluating targeted funding programmes such as our Heritage for All, Clearer Care and Mental Health scale Up Fund Programmes. You will work closely with colleagues across Grants, Programmes, Development, and Communications teams to steward donor relationships and ensure that their funding reaches the communities where it will have the greatest impact.
You will manage the end‑to‑end delivery of funding programmes. You will engage with voluntary and community organisations, public sector partners, and donors to shape programme design and share learning. You may also be required to line manage a Grants Officer or Administrator providing support on programme delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and highly organised individual with experience managing the full lifecycle of grant or funding programmes. You will have strong project management skills, excellent attention to detail, confidence interpreting complex information and communicating this to a range of audiences.

What the job involves

How and where we work
Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
We trust colleagues to work flexibly while balancing personal commitments with the needs of the charity, and we are committed to making reasonable adjustments for colleagues with a disability, neurodiversity, or a long-term physical or mental health condition.

This position in the Policy & Campaigns team plays a key role in developing and implementing Liberty’s policy and campaigning priorities: undertaking high-quality research, influencing decision-makers in Government and Parliament, building coalitions, producing policy and campaign materials, providing policy input to strategic litigation, and building public and political support for Liberty’s work.
We are seeking someone who holds Liberty’s values and ambitions close to their heart, as we work to ensure everyone in the United Kingdom is treated fairly, with dignity and respect. This is a key role in securing the long-term policy change needed to protect the human rights and civil liberties of everyone who lives in the UK.
Policy & Campaigns Officers monitor and respond to policy threats to our human rights frameworks, to our rights to protest and free speech, and to live free from discrimination. They work with political players and civil servants to steer policy and legislation. They produce high-quality, persuasive content and translate complex legal and policy arguments in a clear and compelling way for mass audiences. They lead and support networks of human rights and civil society organisations, lending expertise and building solidarity. We have worked with civil society to fight back against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 and the Public Order Act 2023, and to see off threats to our Human Rights Act and Equality Act.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong political instincts who brings a collaborative approach to their work. You will have policy and research experience in human rights, or a related field. You will have a strong understanding of how to secure policy change in challenging political environments.
You will have a strong commitment to Liberty’s values and strategy.

Purpose of the job
The Operations Officer provides vital administrative and operational support across UK Youth, helping ensure our people, systems, and workplaces are set up for success. You will play a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly and ensuring teams have the tools, resources, and information they need to work effectively.
Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will take responsibility for core operational processes including systems administration, facilities coordination, cross-departmental events and compliance support.

Key responsibilities
IT & Systems
Manage the day-to-day relationship with our IT support partner, including monitoring support tickets, approving change requests, and escalating issues to the Head of Operations where required.
Support the maintenance and monitoring of IT equipment in collaboration with our IT Support Partner
Maintain our IT asset register; be responsible for ensuring all IT equipment is accounted for and organising its safe distribution.
Maintain and improve UK Youth’s SharePoint and MS Teams sites and channels, ensuring efficient organisation, accessibility of information and compliance with information and data protection policies
Support operational improvement projects, including process automation e.g., use of Microsoft Forms and Power Automate to streamline and automate internal workflows such as onboarding, approvals, and data collection.
Office Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all London office facility needs, liaising with landlords, contractors, suppliers, and cleaners to ensure the workspace remains safe, functional, and well maintained.
Manage staff building access and oversee the use of UK Youth’s storage facility, ensuring secure and efficient use of space.
Manage and maintain the room booking systems, ensuring availability, access, and efficient use of meeting spaces.
Manage departmental shared inboxes, general phone lines and post, ensuring timely and helpful responses.
Coordinate purchasing and maintenance of office supplies and equipment, ensuring value for money and timely delivery.
Health & Safety
Act as the main contact for Health & Safety within our London office, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Coordinate H&S inductions and site orientations for all new starters and maintain risk assessments, compliance logs, and required documentation.
Maintain UK Youth’s risk assessment log and review schedule
Support the collection, tracking, and reporting of organisational H&S compliance data, contributing operational reporting.
Contribute to the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and internal process playbooks.
Team Support
Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the People and Operations Team.
Maintain departmental calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate agendas, papers, and minutes.
Lead logistics for key organisation-wide events such as our quarterly Town Halls.
Experience we're after
Experience supporting operations, administration, compliance, or facilities within a busy organisation.
Experience coordinating service providers, contractors, or suppliers.
Experience supporting digital systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams) and contributing to process improvements.
Experience handling sensitive information and maintaining accurate, high-quality records.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Senior Press Officer to work as part of the national PR team for the Woodland Trust to shape and create stories, quotes and press releases.
The Role:
• This role will focus particularly on policy and political influencing work, and public facing campaigns, creating media exposure for the Trust’s expertise on woods and trees.
• This role will work closely with internal teams such as our campaigns, policy and external affairs teams to strategically plan and secure media coverage to influence decision makers and mobilise the public.
• Develop, plan, implement and evaluate PR campaigns and activities.
• Be the briefing spokesperson for interviews and delivering media training.
• Influence and provide expert opinions and advice to internals stakeholders.

• This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average. Occasional site visits across the UK will also be required.
The Candidate:
• Experience working in media relations and PR supporting PR related campaigns and policy change by influencing government or decision makers.
• Knowledge of how to report in media coverage with confidence using PR software and platforms.
• Experience developing successful stories with the ability to be an expert spokesperson to the media.
• Strong relationship building skills with the ability to liaise with different stakeholders such as colleagues, journalists and broadcaster.
• Knowledge of how to manage your workload and prioritise effectively.
• Experience writing articles, press releases, blogs with the ability to adapt your writing style to different audiences.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office with the ability to use Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
