Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer

North London Hospice has been caring for local people since 1984, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people with life-limiting illnesses across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, and increasingly within Camden and Islington.  Our services are completely free of charge however it now costs more than £16m a year to run our charity. We rely on the generosity of our community through donations and our shops to make up the shortfall in funding.

We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Corporate Partnerships Senior Officer to join our Fundraising Team and support the growth of an exciting and developing area of income generation.

Working alongside our Corporate Partnerships Manager, you'll help build and strengthen relationships with businesses across North London and beyond, helping to secure sustainable income that makes a real difference to the patients and families we support.

The Role

This is a newly created role within a growing team and offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys relationship management, business development and creating engaging supporter experiences.

You'll play a key role in growing our portfolio of corporate supporters, identifying new opportunities, supporting partnership pitches, and ensuring our existing partners feel valued, engaged and inspired to continue supporting the hospice.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, ensuring an outstanding supporter experience and long-term engagement.

· Support the Corporate Partnerships Manager to identify and secure new business opportunities.

· Research prospective corporate partners and sectors.

· Help prepare compelling partnership proposals, pitches and cases for support.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective supporters.

· Work with colleagues across the Hospice to develop attractive products and opportunities for corporate supporters.

· Match potential supporters with projects and initiatives that align with their interests and objectives.

· Monitor developments and innovations across the fundraising sector and identify opportunities for implementation.

· Support the development and monitoring of budgets, income targets and KPIs.

· Ensure all activities comply with fundraising regulations, GDPR and Hospice policies.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues across fundraising, communications, retail, clinical services and other departments.

Head of Communications & Public Affairs

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and relationship-focused Regional Community Fundraiser to join our fundraising team and grow sustainable support across Sussex. Working from home and spending significant time within your region, you will act as the face of the charity locally, engaging individuals, community groups, schools, local businesses and volunteers.

In April 2021 we launched the GM Navigators project to support young people impacted by youth violence.  In response to feedback from parents and carers, the PACS project was set up in 2023 to assist Parents and Carers identifying their child as ‘at risk’. Since this the service has gone from strength to strength with Parents and Carers engaging from all 10 GM boroughs.  We have securing funding to continue this project until 2027 with potential for further extensions.

Oasis is recruiting a PAC Support Worker to be part of the PAC Project.   

As a PAC Support Worker you will;

· Support parent and carers that identify their child is “at risk” offering them advice and guidance, practical support and linking them in with services/groups that will provide them with a sustainable support network.

· Help parents and carers to develop projects to raise awareness of the issues they are facing, offering peer support and influence policy and system change. 

· Be trained in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) and other parenting approaches to support parents and carers to respond to their children’s needs, de-escalate situations and maintain good relationships within their home.

· Delivering our ‘Encounter’ Parenting Training (based on the principles of NVR) online and in-person to groups of parents and host online and in-person support groups for parents and carers.

· Be integral to the shaping and development of the PAC project utilizing the feedback of those you are working with to ensure the project is impactful and meeting parent’s and carers needs as a priority.

• Empower Parents and Carers that want to set up groups or run campaigns to raise awareness of issues they are facing.  Managing resources to support them to turn their ambitions into reality.

About the role:

Real change rarely happens in a straight line. At our Ashley Road project, you’ll work alongside people who have experienced homelessness, trauma and multiple disadvantage, offering the consistency, practical support and belief that can help them begin moving forward.

As a Project Worker, you’ll hold a caseload and build purposeful, trusting relationships with clients. You’ll complete assessments, develop person-centred support and safety plans, and help people identify goals that feel meaningful and achievable to them. This could include supporting someone to improve their health, address substance use, manage their accommodation, strengthen their daily living skills or reconnect with services and opportunities in their community.

You’ll be there when situations become challenging, responding calmly to risk, safeguarding concerns and periods of crisis while continuing to recognise each person’s strengths and potential. Working closely with colleagues and external partners, you’ll advocate for clients, coordinate joined-up support and help remove the barriers that have previously prevented them from accessing the help they need.

This is a hands-on and varied role where no two days will look the same. Alongside direct support, you’ll contribute to the safe and effective running of the accommodation, maintain clear and accurate records and help create an environment where clients are treated with dignity, respect and hope. You’ll also receive ongoing training, reflective practice and development opportunities to strengthen your skills and build your future career within SHP.

The working rota for this post is Monday - Friday, with no weekend shifts. The rota will consist of a mixture of earlies (8am - 3.30pm) & lates (3pm - 10.30pm).

POST OUTLINE

This is an impactful role working in a supportive and collaborative environment. The Volunteer Manager is responsible for implementing a sustainable volunteer strategy, onboarding journey and programme across the charity. This varied role oversees the promotion of volunteering, internal and external relationship building, all stages of volunteer recruitment, HR checks and onboarding and the coordination of an effective volunteer mandatory training programme. This role is responsible for organising recognition programmes, guiding departments on how to manage and retain volunteers, maximising the use of volunteer resources and ensuring volunteers have a rewarding experience whilst also positively contributing to the organisation objectives to provide vital services to the families of disabled and neurodivergent children. This role is also responsible for the line management of the Volunteer Administrator. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and inspire a positive culture of volunteering within the organisation.
• Implement the Charities Volunteer Strategy and continually develop the volunteer onboarding journey and programme. 
• Liaise with departments to establish volunteer support requirements and create volunteer role descriptions.
• Continually review the recruitment plan and pipeline, analysing existing data to understand patterns, ensuring volunteer diversity.
• Promote and market Caudwell Children volunteer roles nationally with the support of the team, reaching wider audiences, using a range of recruitment methods such as online recruitment platforms, social media, local community groups, etc.
• Attend volunteer recruitment events across Staffordshire, such as university career fayres, including delivering presentations to promote volunteering and placements.
• Attend volunteer networking events
• Coordinate and lead informal volunteer interviews to identify suitable volunteer candidates.
• Responsible for overseeing references checks, ID and DBS checks in line with DBS regulation and to comply with safer recruitment policies
• Process onboarding paperwork, updating our volunteer database and auditing  volunteer records to ensure they are up to date with DBS checks, mandatory training, medical records and emergency contact details.
• Oversee DBS renewals, DBS Destruction notices, annual medical updates and mandatory training reminders.
• Lead volunteer support plan discussions with new volunteers to discuss reasonable adjustments and support we will put into place where they have disclosed a medical condition or disability.
• Coordinate and oversee the induction and mandatory training for newly appointed volunteers, delivering the mandatory charity training session in collaboration with the Learning and Development Manager.
• Working with departments to advise them on how to deliver an effective training and mentoring programme in order to establish a cohesive infrastructure of motivated volunteers, in collaboration with the Learning and Development Manager.
• Deliver volunteer management training and advice to departments on how to  support, mentor and motivate volunteers, ensuring regular supervisions are carried out by departments.
• Lead monthly catch ups with department heads to discuss the activity of volunteers and department needs.
• Monitor and evaluate all aspects of volunteer activity to ensure effectiveness. Conduct continuous evaluation of the volunteer programme, organising surveys and volunteer forums to gather feedback
• Responsible for checking volunteer expense forms.
• Design and organise formal or informal activities to recognise the contributions of volunteers to the organisation, including parties, social media recognition posts, volunteer case studies, volunteer awards, etc.
• Review and update if appropriate volunteer policies, procedures, risk logs and standards of volunteer service across the organisation ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Ensure the Volunteer Department is compliant with ISO requirements by annually reviewing standard volunteer documents due to renewal.
• Produce regular reports using volunteer data on volunteer recruitment, onboarding, activity and participation.
• Create month end board level reports, interact at Board level, to highlight progress against the Volunteer Strategy.
• Line Manage, supervise and mentor the employee: Volunteer Administrator.
• Help to facilitate and develop the corporate volunteering opportunities in collaboration with the Business partnerships team who lead on the Charities Corporate Social Responsibility offer.
• Maintain and develop the current placement offer for student volunteers recognising the contribution to a sustainable volunteer strategy, and coordinating placement project plans and timetables.
• Deal with any complaints or issues involving volunteers in the appropriate manner and take action where necessary.

About Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital Charity

Here at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital Charity we fund, facilitate and champion world-class specialists to transform the lives of heart and lung patients. We provide clinicians, academics and researchers across London and beyond with the funding and resources they need to understand more, prevent more and treat more.

Our funding comes from the fundraising efforts of thousands of supporters as well as income generated by our investments in property and equity markets. We currently grant around £6 million each year – but we want to do more.

What you'll be doing

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Programmes & Funding Officer to play a central role in providing administrative and operational support for the Charity's Special Purpose Funds (SPFs). This position is vital to ensure that all activity is recorded accurately, that systems run smoothly and stakeholders receive an exceptional level of support.

You will contribute to the development and delivery of a bespoke fundholder service, enabling fundholders to maximise the impact of their SPFs in advancing care for heart and lung patients.

What we offer

Hours: 35 per week (full time)
Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week in the office – 1 The Courtyard, 151 Sydney Street, London SW2 6NT, with occasional working at our hubs in the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals)

The Role

Position: Finance Manager

Financial sustainability is essential to ensuring Canine Partners can continue to deliver life-changing support to our beneficiaries. You will play a key role in supporting this by overseeing all financial activities, reporting and providing analysis for the organisation whilst maintaining robust financial controls, driving continuous improvement and leading on the ongoing development of our financial systems. Working alongside the Finance Director, you will also support the development of the Finance team and help maximise the benefits of our newly implemented finance system.
What You'll Be Doing

• Working with budget holders and project leads as a business partner by providing the required tools, insights and analysis, you will provide them with easy-to-understand financial information, support planning and inform decision making.
• Manage the budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Maintain the financial data and records to reflect the needs of the charity.
• Analyse financial information and provide modelling and data analytics as requested to support decision making and planning.
• Be responsible for development and implementation of all finance systems, and their integration with the CRM database and other operational systems.

About You

• Qualified accountant (CIPFA/CIMA/FCA/ACA/ACCCA) with relevant senior financial experience in organisations with multiple income streams and/ or £3m+ in revenue.
• Methodical with an eye for detail.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Strong ICT skills, including database (Office 365, specifically excel).

This role works with colleagues across the organisation, including our senior management team - but also in partnership with external organisations and agencies - with targets set for engagement (and other indicators of the success of our campaigns). We're working on multiple campaigns simultaneously; whether that's Carers Week, campaigns to influence changes to the law to better support carers, encouraging unpaid carers to join us as members, updating on activities in the devolved nations or getting people to fundraise for Carers UK. And we use a mix of owned, earned and paid communications to drive engagement in a challenging and crowded environment in order to get our messages to cut through. About you

Working within the communications and marketing team, you'll be confident in managing our social media accounts (we have many), ensuring we're using platforms to get our messages out to both wide and targeted audiences with engaging and timely content.

You'll be happy using tools for social listening, interacting with our audiences and building our reach. You'll be familiar with key metrics for social engagement and will be reporting back to colleagues and other stakeholders - and using this data to constantly improve our communications.

You'll be skilled in writing longer form content for our members' magazine, Caring, proof reading articles, posting content on our websites, creating graphics and making sure our content is engaging, audience focused and dynamic. Oh, and you probably know your way around an emoji set and are not scared of a well timed pun. Plus you'll have a great eye for detail and be confident in your ability to prioritise (and sometimes reprioritise) your workload as needed.

We're a small but effective communications team and pride ourselves on getting stuck in and supporting each other when we need to deliver big on fast moving projects, so you'll need be able to juggle lots of demands while recognising the importance of always hitting deadlines.

As a Support Worker at Ace of Clubs drop-in day centre supporting people who are homeless and facing adversity, you will play a key role in supporting individuals who may be navigating chaotic lifestyles, trauma, and multiple disadvantages. You will provide practical and emotional support, help people access essential services, and work to empower them to move towards independence.

Your role will involve working directly with service users, managing case records, liaising with partner agencies, and contributing to the smooth running of our busy centre. Ultimately, you will support people to overcome barriers, develop essential skills, and build confidence in navigating life challenges and providing advocacy where needed.  In particular, you will be on duty as Support Worker during our busy, daily lunchtime service - responding to the needs of a variety of guests – on a busy day we can reach 150 – 200 guests visiting our service.

In addition, Ace of Clubs works with a wide range of volunteers and partners on a daily basis including food partners, health partners, corporate, individual and client volunteers.  Your role will also be required to support the team in the smooth functioning of these areas, for example liaising with partners on site, showing around volunteers or feeding back any issues during lunch service.

You will also support with the operations and building’s co-ordination, including carrying out weekly health and safety checks as required, i.e. fire alarm checks, legionella checks etc., meeting onsite contractors, counting and logging cash takings, responding and filtering the central email account and making food and supplies orders. You will be provided with comprehensive training in these areas.

Corporate Partnerships Manager

North London Hospice has been caring for local people since 1984, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people with life-limiting illnesses across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, and increasingly within Camden and Islington. Our services are completely free of charge however it now costs more than £16m a year to run our charity. We rely on the generosity of our community through donations and our shops to make up the shortfall in funding.

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Corporate Partnerships Manager to join our Fundraising Team and lead the growth of what we believe is one of the hospice's most exciting and untapped income streams.
