Right now, we are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our Volunteer Service in our London head office.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As a Volunteering Coordinator, you will support the recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience. You will coordinate mentoring programmes that empower survivors of domestic abuse to build confidence, develop skills, and progress towards education, training, employment, and greater independence. Working closely with corporate partners and operational teams, you will facilitate workshops, promote digital and financial inclusion, and identify meaningful volunteering opportunities. You will provide guidance to staff and volunteers, build strong external partnerships, promote volunteering within the community, maintain accurate programme records, and ensure activities are delivered in line with organisational standards and best practice.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. In this role, you will need excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and motivate volunteers and service users in a professional and empowering way. You will have strong digital and IT skills, including experience using spreadsheets, databases, and relevant software, alongside good literacy, numeracy, and administrative abilities. An understanding of the needs and experiences of survivors of domestic abuse is essential, together with respect for diversity and different cultural backgrounds. You should be confident developing employment or training plans, solving problems effectively, and working collaboratively with others. Knowledge of community and corporate volunteering, and experience supervising volunteers, would be advantageous.
