About FareShare Midlands
FareShare Midlands rescues good-quality surplus food and gets it to people experiencing hardship through hundreds of community organisations across the region. Last year, we redistributed more than 5,000 tonnes of food – the equivalent of 11 million meals – reaching around 60,000 people every week.
But our impact goes beyond food. We strengthen communities, create opportunities through our SkillsShare employability programmes, and help protect our planet by reducing food waste. Over the next three years, we aim to double the food we rescue and extend our impact across the Midlands.
Good food can do extraordinary things.
The Role
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and hands-on Digital Marketing Officer to join our Marketing & Communications team during an exciting period of growth and development for FareShare Midlands.
Working closely with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager and colleagues across our MarComms, Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships teams, you will help us reach new audiences, tell compelling stories about our impact and inspire people and organisations to support our work.
This is a varied role with plenty of opportunity to develop your digital marketing skills. You will work across our website, social media, Google Ads, email marketing and digital campaigns, as well as helping us capture and share powerful video-led stories from across FareShare Midlands.
A particular focus will be supporting activity that helps generate the partnerships and resources needed to sustain and grow our impact. This includes individual fundraising, corporate partnerships, events and other campaigns designed to engage supporters and inspire action.
We don't expect you to be an expert in everything from day one. We're looking for someone with good digital marketing foundations, strong content and communication skills and the enthusiasm to develop further. You might already be particularly strong in social media, video, websites or digital campaigns and be looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience across the digital marketing mix.
You'll receive support from an experienced MarComms team, while having the opportunity to take ownership of your own activity and develop specialist skills in areas such as WordPress, Google Ads, digital fundraising and performance marketing.
This could be a great next step for someone who has gained practical digital marketing experience and is ready for a role where their work can make a visible difference.
