About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Edinburgh Skylight as a Receptionist/Administrator in our Crisis Skylight Edinburgh Team. You will be there to welcome people who are homeless seeking advice and start the process of helping them to end their homelessness.

You will support the team to manage a busy working environment, welcoming and supporting a range of people including new Skylight members, current members, staff, Crisis volunteers and visitors. You will provide administrative support for this fast and responsive service to those newly presenting as homeless. You will also carry out administration and housekeeping functions relating to the customer service and facilities management of Cranston House. This role is based onsite with no option for homeworking.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be highly organised with experience of working within a reception or administrative support role, as well as experience providing a high standard of customer service. We are looking for someone who understands the issues faced by homeless people and is excited to learn about the ways we can support them. You will be able to deal with challenging situations and individuals with a range of needs, to reach a positive resolution through a calm and confident approach.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups and individuals. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written will be key, as well as working collaboratively within a team. As you will be the first point of contact for many people, you need to be friendly, enjoy helping and be willing to learn about Crisis and all the other activities taking place within the building.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Head of Operations will play a central leadership role within RLSS UK, ensuring the charity operates effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will lead and support the RLSS UK HR, Business Systems and IT, and Compliance departments and provide high quality decision support to senior managers on areas within this portfolio. This is a strategic and hands-on operational role overseeing key areas of the corporate services directorate.

Our current Regulatory bodies are:

• The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, Ofqual in England.
• The Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment, CCEA in Northern Ireland.
• Qualifications Wales, QW in Wales.
   

Maintaining and exceeding the standards, policies and procedures of these bodies are essential for ensuring our Awarding Organisation and Awarding Body status with the respective Regulators, enabling us to offer regulated qualifications. Job Summary

The role of the Outreach & Development Worker is to ensure carers of all ages and backgrounds are aware of their rights and know how to receive support from Gaddum and other services they need at the right time for them.

The job holder will provide outreach & support sessions, deliver groups and events for carers and other relevant partners across Salford. Creating exciting new opportunities for carers through networking and building partnerships.

Job Purpose

The role will focus on the outreach provision, being based in different locations across Salford including hospitals, community venues, mental health settings and others accessed by people with caring responsibilities. The role will include supporting the continued development of the service, assisting with the creation of resources and training. The role will also support our involvement offer; ensuring carers are at the forefront of service change and service delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Day to day duties:

· Facilitate carers drop-ins in venues across Salford, including but not limited to hospital sites (both on wards and public areas), community venues (such as Gateways) and high footfall locations.

· Provide one-off, solution-focussed appointments to address the immediate needs of carers identified in the community or at the point of referral.

· Create networking opportunities throughout all wards of Salford to publicise the service and build/ maintain relevant partnerships.

· Complete Statutory Carers Assessments.

· To be able to travel to various locations in Salford, at times multiple locations per day – often carrying service promotional materials. Salford is a large city covering 37 sq. miles.

Weekly/ monthly duties:

· To work alongside student social workers on placement, providing mentoring, guidance, and shadowing opportunities as appropriate.

· Create and run exciting events and support groups for carers, organisations and stakeholders to attend.

· Create and deliver service presentations aimed at carers, to communicate the support and opportunities available from the service.

· Create and deliver service presentations aimed at community groups, educational bodies and organisations to raise awareness of how to identify and support carers, and to increase the visibility of the service.

· Develop ways to identify carers across Salford and let them know about support available to them and their needs.

· Invite Carers to be involved with the service and help us to coproduce/ codesign our service offer.

· Get to know Salford’s diverse communities and organisations, providing culturally appropriate information and support.

· Promote Carers Rights to carers, Salford’s communities and relevant organisations.

· Maintain a clear record of work completed by note taking and recording on our recording system.

· To meet regularly with line manager for supervision.

About the role

This role will help to drive forward the public health, inclusion, and awareness team’s work across the UK, which is to empower patients and the public to play a full role in managing their own risk of getting breast cancer, diagnosing breast cancer earlier and improving their quality of life after a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, thereby reducing the risk of recurrence.

You will work closely with the Public health, inclusion and awareness manager to support the growth and expansion of a public health talks programme, leading on public health talks coordination. The programme is delivered through trained volunteers who are spread across the UK.

Your role will consist of coordination between individuals and organisations enquiring about booking public health talks as well as supporting with drop-in sessions for volunteers. You will also support the manager to update resources, action feedback from stakeholders and work with other teams within the charity such as volunteering. You will support with day-to-day tasks to ensure the smooth running of the wider public health, inclusion and awareness team.

This role involves frequent communication with a range of people through email, telephone and over MS Teams. You will use our database (Unity) to log all communications and to keep track of talks progress. Our database also tracks volunteer training and availability. Alongside our database, our volunteer portal allows you to interact with all the public health volunteers at once for events, online talks and resources.

About you

You will be highly organised, able to manage priorities and have excellent verbal and written skills. You will have solid customer service or stakeholder engagement experience. An excellent communicator who can handle issues sensitively. Additionally, you will have strong IT skills and have some experience with databases and GDPR or compliance.

You will be able to work independently, seeing daily tasks and projects through to completion. You can work collaboratively and promote equality, diversity and inclusion across your work.

Ideally you will have worked with volunteers before and have worked in the charity sector. You would have some knowledge of breast cancer or a willingness to learn.

Join us at Single Homeless Project (SHP) as part of our Lewisham Vulnerable Adults Accommodation Service (LVAAS), delivering accommodation-based support across our properties in Brockley and New Cross. The role
This role will work collaboratively within Manchester City Council's multi-disciplinary Thriving Families Team to support adult victims/survivors of domestic abuse within families where there are safeguarding concerns. The Domestic Abuse Support Worker will provide trauma-informed, strengths based and needs led support to help victims/survivors increase safety, reduce risk and improve their emotional wellbeing. Through one-to-one tailored interventions, the role will empower victims/survivors to make informed choices, rebuild confidence and access specialist support services.

About you

You'll be confident in delivering direct work with adult victims/survivors of domestic abuse. This will include completing comprehensive risk and needs assessments to develop tailored safety and support plans, alongside providing practical and emotional support that promotes recovery, resilience and increased safety.

You'll have experience of working in a trauma-informed way with individuals experiencing domestic abuse and be confident in providing advocacy, psychoeducation and support around the impact of domestic abuse on adults, children and parenting. You'll have experience of safeguarding processes and multi-agency working.

Above all, you'll have the ability to build trusting relationships with victims/survivors, empowering them to make informed choices while working collaboratively with professionals to achieve positive outcomes for families. You'll bring a compassionate,

The role provides programmatic leadership to Impact department and sits on the leadership team of the Programme , Policy and Practice Division (PPPD). Across MCC programme portfolios this role will provide support to ensure a coherent application of our partnership principles and alignment with organizational values and goals.

The role provides leadership in managing the MEAL Advisor , a Programme Impact and Portfolio Management Advisor, and a Partnership & Civil Society and Faith specialist to help deliver high-impact programmes with an emphasis on decolonial approaches and methodologies. The role will provide specific support to the development of Christian Aid’s faith based partnerships. The role spearheads localisation and CSO approach as an underpinning ethos of the new organizational mode.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Programme & Partnerships Lead include:

• Inspire and motivate the team and colleagues in the Programme Policy and Practice division to support MCC’s, to drive meaningful impact across our programmes.
• Work across Departments to support the design of signature programmes, including building connections across the MCCs, developing an appropriate MEAL framework and ensuring effective reporting and links to Organisational Effectiveness.
• Guide the Global MEAL Advisor and collaborate with Organisational Effectiveness Department to commission internal and external impact evaluations and research for signature programmes and the wider organization impact framework ; this will include a focus on decolonial approaches to evaluation.
• With an emphasis on signature programmes work with IPE and MCCs to identify opportunities for the further development of signature programmes.
• Ensure financial processes and guardrails are in place to support the strategic allocation of programme resources to MCCs.
• Develop and maintains strong cross sector and internal relationships that fosters cross-functional consensus.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in business, economics, international development, or a related discipline.
• Significant senior management/ leadership experience.
• Experience in problem solving to unblock obstacles for programme delivery success.
• Experience of developing innovative multi-country programmes.
• Experience of developing budget recommendations linked to multi-country programmes.
• Experience of team design and recruitment of programme delivery roles
• Substantial experience of partnership management.
• Substantial experience of project design, monitoring and evaluation tools.
• Openness to understanding and working with decolonised approaches to project design, monitoring and evaluation tools.
• Understanding of financial controls and procedures including due-diligence processes - highly numerate.
• Highly developed communication skill written and verbal.

Desirable:

• Developed understanding of operating with a total economy approach.
