Job Purpose

· To lead and shape School Food Matters’ policy and advocacy strategy, ensuring our voice influences national and local decision-making on school food and food education

· To design and deliver campaigns that support and advance SFM’s mission

· To line manage the Press and Communications Officer and Policy and Communications Assistant

Key Tasks

· Lead and provide strategic input to campaigns, convene groups and partnerships

· Represent SFM at external meetings and coalitions such as the School Food Review

· Monitor, analyse and interpret relevant research, policy developments and news, identifying implications or opportunities for SFM

· Oversee the strategic direction of SFM’s external affairs and communications, ensuring all policy, campaigns, and public messaging align with the charity’s mission and priorities

· Provide policy research and analysis to support the activities of the School Food Review

· Oversee meetings and governance for the School Food Alliance

· Provide policy and communications expertise for the Food Education Network workstreams

We are looking for an Advocacy Assistant who is keen to contribute to the work of CAFOD’s advocacy work, especially our work in Parliament. You will work closely with the policy and campaigns teams in contributing to bringing about long-term change for the poorest and most marginalised. The post will be responsible for monitoring key issues in Parliament and supporting work with the CAFOD All-Party Parliamentary Group. The Digital Mobilisation Manager will lead Safe Passage’s digital programme, sitting within both our Fundraising and Campaigns teams. They will lead on the development of our digital strategy with oversight from the leadership team, implementing it through expert, hands-on content creation.

The Community of St Paulinus (CsP) is a pioneering, non-residential community focused on resourcing sacramental church planting, forming disciples, and strengthening partnerships across the diocese.

This newly created role of Marketing & Content Lead reflects a strategic investment in building the public voice, identity and reach of CsP. We are seeking a creative and strategically minded marketing professional who will establish and grow CsP’s digital platforms from the ground up, developing a distinctive brand voice and presence that is rooted in Sheffield Cathedral while clearly expressing the unique identity of the Community of St Paulinus.

The postholder will shape CsP’s emerging communications strategy, build audiences, develop campaigns, and contribute to wider marketing thinking within the Project Resource Team.

The Marketing & Content Lead will sit within the Project Resource Team (PRT), alongside the Project Manager, Administration Assistant, and Fundraising Officer. The postholder will be line managed by the Project Manager and will be a key part of the agile Project Resource Team, which serves the CsP.  The postholder will also collaborate with the Cathedral Marketing and Communications Team, where appropriate, to ensure alignment and shared opportunity, with the wider Cathedral communications strategy and work. 

[This is a post which is funded by a grant from the National Church currently up to the end of 2028.  There will be further opportunity for us to review and extend the role if further funding is available with the current expectation that this could be until 2031.  Regular reviews on this will take place.  We have a strong record for applications and grants, but we are not in a position to give guarantees.]

£27,278 per annum (4 days per week or 30 hours per week) - Flexible working arrangements available by negotiation

An exciting career opportunity for an enthusiastic and initiative-taking health promoter to work as part of THT South’s dynamic Brighton based health promotion team. You will be delivering health promotion interventions, supporting, and advising individuals from at-risk communities with the aim of reducing HIV risk and maximising sexual health. 

The focus of your work will be the delivery of  HIV and STI testing via our central Brighton clinic to group most impacted by poor sexual health. You will receive full training to deliver testing, but any previous clinical experience is welcome.

You will have a good understanding of the issues relating to HIV and poor sexual health and knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of higher risk adults in relation to HIV and sexual health promotion.

You will also lead on our local social media activity, promoting the service and our campaigns consulting with our digital team and working within the charity’s guidelines.

This is a key role in the organisation, responsible for coordinating our digital campaigning and online communications work and driving engagement in our campaigns through online channels.

You will be working with colleagues from across the team to engage existing supporters and new audiences in our campaigns, helping to land our key messages, mobilise people to take meaningful actions and build pressure on our campaign targets for both our global south and household debt campaigns.

As we are a small team this role works across all our online communications channels, overseeing social media channels, as well as our website, and taking primary responsibility for building campaigns actions and emails on our campaigns and email platforms. Substantial copywriting skills are a bonus, but not a key part of this role, as there are other staff members who can develop messaging and write campaigns copy.
