Uniting Staffordshire Against Hate provides information, advice, guidance and practical and emotional support to victims of hate crime and hate incidents to help them cope and recover from their experience and exercise their rights under the Victims Code. We also work to raise awareness and encourage reporting of hate crime across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. 

The role of a Training and Community Engagement Officer is an exciting and diverse one. You will be responsible for engaging with communities, including those most at risk of or directly impacted by hate crime, to improve awareness and understanding of hate crime, how to report it and how to access our specialist support service. You will do this in a variety of ways including by delivering awareness raising sessions and activities and attending events. You will also provide initial information, advice and guidance to victims of hate in the community and facilitate referrals into our specialist support service. You will be responsible for the development of meaningful and trusted relationships between communities and the service, so that the people who need our support know how to and are confident to access it. You will also be responsible for delivering our awareness raising training to professionals and communities. 

Flexibility is a key characteristic of all our posts, and the post-holder may be asked to carry out other tasks consistent with the grade from time to time. 

This role is based at our offices in Hanley but most of your time will be spent working in communities across Staffordshire and regular travel is a key element of this role.

To provide an exceptional standard of organisational, administrative and project support to Directors within the Commercial & Growth and Operations Directorates, enabling them to operate effectively and efficiently. The role will implement and maintain robust, seamless administration systems and processes across the Directorates, ensuring consistency, accuracy and high professional standards.

Provide high-quality support to Directors, ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day running.
Proactively manage multiple complex diaries, correspondence and priorities, exercising sound judgement on when to support, challenge or hold the line as appropriate.
Coordinate and provide full administrative support for Directorates and corporate meetings, including the Performance Review meetings, providing end-to-end support, including scheduling, agenda management, paper collation, accurate note-taking, and follow-up of agreed actions and outcomes, reviewing and preparation of papers.
Lead on the organisation of business meetings, events, site visits, including venues, virtual meetings, agendas, papers, travel arrangements, room bookings, minute-taking and action tracking.
Support the timely production of high-quality documentation, including reports, presentations and briefing papers, maintaining excellent attention to detail, accuracy, branding and presentation standards.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues across the organisation, acting as a key point of contact and trusted liaison for the Directors.
Work closely with other Executive Assistants and Personal Assistants to share best practice, provide mutual cover and ensure seamless support at Directorate and organisational level.
Assist with budget management activities where required, processing invoices and expenses in line with organisational procedures.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion at all times.
Undertake additional duties or projects in the Directors.

Experience in a similar role.
A qualification to degree level (or equivalent) in Business Administration would be beneficial but not essential.
A high level of IT skills, and experience in using the full suite of Microsoft Office software (including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams).
Excellent attention to detail, and ability to present documents professionally and with style (this means having a keen eye for branding, grammar and layout).

The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. 

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. About the role

The focus of the role will be on writing grant applications and competitive tenders to generate new income streams for the charity. These new income streams will allow us to move away from our reliance on core funding enabling us to follow our strategic plans and diversify where necessary to support more survivors.

This role will work closely with the Service Managers to identify funding opportunities which match our capacity for delivery.

The Bid Writer will develop and maintain networks and beneficial working relationships to raise the profile of Staying Put.

The role will involve analysing and researching information from various sources and then presenting these in a cohesive and persuasive way for the required audience. Writing reports and analysis for SLT will be required as part of this role.

Part-time, 18.75 hours per week, over 3 days. £32,900 FTE per annum.

About you

Educated to degree level, our ideal candidate will have excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce effective grant applications tailoring the content depending on the audience. We are looking for someone with significant experience in a similar bid writing role who can demonstrate success in meeting challenging financial targets. Knowledge of domestic abuse and sexual violence, the impact it has on victims and issues they face, would be an advantage.

London National Park City is looking for a friendly and energetic community organiser to join our small staff team as a Ranger Coordinator. This is a two year contract role for at least four days per week, to support the delivery of our Ranger programme and activities across London.

You will work closely with the Community Director to support the development and confidence of individual Rangers, help deliver our ranger training programme, and support the recruitment and induction of new volunteers into our community, and embody the culture and community that makes our rangers feel supported, connected, and valued.

You will work with the team to support administration of the Ranger Programme and help in the delivery of our small grants programme.

Key Responsibilities

Community Organising & Ranger Community

• Act as a key point of contact and support for Rangers across London, helping them feel connected to the wider community and to London National Park City while getting to know them and their needs individually. 

• Lead on the assembly of our River Rangers cohort, bringing together new and existing Rangers whose projects are connected to our rivers and waterways, and creating engaging learning experiences for them. 

• Facilitate local meetups amongst Rangers, making connections and introductions around shared interests and projects. 

• Facilitate regular Ranger group gatherings, online connections, and peer-learning opportunities that strengthen relationships across the network.

• Support Rangers to lead local activities, events, and projects, providing guidance and connecting them to relevant resources.

• Identify and support emerging Ranger leaders who can take on more active roles within the network, and help lead Ranger working groups to extend programming and access to resources. 

Ranger Training and Peer Learning

• Work as part of a team to support the ongoing design, development, and continuous improvement of Ranger training and peer learning, to ensure that it is engaging and accessible. Facilitate training and identify the necessary resources to support Rangers in learning green skills alongside exploring climate justice and community organising. Co-ordinate the logistics of training sessions, including scheduling, venue booking, communications with participants, and preparation of materials.

• Support the gathering and analysis of feedback from programmes to inform ongoing programme development. 

Ranger Recruitment

• Directly support the identification and recruitment of new Rangers, including developing outreach strategies to attract volunteers from all of London's diverse communities. 

• Working with the communications team, contribute to recruitment materials on our website and digital channels.

• Help manage the application and onboarding process for new Ranger recruits, providing a welcoming and smooth experience from enquiry through to induction.

• Actively build relationships with underrepresented communities, community organisations, and local networks who may be interested in joining the Ranger community. 

Programme and Administration

• Maintain up to date records and administration on Rangers and their activities, including maintaining databases, tracking participation, and preparing reports.

• Contribute to the delivery of the Small Grants programme, including supporting Rangers to apply for grants, and design their projects. 

• Assist with monitoring and evaluation, helping to capture stories, data, and outcomes that demonstrate the impact of the Ranger and Small Grants programmes.

• Handle general correspondence and enquiries relating to both programmes professionally and promptly.

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience in community organising or volunteer coordination in a professional or voluntary capacity. 

• Experience of building programmes and facilitating training 

• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build warm, trusting relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

• Ability to work outside of office hours to meet the demands of the role, (this may include 1 or 2 weekend days a month, and up to one evening a week).

• Demonstrable experience of planning and organising your own work schedule and using initiative to deliver results.

• In regards to the River Rangers cohort knowledge of rivers and waterways in London.

Salary and benefits

You will be joining and fully participating in a unique and inspirational community of changemakers and storytellers, active across London and increasingly around the world.

This is a contract role ideally full-time or for at least four days per week, initially until June 2028. Salary is dependent on experience and in the range of £32,000 to £36,000 full time. We are open to applications for flexible working arrangements which many of our staff take up.

You will have 25 holiday days allowance per year, pro rated for part-time working.

Following successful completion of a 3-month probationary period, we will enrol you in our Nest pension scheme, and will make additional payments of 4% as long as you contribute 4% of your salary each month.

This role involves a mix of remote and in person working with regular travel across London. You must be based in London and be prepared for regular travel.

Youth Development Coordinator

Purpose of the role 

The Youth Development Coordinator will lead and expand our youth development programmes, supporting hundreds of children and young people across Gateshead, Newcastle, and Northumberland to build wellbeing and a strong sense of belonging through nature-based programmes.

You will lead the delivery and coordination of our youth programmes, creating meaningful, structured opportunities for young people aged 5–18 to grow, connect, and develop skills for life.

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of weekly Forest School and youth development sessions across multiple sites

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join RSVP’s well‑established ISVA Team. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated professional to provide specialist support to adults impacted by sexual violence.

This 24‑hour‑per‑week role, worked across three set days (Monday and Friday 9am–5pm, and Thursday 11am–7pm), offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have reported, or are considering reporting, their experiences to the police.

As an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA), you will provide practical guidance, emotional support and clear, empowering information to help adults understand their rights, options and choices. You will walk alongside survivors as they navigate their next steps — offering consistent support whether or not they choose to engage with the criminal justice process.

As a Domestic Abuse Specialist working for Aurora New Dawn, you will work to strengthen the police response to domestic abuse by providing independent, specialist expertise within police control rooms.

Based in a local police control room you will work alongside call handlers, dispatchers, and officers to:

• assess risk and ensure no opportunities for safeguarding are missed
• quality assure police responses to domestic abuse calls
• review incident logs, DASH/DARA risk assessments, and Body Worn Video (BWV) footage
• provide operational advice to officers deploying to incidents
• identify and facilitate referrals into specialist domestic abuse support services
• improve victim safety from the very first point of contact

Working under the direction of a Senior member of staff you will work independently but collaboratively with Thames Valley police, and in line with our organisational values.

This role involves supporting and developing police staff within police centres. There may also be occasions in the future where you attend callouts alongside officers to observe their engagement with victims, to provide feedback that supports risk assessment and safeguarding processes.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an on-site role which requires you to be co-located within police control rooms and/or call centres during your shifts.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Call Review and Quality Assurance

• Listen to live or recently recorded 101/999 calls to assess victim engagement and identify missed domestic abuse indicators.
• Provide constructive, specialist feedback to call handlers to strengthen practice.
• Review selected calls or conduct sampling to identify domestic abuse calls that may have been missed.
• Review body-worn video (BWV) footage as required.

1. Risk Assessment and Escalation

• Review DASH/DARA risk assessments, police logs, and intelligence systems to identify concerns.
• Escalate cases requiring regrading or altered response times to the Force Control Room (FCR) Inspector, documenting all recommendations.
• Identify risk patterns and ensure timely action to safeguard victims.

• Provide attending officers with relevant operational advice and background information via manual intelligence checks, such as:
