Job description

Do you want to work in a role where you can support people to rebuild their lives?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Worker to join our teams in Southwark. This role is based in a Semi Independent service based across 12 sites within the Southwark borough.

In this role, you will work together with clients to identify their personal aims and ambitions and support them to make and carry out plans towards achieving them. You will also ensure the client can identify and access relevant services within the borough, whilst liaising with other statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure the appropriate support for clients.

Your role will specifically based across 2-3 sites but will be expected to visit the others as required to support the team.

We work with a Recovery Based Approach, tailoring support to each individual’s needs and goals.

About you

To thrive in the role of Project Worker you will have:

  • A good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless people or personal experience of homelessness yourself.
  • A knowledge of or some experience of supporting vulnerable people through a process of change.
  • Good interpersonal and listening skills; patience and resilience we will provide you with the knowledge and training, you need to work with clients in a holistic and person-centered way.
