Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity is a small charity with big ambitions. We support brain tumour patients and families across Yorkshire and fund pioneering research in our region.
We're now looking for an exceptional Patient Empowerment Coordinator to lead the delivery of our exciting new Empowering Choices programme, funded by Macmillan Cancer Support.
This innovative project has been designed alongside people affected by brain tumours to ensure nobody faces their diagnosis alone. You'll help people in Yorkshire feel informed, confident and empowered throughout their journey by providing practical support, developing new resources, strengthening partnerships with NHS teams and creating opportunities for people to learn from others with lived experience.

Job Title: Community Engagment Lead

The successful candidate will lead on mapping services in the Borough; forming partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies based on identified needs of the service to enhance and extend multi-disciplinary knowledge available at and through the Gaia Centre.
The post holder will be responsible for managing relationships with partner agencies and coordinating co-locations within the Gaia service as well as negotiating for staff from the service to co-locate with partner agencies.
You will build capacity for a community response to meet the needs of survivors of VAWG by drawing on the expertise of other specialist and by-and-for service providers, such as those working with LGBTQ+ victim/survivors, disabled victim/survivors or victim/survivors of so-called ‘honor’-based violence in order to provide a wraparound support as part of a broader service offer.
The post holder will also support a team of the Peer Support Mentors and volunteers who will be leading on some practical aspects of individual and group support for survivors accessing the Gaia Centre.
The successful candidate will be skilled at working with a diverse range of audiences and will be adept at creating and developing new partnerships and pathways that contribute towards coordinated community response and improve the lives of survivors of domestic abuse and gender-based violence.
The post holder will also have experience of developing teams and supervising people.

Purpose of the Role
The Youth Activities and Enrichment Coordinator will play a key role in planning, coordinating, delivering and monitoring educational, recreational and enrichment activities as part of our award-winning Bright Futures Children’s and Young People’s Programme. They will offer information, advice and guidance to people facing issues that are currently or may soon affect their housing security — delivering swift, impactful interventions that help reduce the risk of homelessness, and advocating and mediating on clients' behalf as they navigate complex bureaucratic systems. This role involves building meaningful relationships with some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, connecting them with the Welfare Benefits, Housing Allocations, Citizens Advice, mental health and substance misuse support they need and deserve.
The postholder will work closely with a wide range of partners, including homelessness service providers, local authorities, and healthcare and wellbeing organisations. They will carry a varied caseload, conducting assessments and working creatively to navigate the complex and challenging issues that can lead to clients becoming homeless, supporting them to engage with services. Working closely with SPEAR's Homeless Health Link Team, they will support colleagues with client-facing work and carry a caseload of clients requiring homelessness prevention support.
This role will be spread across 4 days per week.

About the Role
To be a key member of the staff team delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services. Taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of high-quality crisis support, and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the Crisis Cafe/Helpline services. Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Nightlight Service (Cafés, Helpline, 24/7 Crisis House, A&E Liaison service and Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention, and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.
We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Cafes and 24/7 Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our small, hands-on IT team supporting over 500 users across more than 50 sites. This is a varied role combining day-to-day IT support with exposure to networking, systems administration, and infrastructure support.
You will work across offices, residential services and remote locations, helping to keep systems running and supporting staff delivering vital services. You’ll gain exposure to a multi-site environment including networking, VPNs, and cloud systems.

About the role
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention of volunteers across Woman's Trust.
Working closely with managers across the organisation, the postholder will oversee the end-to-end volunteer journey, ensuring volunteers receive a positive, inclusive and well-supported experience from application through to departure.
The role will coordinate recruitment for all volunteer opportunities, including volunteer counsellors, facilitators, administrative volunteers, finance volunteers, fundraising volunteers and other volunteer roles as required.
