Established in 1999 SeeSaw Grief Support is an award-winning charity supporting children and young people in Oxfordshire who are bereaved or about to be bereaved. The work supporting children, young people and their families is delivered by a team of clinical staff and volunteers, who work with families in their own homes. Because of this regular travel is involved, often at the end of the school day. We regularly provide support for between 400-500 children and young people each year. 

Our clinical team of 5 practitioners, and 12 volunteers, is supported by our Clinical Data and Volunteer Manager. Due to increasing demand for our service, we are expanding our team and looking for a 6th practitioner to join us, focusing on direct work with bereaved children and young people, and those facing the death of a close family member. We are looking for candidates who have gained experience of working with children and young people in a range of settings. You are a good communicator and skilled at making and sustaining supportive relationships with children and young people to effect change.Our practitioners have a caseload of individual children and their families, and liaise with professionals from schools, health, social care and children and young people’s mental health services, as well as with our team of Volunteer Support Workers. You will be able to work collaboratively and on your own initiative, ideally have a qualification in health care, social work, counselling, psychological services or education; knowledge of therapeutic interventions in grief work would be helpful but not essential as training will be given.

Pro Bono Community is seeking a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us achieve greater access to justice.

Pro Bono Community is a registered charity that has developed specialised training programmes for students, trainees and lawyers covering the practical skills involved in delivering free legal advice and areas of social welfare law. In conjunction with the training, the charity arranges and manages volunteering placements at Law Centres and other advice agencies. The charity’s activities include a number of grant-funded projects which the coordinator will be heavily involved in.

We are looking for individuals to join our team who share our aims and mission and are driven to make them a reality.

About the role

Pro Bono Community is looking for a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us run programmes aimed at improving the amount and quality of access to justice by training law students and others and then placing them to work as volunteers at advice agencies.

The Training and Volunteer Coordinator will report to and work alongside the Director to undertake work supporting the charity’s activities with a focus on recruiting and training students and lawyers and then coordinating volunteering placements for them at Law Centres and advice agencies. The role also includes administrative work relating to a pioneering digital advice clinic the charity runs in conjunction with a Citizens Advice agency in London.

This is a full-time role with a salary of £31-35,000 depending on experience and the charity is seeking to appoint someone with knowledge of training and the legal/advice sectors and/or experience in a similar role. Occasional weekend work may be required. The role will involve working from home with some travel involved to London and elsewhere in support of the charity’s activities. We are recruiting a Queer Space Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of Greenwich’s Queer Space. Queer Space is for LGBTQIA+ individuals (18+) who live or have a GP in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and are looking to connect with others and get support for their mental health through engaging with peers.

As this service is peer-led, we are looking for a proactive and compassionate individual, with lived experience of LGBTQIA+ communities and mental health challenges, to coordinate the programme. This will include developing the service in line with service users' needs, facilitating the fortnightly sessions, and leading on project management and administration. Alongside this, we would like the Coordinator to recruit and supervise peer support volunteers to support with group facilitation.

You will have experience in group development, facilitation, and volunteer management, and an excellent understanding of service user engagement, particularly with the LGBTQIA+ community. You will be highly organised and proficient with case management tasks and project management administration.

Groups will be held at the Forum at Greenwich community centre and will take place twice a month, once in the evening and once in the afternoon. 

The role is for two 7.5 hour days per month, until 31 March 2027.

London Landmarks Half Marathon Event Assistant

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Event Assistant to be on the frontline of participant support, helping ensure every runner has the best possible experience. It’s an exciting time to join the team as we look ahead to our 10th anniversary event in 2027.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and delivering excellent customer service. You’ll be the first point of contact for participant queries across email and phone, providing clear, friendly and timely support, and making sure every interaction is handled with care and accuracy.

Alongside this, you’ll support website updates, maintain accurate information across systems, and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll also contribute to community engagement and event delivery, including supporting the coordination of performers and musicians, assisting with our volunteer programme, and helping deliver a smooth and engaging race weekend.

We’re looking for someone calm under pressure, detail-focused and proactive, someone who can juggle multiple tasks, adapt quickly and keep things moving in a fast-paced environment.

Want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with venues, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

You will have experience of programme planning, delivery and development including community led/owned programmes. You will have experience of building relationships with a range of stakeholders and be passionate about food and cooking.​

There will be frequent travel to our projects in Yorkshire and The Humber, with some evening and weekend work needed to cover our projects. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this rewarding role.​

We currently have an exciting opportunity for two MK Volunteer Services Managers to join our team, working flexibly from our office in Milton Keynes and from home.

Why are these roles so critical to us?

The MK Volunteer Services Managers will play a pivotal role in recruiting and managing volunteers in Milton Keynes for our social clubs and our home visiting services. 

· One MK Volunteer Services Manager will support our existing social clubs, which provide a range of activities and services to people with vision impairment.

· One MK Volunteer Services Manager will support our home visiting services, which include reading, shopping and befriending services to ensure that local people with sight loss are not socially isolated and alone.

Your Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Social Clubs & Events Role

· Supporting the delivery of existing social clubs, including organising activities and coordinating volunteer-led sessions.

· Supporting the planning and delivery of key events across the year (e.g. Volunteer Appreciation, AGM).

· Recruiting and managing volunteers involved in group-based activities.

· Providing administrative support to ensure activities and events are well organised and run smoothly.

Home Visiting Services Role

· Managing referrals and coordinating home visiting services, including reading, shopping and befriending support.

· Matching volunteers with clients appropriately, ensuring a positive and effective service.

· Supporting and maintaining relationships with volunteers and clients.

· Maintaining accurate records and supporting effective use of systems (including Beacon).

Shared Responsibilities (both roles)

· Supporting volunteer recruitment across Milton Keynes.

· Building positive relationships with volunteers, members and local partners.

· Contributing to the ongoing delivery and development of services.

· Resilient and adaptable: You will be able to manage changing priorities and respond to challenges positively, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused approach

Required Experience

· Experience working or volunteering in the voluntary/community sector – ideally with an understanding of the current challenges in the sector.

· Experience in recruiting, coordinating, or supporting volunteers or growing a team, service or project through community engagement.

· Demonstrable success in building partnerships, networking or stakeholder engagement.

· Comfortable managing projects or local services with limited supervision, ideally in a community-based setting.

· Experience of managing a varied workload and prioritising effectively across multiple tasks.

· Prior experience working with or supporting people with sensory loss would be beneficial, but not essential.

About the Project
This innovative new project will create opportunities for people who are often excluded from heritage and community spaces. Working in partnership with the National Trust at Aberdulais, the project will:

• Recruit, train and support new volunteers using our lived experience peer-led model

• Increase access to heritage and nature, improving wellbeing
• Build a more diverse and sustainable volunteer base to support the future of the site

About this key role
You will support the delivery of community engagement activities and help recruit, train and support volunteers at the Aberdulais Community Heritage Hub. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will play a hands-on role in helping individuals build confidence, develop skills and progress into volunteering opportunities.

You will:

• Support the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers
• Help deliver heritage training sessions and develop learning resources
• Provide one-to-one and group support to volunteers
• Assist with the planning and delivery of community events and activities
• Promote the project and support outreach and engagement
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and reporting
• Work with partners and referral organisations to identify and support participants
• Support volunteers to progress into further opportunities

What we are looking for

• Experience supporting volunteers, learners or service users in an advisory, training or support capacity
• Ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational and administrative skills, including record-keeping
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners
• Confidence managing workload, deadlines and reporting requirements

Martin House provides free specialist palliative care to babies, children and young people with complex and life-shortening conditions. Families from across West, North and East Yorkshire have access to our care 24/7, 365 days a year, including specialist doctors. Every year we care for more than 550 families, at the hospice, in hospital and in families’ own homes, as well as supporting around 200 bereaved family members.

We’re looking for an inspiring and strategic Special Events Team Manager to lead our Special Events team in delivering a vibrant, high‑impact calendar of fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship events. You’ll play a key role within the Major Relationships team, driving consistent year‑on‑year income growth and deepening supporter engagement through an ambitious and thoughtfully curated Special Events portfolio.

The role will involve:

1. Leading, managing and inspiring the Special Events Team through regular one-to-ones, appraisals and performance reviews, ensuring team members meet agreed SMART objectives and income targets.
2. Supporting the delivery of the Special Events Fundraising Strategy and managing the Special Events Portfolio, including philanthropy and major partnership engagement and development events.
3. Identifying opportunities for growth and ensuring strong return on investment across all activities.
4. Working closely with senior volunteers and committees to deliver a successful and sustainable Special Events programme.
5. Implementing, evaluating and continually reviewing the performance of the Special Events portfolio with the Head of Major Relationships to maximise income.
6. Delivering the Special Events programme within budget and to agreed timescales, supported by detailed work plans and accurate record-keeping  on the fundraising database
7. Collaborating with wider fundraising teams to ensure the Special Events Portfolio appeals to key stakeholders, including the development of sponsorship opportunities.
8. Leading the delivery of annual committee-led Special Events, working with committees, venues, suppliers, sponsors and volunteers to ensure events are delivered to target and achieve year-on-year growth.
9. Assisting with the recruitment, coordination and motivation of volunteers to support Special Events fundraising activities.
10. Maximising income from Special Events and existing supporters, while identifying, securing and developing new relationships with major donors and partners.
11. Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships, representing Martin House at the highest level.
12. Working with the marketing team to developing and implement effective marketing and PR strategies to support the successful delivery of all Special Events to maximise ticket sales, income generation and relationship development.
13. Ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of supporters, projects and events using the fundraising database and relevant shared systems.
14. Researching, recommending, developing and delivering new and innovative fundraising products for the Special Events Team, in collaboration with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Team Manager.
15. Supporting the Head of Major Relationships with cultivation, development and stewardship events, working closely with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager.

There is an expectation that the post holder will need to travel to visit businesses, attend meetings and conferences etc. sometimes outside of working hours.
