Every day, unpaid carers across Angus provide essential care and support to family members, friends and neighbours. At Angus Carers Centre, we work to ensure carers are recognised, valued and supported through information, advocacy, wellbeing services and opportunities for connection.

Established in 1996, we support almost 2,000 adult and young carers each year through a dedicated team of 23 staff and over 20 volunteers. As we begin developing our next five-year strategy, we are seeking an exceptional leader to help shape the future of support for unpaid carers across Angus.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal senior leadership role within Angus Carers Centre.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the Board of Directors and Chief Financial Officer, you will help shape organisational strategy, lead operational services, develop partnerships and ensure the delivery of high-quality support for unpaid carers across Angus.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine strategic influence with hands-on leadership, helping to shape our priorities, services and impact over the coming years.

• Lead and develop operational services across the organisation.
• Drive service quality, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain partnerships across health, social care and the third sector.
• Lead, support and develop managers, staff and volunteers.
• Contribute to organisational strategy and future planning.
• Ensure effective governance, safeguarding and risk management.
• Champion the voices and experiences of unpaid carers.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a confident, collaborative and values-led leader with experience of leading people, services and change.

You may already be working within the charity sector, health and social care, community development, local government or a related field. Most importantly, you will have strong leadership skills, experience of partnership working and a commitment to improving outcomes for unpaid carers.

You will bring:

• Significant leadership and management experience.
• Experience leading services and developing teams.
• Strong partnership-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of governance, quality assurance and risk management.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• Understanding of Scotland's third sector and health and social care landscape.
• A commitment to equality, inclusion and person-centred practice.

Knowledge of carers' rights and the Angus partnership landscape would be advantageous but is not essential.
