About the role

We are recruiting for a strategic, results driven Operations Transformation Manager (Scientific Research), to join our Programme Management team and play a pivotal role in driving operational transformation across the organisation.

As an Operations Transformation Manager - Scientific Research, (known internally as a Senior Project Manager: Operations), you will lead cross‑functional strategic projects that strengthen the Institute’s operational effectiveness and support world‑class scientific research. You’ll take ownership of end to end project delivery, from scoping and planning through to implementation and evaluation, using your analytical skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and manage risks and dependencies.

Working closely with colleagues across operations, science, and corporate services, you will design and deliver improvements that enhance processes, reduce risk, and introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working. Your work may involve transforming operational environments for scientists, improving regulatory compliance, or deploying new technologies and processes that drive efficiency without disrupting live operations.

You will also contribute to building project management capability across the Crick, supporting the Head of PMO in establishing consistent tools, frameworks, and reporting for the wider project portfolio. You will bring confidence, flexibility, and strong stakeholder engagement skills to motivate others and deliver meaningful, lasting change.

What you will be doing

As an Operations Transformation Manager at the Crick, you will:

Project management

• Leading on operational change projects from initiative through development to implementation with ownership of project planning, timelines, resources and risk management.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to control parameters: scope, budget, dependencies and timeline.

Business improvement delivery

• Work with the sponsor and senior stakeholders to agree the scope of the project, options for delivery and developing the business case to support benefits realisation
• Prepare and present clear and concise proposals, and roadmaps, for review by stakeholders to explain the strategy and approach to solutions.

Stakeholder management

• Build relationships with key stakeholders up to Director and Lab Leader level, across science and operations to gain a deep understanding of user wants and needs.
• Organise, chair, and document meetings and workshops between stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to collaboratively discuss, explore and understand issues and brainstorm solutions.

About you

You will have:

• Educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant discipline.
• Experience of working in business analysis, business transformation and/or project management roles.*
• Proven recent record of accomplishment for end-to-end delivery of business change projects, involving a diverse group of internal stakeholders, with the application of structured and agile project management tools.*
• Demonstrates critical analysis of business systems and processes, including experience of capturing user requirements, mapping business processes, ability to articulate and visualise complex problems to non-technical stakeholders.*
• Ability to build persuasive arguments based on data, logic and the objective merits of solutions, reconcile conflicting viewpoints and remove obstacles to progress.
• Understands change management and its criticality to the success of project outcomes.*

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in person days a year, including two Directorate meetings and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London. In addition there will be a requirement to attend team and donor meetings in person as required.

To deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers through Shine membership.To empower and enable members living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community across England. 

SHINE has over 15,000 members with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. This post will bring a real focus to the Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk area and will be an exciting opportunity to engage with members and develop and deliver the services we offer. 

We work with members of all ages from our Little Stars aged between 0 – 12, young people are members of our FIRE project and we have established adult support. Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place. 

The role is home based but you will be required to attend clinic at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge on the first Friday of every month. You may also be required to cover other clinics, events in London and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area of Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk and occasionally across wider areas and nationally including meetings at our head office in Peterborough.

Overview

Involve Community Services is a local infrastructure charity that supports the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sectors of Bracknell Forest and Wokingham Borough. We offer development and governance support, funding advice, grant writing, volunteer and trustee recruitment, and a comprehensive training programme. We also run several well-being projects that include Community Navigation, Cancer Support and Social Prescribing within Wokingham Borough.

Role summary

The Community Development Worker will work across Wokingham Borough to assist small charities, community groups and social enterprises who have a health and well-being focus, as well as those organisations who aid residents with protected characteristics. They will assist organisations to find solutions to existing challenges and overcome barriers to optimise their delivery, e.g., through sourcing volunteers, committee members, funding opportunities, forming simple governance structures, and seeking premises.

The post holder will advocate for members of the community with protected characteristics as well as those whose voices are seldom heard, and act as a voice for marginalised groups, to aid inclusive decision making and delivery of services across the borough. The postholder will develop a broad, informed view of the local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector and will communicate this to colleagues within Involve, the wider Friendship Alliance (a collective of charities who have a shared interest in addressing loneliness and social isolation), and to statutory partners. The postholder will also identify gaps in provision and help to develop or enhance existing partnerships so to optimise their impact to residents. 

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly attend community events throughout Wokingham Borough
• Create quarterly reports to articulate the work of the postholder.

About the role

This senior leadership role provides strategic and operational oversight of WGN’s Clinical Services, ensuring the delivery of innovative, safe, high-quality, survivor-centred, trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapeutic support for survivors of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

As Head of Clinical Services, you will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering individual therapy, group work, body-based therapies and web-based counselling within WGN’s intersectional Black feminist framework and Holistic Empowerment Recovery (HER) Model. You will shape the strategic direction of clinical services, strengthen partnerships, embed strong clinical governance and safeguarding practice, and foster a culture of collective care, reflective practice and anti-oppressive leadership.

This role combines strategic leadership, service development, clinical oversight and people management to ensure WGN’s therapeutic services remain sector-leading, accessible and survivor-led.

About you

As Head of Clinical Services, you will:

• Provide strategic and clinical leadership across all therapeutic services, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, strengths-based and non-pathologising support within an intersectional feminist framework.

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, line managing senior clinical staff and embedding reflective practice, wellbeing and anti-oppressive leadership.

• Hold responsibility for safeguarding and risk management as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring robust case oversight and partnership working to keep survivors safe.

• Drive service development and innovation, using data, survivor feedback and best practice to shape responsive therapeutic pathways and specialist trauma interventions.

• Ensure equitable and inclusive access, strengthening referral pathways, managing demand with service managers and reducing barriers for marginalised survivors.

• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with professional standards and funder requirements and using learning to improve services.

• Build partnerships and sector influence, representing WGN externally and contributing to training, knowledge-sharing and policy discussions.

• Embed survivor voice and co-production across service design, delivery and development.

About the Role

Citizens Advice, in partnership with The Trussell Trust, have been running the Help through Hardship Helpline (formerly the Trussell Trust Foodbank helpline) for just over a year. The helpline has been highly successful in reaching those clients most in need. To date Citizens Advice has answered nearly 57,000 calls, helped feed over 70,000 people and recorded £13 million in expected financial gains for clients.

The Helpline has been extended to local Citizens Advice offices and we're looking for new advisers to join our team in Liverpool who will provide information and advice on the issues clients are facing, and help them access foodbank vouchers.

The successful candidate will provide generalist advice in a wide range of enquiry areas such as benefits, housing and employment. You will provide telephone advice within the working hours of the service and work with the on-site supervisor to support Clients most in need.

You will have excellent communication skills, be confident, motivated and willing to try new things. We’re not looking for the finished article, if you have the right attitude then we can help to develop your skills.

The Service User Network (SUN) is an innovative, community-based service providing open-access, facilitated peer support groups for people experiencing emotional difficulties, isolation, and unhelpful behavioural patterns. Based on therapeutic community principles, SUN actively involves members in running, developing, and evaluating the service.

Beyond support groups, SUN offers social events, focus groups, community meetings, and a regular newsletter, fostering a safe, empowering, and inclusive environment for members.

The service combines online and face-to-face provision, ensuring accessibility across Surrey and North East Hampshire.

The Role

The SUN facilitator with lived experience will be working closely with a SUN specialist clinician to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) support groups in different community-based locations across Surrey and North East Hampshire.

SUN provides community-based, open access facilitated peer support groups and aims to help people develop effective ways of coping and improve their relationship with themselves and others.

As a SUN Facilitator, you will:

• C-deliver regular SUN support groups in the community, both face to face and online
• Work in collaboration with the co-facilitator and the SUN members, within support groups
• Use own lived experience of mental health problems associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder to support the development and knowledge of the service and wider services.
• Contribute to ensuring that any potential risk is being constantly assessed within a culture of positive risk taking and shared responsibility.
• Contribute to team supervision and business meetings and consider information regarding the safety and wellbeing of the people who access the service.
• Co-lead on different areas of the service on a rota basis, i.e., reporting, outreach, and member involvement.
• Actively engage in 1:1 check-ins and managerial supervisions.

SUN facilitators receive regular supervision and ongoing support to sustain this emotionally rewarding role.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Personal lived experience of mental health issues associated with personality disorder
• Previous experience of working within a professional environment
• Ability to reflect on and appropriately share your own life experiences and personal experiences of mental ill health as part of the facilitating role of the groups
• Ability to guide others in taking charge of their own recovery

We are looking for a Partnerships Engagement Officer to join us at this exciting stage in Settle’s development. Finally, they will ensure that all the behavioural and medical needs of foster dogs are met whilst on foster, sometimes dealing with contentious issues in a professional and sensitive manner.
