Job description

Home-Start HOST is seeking enthusiastic and community-focused Family Navigators to join an exciting partnership with Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council’s Family Hubs programme. The Family Navigator Manager will provide day-to-day leadership, support and supervision to the Family Navigator team, and lead on the delivery of the Family Navigator program.

You will work directly with families, helping them understand and access the wide range of support available across Oldham. From Family Hubs and community groups to specialist services, you will help families build confidence, overcome barriers, and connect with the support they need.  You’ll support a team of Family Navigators and coordinate activity across Oldham’s Family Hubs network, ensureing that families experience connected support.

We’re looking for applicants who:

  • Have experience supporting children, parents or families.
  • Understand the challenges families can face and are passionate about improving outcomes for children.
  • Know Oldham’s communities and value the importance of local connections.
  • Are warm, approachable and able to engage confidently with a diverse range of families and partners.
  • Have good safeguarding awareness.
  • Are confident leading and supporting a team, and leading on project delivery
