Brief role description

​

The Programme Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in delivering the Forces Employment Charity’s Ex-Forces Employment Charity Programme. This programme provides regionally-based, comprehensive employment support to all who have served in HM Armed Forces, ensuring personal and locally informed guidance for veterans seeking employment or career change.

Working closely with the Director of Veterans and Families Employment, the Programme Manager drives operational excellence, strengthens service consistency across the UK, and represents the charity’s employment offer in the devolved nations. They ensure that our national network of Advisors is supported, empowered, and aligned to strategic goals, enabling the very best outcomes for the veteran community.

It’s essential that they have experience managing multi-site or national teams, alongside a strong understanding of employment support or careers guidance. They will be confident working with a range of stakeholders, able to use data to inform decisions, and an excellent communicator. Strong IT skills and a genuine commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community are also key.

​

Ideally, they will bring experience from the veterans or employability sector, along with some understanding of devolved nation policy or frameworks such as safeguarding or vocational training.

About This Job

Are you passionate about Agile delivery, team facilitation, and helping digital products reach their full potential? As an Agile Delivery & Scrum Manager within Cadet Digital Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our digital platforms, including the Westminster MIS and its supporting applications, are delivered efficiently, collaboratively, and with a strong focus on user needs.

Working closely with the Product Owner, developers, QA engineers, and our Solutions Architect, you will lead Agile ceremonies, help maintain a healthy delivery rhythm, and support the refinement and organisation of work across multiple streams. You will play a key part in turning strategic intent into clear, actionable delivery plans, and will work autonomously to keep delivery flowing smoothly.

If you enjoy creating structure, coaching teams, solving delivery challenges, and helping technical and non technical colleagues work effectively together, this role offers the opportunity to directly shape how digital services support cadets and volunteers across the UK.

Essential Skills/Experience

· Experience working as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Manager, Agile Project/Delivery Coordinator, Business Analyst, or similar role within a digital or technology environment.

· Strong facilitation skills and confidence leading Agile ceremonies.

· Experience translating requirements into user stories and delivery ready artefacts.

· Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (developers, testers, designers, product roles).

· Good understanding of Agile delivery practices (Scrum, Kanban) and practical application in real teams.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non technical groups.

· Ability to manage competing priorities, track risks, remove impediments, and keep work moving.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Purpose of the Role

To manage and deliver the Veterans’ Foundation’s external communications, ensuring clear, consistent and high-quality messaging across all public-facing activity. The role will support fundraising through effective marketing, media, social and events, helping to strengthen visibility, engagement and brand coherence.

Principal Duties

The main duties of the Communications & Engagement Lead are:

You will lead the delivery of our AI Lighthouse partnership with NetHope, act as our internal responsible AI adviser, and develop exciting new business development opportunities including an AI Sandbox and Rapid Innovation Fund. The Role:

The Digital Content Officer will support the implementation of digital communications plans that will help NFCC to deliver on its vision of being a digital first service to support fire and rescue services and the communities they serve. This will include developing and enhancing NFCC’s digital presence across the corporate website, online engagement platforms, and wider online and social media channels. The postholder will work to support the Digital Communications Manager and wider Communications team in the implementation of our Digital Communications Strategy which seeks to establish NFCC platforms as the go-to place on information about our work and resources.
