Responsibilities of our Branch Support Unit Advisor:
Deliver proactive operational and administrative support to Volunteer Teams, Centres, and regional Operations staff, managing communications, enquiries, and departmental processes
Coordinate and support volunteer engagement activities, including recruitment drives, events, and with charity policies, while facilitating cat relocations and centre visits
Lead on organising meetings and events, sourcing cost-effective venues, managing logistics, and supporting project implementation across regional teams
About the Branch Support Unit team:
We sit within the Central Operations team
Our day-to-day work includes; maintaining branch information on the database; arranging events lottery licenses, PetPlan, cat relocations, NCC visits and processing Annual Returns; supporting Operations staff with projects and collating and dispatching mail outs to Volunteer Teams and centres
We currently have a team of 8 and one team leader
What we’re looking for in our Branch Support Unit Advisor:
Lives within regular commuting distance of Chelwood Gate, RH17 7TT
Administration experience preferably within an office environment
A customer service background with experience interacting with members of the public
Proven ability to multi-task and work on own initiative, accurately and under pressur
A confident communicator, particularly using the telephone
Strong Microsoft Office knowledge including Word and Excel
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Able to travel away from home with some overnights

Homeless Link is the national membership charity for frontline homelessness services. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support for young people aged 13–24 with cancer. Every day, seven young people in the UK hear the words “you have cancer”, and Teenage Cancer Trust ensures they do not face it alone.
The charity funds specialist nurses and youth support teams in hospitals across the UK and provides vital emotional, practical and psychological support for young people and their families during and after treatment.
Regional fundraising is a core income stream for Teenage Cancer Trust, generating income through a combination of community and corporate fundraising. Supporters are often personally connected to the cause, including young people, families and communities directly impacted by cancer, making this a highly rewarding fundraising environment.
Teenage Cancer Trust is now seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (West Scotland) to grow and develop income across the West of Scotland. Job Summary
The purpose of the job is to assist individuals and families in their resettlement into life in Gloucestershire. To be responsible for managing the full support needs of caseload families including helping them to apply for benefits and learn to manage their finances; organising and ensuring attendance at ESOL classes; facilitating access to medical services including initial health assessments and follow ups; applying for schools and ensuring children are supported to settle in; encouraging attendance at community groups and with other practical arrangements as needed on a bespoke basis.
To support individuals and families with complex physical and psychological vulnerabilities in order that they are able to link with the help that they need to overcome these as fully as possible.
To record, monitor and evaluate casework practice and maintain confidential records for each family using in-house data recording systems.
To manage the transition of allocated families from intensive support to independence by empowering families to understand the systems and develop the skills required to live well in the UK.
To provide support and advice in a manner which understands the core elements of the refugee journey, the impact of trauma and principles for effective recovery.
To support and assist families to seek and secure meaningful and gainful employment to mitigate benefit cap restrictions; to include the development of CV’s and skills audits.
