MLC Partners is recruiting a Strategic Finance Partner for a large, highly impactful organisation operating nationally across the UK.

This is a strong opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys genuine business partnering rather than traditional month-end-focused finance. You’ll work directly with senior operational leaders, providing financial insight, constructive challenge and commercial support to help them make better decisions and identify financial risks early.

The role is predominantly remote, with a national remit and connection to a regional business unit.

The role:

As Strategic Finance Partner, you’ll manage relationships with a portfolio of Operational and Central Directors, providing targeted financial support where it can have the greatest impact. This includes regular strategic reviews, identifying emerging risks and providing financial challenge ahead of key decisions.

• Partner with operational leaders to assess financial performance, risks and opportunities
• Develop financial options and recommendations to support decision-making and service sustainability
• Provide financial input into commissioner and customer discussions, including funding, performance and contract variations
• Support the resolution of significant income and invoicing issues
• Provide finance input into bids, tenders and re-tenders, including pricing, assumptions and sustainability
• Deliver practical financial training and coaching to non-finance colleagues
• Work closely with FP&A, Financial Control and Shared Services to ensure decisions are supported by robust financial information

About you:

You’ll already have experience within finance business partnering or management accounting, with a track record of supporting budget holders and reviewing financial performance. You should be comfortable identifying financial risks, understanding the commercial and operational drivers behind the numbers, and working collaboratively across a wider finance function.

The Welcome Directory is a multi-faith charity working to empower faith and belief communities to offer safe and lasting welcome to prison leavers. Our national directory is a list of faith/belief communities who are committed to welcoming prison leavers – the directory is used in all prisons across England and Wales. This resource is a lifeline for those leaving prison and seeking to find connection and community where they can belong and practice their faith/belief.

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Officer to lead on administrative support to the charity under the direction of the Project Manager, supporting on engagement with various stakeholders and networks. The goal of the post is to ensure that The Welcome Directory can effectively develop the reach of our work and achieve exponential growth, by maximising administrative efficiency.

Whilst this is a 6-month contract, there is the potential to extend where funding permits.

This will include, but may not be limited to:

Operations

• Engaging with interested faith/ belief communities/ networks, processing registrations and maintaining directory records
• Leading the co-ordination and delivery of the annual Affiliates Scheme
• Supporting the production and logistics of annual resource mail-outs
• Engaging in periodical team email campaigns for intentional growth
• Supporting the annual data refresh and survey, including follow-up, in collaboration with the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Events

• Provide administrative support in preparation for the online Prison Awareness Course (PAC) and other webinar events
• Provide technical support (e.g. Zoom hosting etc) for the delivery of the PAC and other webinar events
• Planning bi-annual team days and any one-off events, in consultation with the Project Manager
• Representing The Welcome Directory at selected events (as required)

Safe Zones provides short-term step-down crisis support to young people experiencing mental health crises, offering a safe and supportive environment. As Service Manager you will lead and coordinate the delivery of mental health early help services across Greater Manchester, ensuring all aspects of service delivery for children and young people are delivered safely, effectively and to a consistently high standard in line with contractual requirements.

About the role

Alexandra Rose collects and uses a wide range of data to help us run our programmes, understand our impact and influence policy change. We have developed monitoring, reporting and evaluation systems that help us track programme delivery, make informed decisions and demonstrate the difference our work makes to the diets, health and wellbeing of adults and children. We are looking for a proactive and analytical Data and Insights Officer with a keen eye for detail, who thrives on improving data quality, analysing complex information and generating insights that support decision-making across an organisation. Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide expert employment law advice and support to Citizens Advice Lewisham leadership and the wider organisation. The HR Lead will ensure the organisation maintains compliance with all employment law obligations, mitigate legal risks, provide specialist guidance on complex HR matters, and support the development of robust HR policies and procedures. We are looking for highly motivated and organised individual to coordinate our accreditation scheme. The role will work with our network of employers, and support new organisations through the accreditation process. 

The Programme Officer will lead our work across the South West and support our managers to grow and deepen engagement with Living Wage Employers through our associated schemes.
