Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end payroll function across a large national organisation. This is a home-based role with occasional travel as required.

The Role

As a Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of the full payroll lifecycle for a workforce of approximately 1,500–2,000+ employees, ensuring an accurate, compliant and timely payroll service.

You will lead a small payroll team, working closely with Finance and HR to ensure strong governance, reporting and continuous improvement across payroll operations.

As a Payroll Manager, you will:

• Lead the delivery of end-to-end payroll processing across monthly cycles
• Ensure payroll is accurate, compliant and delivered on time
• Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting and audit requirements
• Oversee complex payroll elements including statutory payments, deductions and variable pay
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Payroll Officers
• Act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders across Finance and HR
• Provide payroll insights and reporting to support financial planning and decision-making
• Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and systems
• Support system optimisation and work towards reducing manual processes
• Ensure submissions to HMRC and pension providers are accurate and timely

About You

Ideally, you will have significant experience managing payroll operations within a medium to large organisation, along with strong leadership and technical expertise.

You will be confident working in a complex, fast-paced environment and able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.

You will need:

• Proven experience managing payroll for a large workforce (1,000+ employees)
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience leading and developing payroll teams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working in a controlled or audit-focused environment
• Experience using payroll and HR systems (e.g. IRIS, Cascade or similar)
• A proactive approach to improving processes and systems

Experience within the charity sector or working in a complex, multi-site organisation would be advantageous.

Community Support Lead: Partnerships 

Reports to: Community Support Manager 
Contract: Full-time 

Role Purpose 

As Community Support Lead: Partnerships, you will play a key role in strengthening the relationships that underpin HOST’s work, ensuring every hosted partner (HP) receives consistent, responsive, and values-driven support. 

You will lead on partner onboarding, engagement, and ongoing support, ensuring needs are met with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. This includes managing communications around invoices and payments, responding to general queries, and proactively identifying and escalating potential risks. 

Blending strong attention to detail with a people-first approach, you will shape and continuously improve the partner experience — from initial onboarding through to long-term collaboration — ensuring every interaction reflects HOST’s mission to support the world’s change-makers. 

Core Responsibilities 

1. Partner Engagement and Onboarding

• Lead Welcome, Onboarding, and regular check-in calls with hosted partners, building clarity, trust, and consistency in every interaction. 

• Provide clear guidance on HOST’s systems, processes, and expectations, ensuring each partner journey is well-defined and smoothly implemented. 

• Identify risks, issues, or emerging support needs during interactions, and promptly share these with the Community Support Manager. 

• Support escalations and follow-up actions to maintain a high-quality, responsive partner experience. 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications, ensuring relevant information, issues, and risks are clearly documented and shared across the team. 

• Negotiate PAYF contributions, add-on pricing, and additional services, ensuring partner needs are met efficiently and effectively. 

Reporting cadence: Weekly summary and inclusion in monthly CS reporting. 

2. Query Resolution and Partner Care 

• Respond to general hosted partner queries with accuracy, clarity, and empathy, achieving a minimum 90% satisfaction score. 

• Ensure at least 90% of queries receive an initial response within 24 hours. 

• Maintain consistently high standards of written and verbal communication, reflecting HOST’s values of integrity, care, and responsiveness. 

• Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to ensure partner needs are resolved promptly and effectively. 

Reporting cadence: Weekly dashboard updates and monthly performance reporting. 

3. Partner Relationship and Invoice Management 

• Work closely with hosted partners to amend invoices and resolve payment queries accurately and in a timely manner. 

• Ensure all payment-related communications and outcomes are clearly documented in ClickUp and Zendesk. 

• Monitor and report on invoice corrections, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement. 

Reporting cadence: Monthly 

4. Risk Identification, Screening and Escalation 

• Identify and assess potential financial, operational, or reputational risks arising from partner interactions. 

• Conduct initial screening of partner-related concerns in line with HOST’s due diligence processes. 

• Escalate identified risks promptly to the Community Support Manager or relevant stakeholders for review and mitigation. 

• Contribute to monthly Community Support risk reporting and ongoing team learning. 

Reporting cadence: Real-time escalation of risks, with consolidated monthly reporting. 

5. Community Support Administration 

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across ClickUp, Zendesk, and internal systems. 

• Support the review and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and clarity across processes. 

• Contribute to internal administrative tasks, ensuring operational readiness for audits, reviews, and ongoing compliance. 

Reporting cadence: Monthly 

6. Community Support Resources and User Journey 

• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Community Support materials, guidance, and onboarding resources. 

• Support the enhancement of the hosted partner user journey, ensuring all touchpoints are clear, consistent, and aligned with HOST’s values. 

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify gaps and opportunities to strengthen the overall partner experience. 

Reporting cadence: Quarterly reviews with recommendations for improvement. 

7. Growth and Learning Areas (Development Focus) 

• Take ownership of more complex hosted partners with advanced operational or financial requirements. 

• Support the development of new Community Support Leads through training, mentoring, and sharing best practice. 

• Deliver or support hosted partner Health Checks, ensuring all follow-up actions and documentation are completed effectively. 

Reporting cadence: As directed by the Community Support Manager. 

You Bring 

• Experience in operations, client service, or relationship management within HOST. 

• Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and care.

Job Purpose

 The Head of Corporate Partnerships is accountable for delivering substantial and sustained income growth from the private sector, with clear ownership of income targets, pipeline strength and conversion performance.

The role will lead the development and execution of a high-value, ESG-aligned corporate partnerships strategy, focused on securing and growing six-figure and multi-year partnerships. Combining strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, the postholder will personally lead priority opportunities while building a high-performing, commercially focused function capable of doubling corporate income over a three-year period.

Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Partnerships, the role will strengthen Habitat GB’s position as a partner of choice for purpose-driven businesses, leveraging the global Habitat network to deliver scalable, high-impact partnerships

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Corporate Partnerships Strategy & Growth

· Develop, implement and continuously refine a high-value corporate partnerships strategy aligned to organisational growth ambitions

· Deliver significant year-on-year income growth, contributing to the target to double corporate income within three years

· Lead the development of market-leading ESG-aligned partnership propositions, linked to SDGs, climate resilience and inclusive housing

· Identify, prioritise and unlock opportunities with UK-headquartered multinationals and national corporate partners

· Leverage the global Habitat network to secure multi-country and scalable partnership opportunities

Income Generation & New Business Delivery

· Personally lead the end-to-end development of strategic partnerships—from prospect identification through to negotiation and contract

· Secure six-figure and multi-year partnerships aligned to organisational priorities

· Deliver against agreed annual income and new business targets (anticipated to be £1.3m and £500k+ in year one), with a clear trajectory for sustained growth.

· Oversee the strategic management, renewal and year-on-year growth of existing partnerships

· Drive increased partnership value through upsell, cross-portfolio engagement and multi-year agreements

· Act as senior relationship lead for flagship and high-value accounts

· Maximise value through integrated opportunities including employee engagement, brand alignment, volunteering and digital activation

Global Volunteering Programme

• Provide strategic oversight of Habitat GB's Global Volunteering programme, ensuring it supports organisational income, engagement and partnership objectives
• Line manage the Volunteer Coordinator and support the effective delivery, growth and performance of the programme
• Ensure appropriate systems, processes, risk management and safeguarding measures are in place to support the safe and effective operation of the programme
• Embed Global Volunteering opportunities within corporate partnerships and supporter engagement activity to maximise participation, income and impact

Team Leadership & Capability Building

· Lead and develop the Corporate Partnerships team, currently comprising the New Business Manager and Volunteer Coordinator, with planned responsibility for the Corporate Partnerships Manager and New Business Executive roles as these positions are recruited

· Set clear objectives, KPIs and expectations aligned to income delivery and pipeline development

· Build a high-performing, accountable and commercially focused team culture

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to grow support for our work in the UK and internationally. 

You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. Working closely with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Fundraising Committee, you will bring focus, energy and professional fundraising expertise to a charity with a loyal supporter base and significant potential for growth. 

Key Details:

Location:  UK (Flexible: Remote or Hybrid if preferred). There will be a few in-person meetings/events in our London office or other specific venues each year, with flexibility to work where convenient (office or home) most of the time. 

Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE). Flexibility over how hours are distributed across the week.

Salary:  £37,000 – £43,000 FTE, pro rata (c. £22,200 - £25,800 for 3 days per week), depending on experience

What You will do:

• Lead the delivery of HOPE worldwide UK’s fundraising strategy, with clear plans, priorities, KPIs and income targets.
• Develop a compelling case for support that inspires existing donors, re-engages lapsed supporters and reaches new and younger audiences.
• Design and deliver segmented supporter journeys across individual giving, regular giving, appeals and stewardship activity.

Community Development Worker — Holtspur, Beaconsfield

Join Beaconsfield URC as our Community Development Worker and turn a newly refurbished building into a welcoming place in Holtspur.

About us

Beaconsfield United Reformed Church serves two very different communities. Beaconsfield itself is well-resourced, with an active church life. A short distance away, Holtspur tells a different story — isolation, cost-of-living pressure, and too few places for people to simply connect. We're investing in our Holtspur building to change that, and now we need someone to bring it to life.

The role

This is a rare chance to shape a role from the ground up. As our Community Development Worker, you won't be managing an established programme — you'll be building one. You'll get to know Holtspur street by street, person by person, and turn what you learn into activities that genuinely matter: community meals, bereavement support, family and children's groups, informal spaces where people feel they belong. You'll recruit and grow volunteers around you, and you'll help make our refurbished Holtspur building the welcoming hub it's meant to be.

Faith sits at the centre of this role. You'll work closely with our Minister and Eldership, and you'll have the confidence to create natural, unforced opportunities for people to explore Christian faith alongside the practical support you offer. This post carries an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for the postholder to be a practising Christian.

• Building a consistent, trusted presence in Holtspur, especially with families, children, young people and isolated residents

Southampton Street Intensive Homeless Hostel has a permanent vacancy for a Homeless Support Worker to work in a busy, demanding, but rewarding environment. You will work in SSJ’s 24/7 intensive homelessness accommodation, helping to provide life-skills and housing-related support to individuals with complex needs through a trauma-informed, strength-based approach including structured support planning and guidance.

As a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, you will manage a client caseload safely and effectively to support individuals who want to make changes to their lives. You will deliver a range of person-centred interventions, including monitoring Opiate Substitute prescriptions and promoting harm reduction. Primarily based at The Recovery Hub in Southsea, your role will involve visiting clients in other services or home environments, carrying out assessments, and working closely with medical teams and key partner agencies to deliver safe and effective support.

We are looking for a trauma-informed, compassionate, and self-aware candidate with experience working with substance misuse and mental health client groups. You should possess excellent risk management skills, strong professional boundaries, and the ability to build meaningful, engaging relationships with service users. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and willing to work flexibly (including evenings and weekends) to meet service user needs and ensure safeguarding standards across their caseload.

The Role

The Purpose of the Role

The Refugee Employability Officer will provide tailored employability support to resettled refugees in Hampshire under the Afghan Resettlement Programme (ARP), the United Kingdom Resettlement Scheme (UKRS), Community Sponsorship and other eligible schemes. 

The role delivers structured one-to-one and group-based support focusing on supporting individuals towards employment. This will include agreeing and supporting individuals towards employability related goals and actions within the Individual Support Plan, job search and application support, interview preparation, understanding UK workplace expectations, employer engagement, and links to training, apprenticeships and (where appropriate) self-employment. This work will support individuals often facing barriers such as limited English, recognition of overseas qualifications, childcare responsibilities, health needs or confidence challenges.

Employability support will be integrated within wider Integration support planning to promote sustainable economic independence, strengthen longer-term integration outcomes and support access to appropriate public services where needed.

Key Working Relationships

This position will work closely with all staff involved in the delivery of the Hampshire Resettlement and Integration Support Service. This will include the Programme Manager (Resettlement and Integration), Programme Manager (Economic Empowerment), Senior Integration and Resettlement Officers, Integration Officer, Bilingual Integration Officer, Bilingual Resettlement Officers, ESOL and Education colleagues, Employment Caseworkers and other relevant staff.

This position will also work closely with staff at our partner organisation, Citizen Advice Rushmoor, Jobcentre Plus (DWP), statutory funded employment support services (ie Connect to Work), education and training providers, employers, and relevant advice organisations across Hampshire.

This role will be line managed by the Senior Integration Officer with a dotted line to the Programme Manager (Economic Empowerment). 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Employability support to individuals (55%)

• Conduct structured individual assessments to identify skills, qualifications, employment history, transferable competencies and career aspirations, translating these into clear and realistic actions and goals within an Individual Support Plan. 

• Deliver tailored job readiness support through one-to-one coaching and group-based workshops, including CV development, interview preparation, UK workplace norms, digital literacy, job search strategies and confidence-building.

• Support individuals to access and sustain employment opportunities, facilitating job matching, including liaising with employers, facilitating introductions, supporting applications and providing on the job follow-up assistance to promote job retention and progression.

• Monitor and respond to employment and training‑related risks, including exploitation, unsafe work and discrimination, ensuring appropriate safeguarding action, advocacy for clients, and partnership working with Citizens Advice Rushmoor and other external partners.

• Provide structured guidance to individuals considering small‑scale self‑employment work, including exploring viable income‑generating ideas, basic planning and market research, understanding relevant UK start‑up and compliance requirements (e.g. sole trader status, HMRC registration and Self Assessment, banking, insurance and any required licences), and signposting to appropriate start‑up and business support services.

• Facilitate access to vocational training, apprenticeships, accredited courses and skills development opportunities that enhance employability and support longer-term career progression.

External engagement and partnerships (20%) 

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with local employers across Hampshire to facilitate direct placements, identify suitable job opportunities, work experience placements and promote inclusive recruitment practices amongst local employers.

• Promote awareness among employers of the skills and contributions of resettled refugees, supporting inclusive workplace practices and addressing misconceptions where appropriate.

• Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with Jobcentre Plus (DWP), education and training providers, and business advice and start-up support services to strengthen pathways into work, training and self-employment.

• Represent the service in local employability and partnership forums, contributing to multi-agency strategies that improve labour market access and progression for resettled refugees.

• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all reporting requirements, including database management, case noting, and file maintenance with a focus on evidencing client progress and outcomes. This will require completion of accurate and timely records and case notes in line with data protection and reporting requirements. 

• Provide logistical support for the procurement of into‑work support items and the delivery of employability workshops and employer events, including preparation of participant materials and coordination with partners.

• Analyse trends and barriers affecting employment outcomes and contribute insights to service development discussions to strengthen overall programme impact.

• Minimum two years of related experience, delivering tailored employability support with refugees, migrants or other vulnerable populations in Hampshire.**

• Experience delivering one-to-one employability coaching and/or group-based job readiness workshops in diverse, multi-lingual and cross-cultural environments.

• Experience conducting outreach to the private sector to build relationships and raise awareness. 

• Experience supporting clients to access employment, education and training opportunities, including liaising with Jobcentre Plus (DWP), training providers and employers where appropriate.

• Prior experience of using a client relationship management system or case management database, with accurate case noting and outcome tracking.

Catalyst Support is looking for a confident and values-led Safe Haven Team Lead to support the smooth running of our out-of-hours crisis prevention and support service across Aldershot, Guildford and Woking. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a partnership model that brings together community connections and statutory mental health providers to reduce emotional and psychological distress for people experiencing, or at risk of escalating to, a mental health crisis.

You will help lead and support Safe Haven staff, manage rotas and cover, contribute to safe and effective incident management, and work closely with colleagues and partner organisations to ensure the service is consistent, high quality and responsive. The role will suit someone with experience in mental health or social care settings who can remain calm under pressure, communicate confidently, support staff wellbeing and performance, and build positive relationships across services.

About Catalyst Support

Through Community, Specialist and Outreach services, we support recovery, mental health, and wellbeing - together every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage rotas, ensuring there is adequate cover for holiday and sickness
• Solve issues of staff cover with partner organisations as they arise
• Undertake monthly team meetings with all Safe Haven staff
• Deliver one to one supervision for staff, ensuring all performance issues, complaints and support needs are addressed
• Support with annual appraisals for Safe Haven staff
• Ensure all Catalyst staff are following the incident management process and utilising the on-call rota 
• Participate in the on-call rota, ensuring you are able to respond to urgent calls, follow-up and report incidents during Safe Haven opening times
• Attend any necessary meetings to meet the needs of Safe Haven
• Liaise with the Senior Manager and Director of Services in preparation for the Service Review and Steering Group Meetings in relation to service delivery
• Work with the Senior Manager around operational efficiencies and ensure the service follows best practice
• Work with the Senior Manager around any complaints, grievances and serious performance issues
• Work as part of a team of Team Leads and communicate well with colleagues working from different locations
• Develop relationships with service users, carers and statutory and non-statutory organisations, in order to provide more integrated preventative and crisis management provision
• Ensure high quality services are delivered consistently and adhere to best practice guidelines, including safeguarding and safe practice.
• Take responsibility for personal development, identifying personal training needs and participate in regular supervision and appraisal
• Work within the Catalyst governance framework
• Work 1 shift a month at a Safe Haven site (minimum 10 a year), to be paid additionally to Team Lead hours at Support Worker rate

About you

• Is able to work on your own initiative while also contributing positively as part of a wider team

About the role:

Reporting to the Digital marketing Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and maximising digital channels to support fundraising, supporter engagement and organisational objectives. This includes managing and creating content across website, email, newsletters and social media platforms.

Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and wider teams, the postholder will create engaging, audience-focused content including copywriting, video and digital assets that increase awareness, engagement, fundraising income and supporter retention.
