The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit worked with 10GM, other VCSE providers and local communities to co-design our approach to a community-led violence reduction programme. The programme is one of the Violence Reduction Unit’s flagship projects across Greater Manchester and is in line with the ambitions of the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Strategy and Public Service Reform programme to involve communities to identify priorities, problem solve and direct investment and interventions accordingly. In Salford, the programme will be delivered within Little Hulton.

Hours: Part-time, 18.75 hours per week.

Days: To be confirmed (core hours are worked between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday).

The team has successfully influenced the law on microchipping, pet theft and commercial kitten sales in England and worked with the Scottish Government to regulate cat breeding and rehoming activities. The team also runs digital campaigns as part of its strategy.

The Survivor Support Fund ("the Fund") has been established by the Archbishops' Council to provide short to medium-term support to people who have experienced Church of England-related abuse and who are facing an urgent and immediate need for assistance as a result.

Funding decisions are made by an independent panel drawn from a variety of backgrounds, including professionals and those with lived experience of abuse, and chaired by a person independent from the Church. We are now seeking to establish this panel.
The Fund has three priorities: signposting to statutory agencies, local resources and relevant charities; grant for therapeutic support; and grant for basic needs.
The Fund will be easy to access, and aspects of the design of the Fund were co-produced with victims and survivors. Based on findings from consultation and co-production, the Archbishops' Council approved a Terms of Reference that set out the criteria and parameters of the Fund. Panel decisions will be regularly reviewed to ensure fairness and equity in all applications.
Panels are held as often as needed - it is anticipated that this will be fortnightly. With a pool of panel members, frequency of meetings will vary on volume of applications, and it is anticipated panel members will attend a meeting every one to two months. The Panel meetings will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.
Decision Panel meetings are expected to last up to about an hour and a half, depending on the number and complexity of discussions required. Panel members are required to review panel papers before meetings.
Panel members will be supported by the two Panel Secretaries to the Fund (staff members of the National Safeguarding Team).
Panel members can come from backgrounds of different faiths or no faith.

Remuneration
This role is a working role as a contractor and consultant. This is not a voluntary role or a typical survivor participation opportunity.
Panel members (professionals and people with lived experiences) will be paid £125 per panel, including preparation, meeting time and any correspondence after meetings. The contract will be for three years.
Panel members will invoice the Archbishops' Council on a monthly basis and be responsible for their own tax arrangements.

A note on data protection
As an organisation, we have to comply with data protection law. Under such laws you will be a data processor on behalf of the Archbishops' Council, and we will be sharing sensitive and confidential data with you as panel member.
The role of data processor comes with responsibilities and obligation which you must accept if you wish to act as panel members. For example, you cannot use, share or alter information shared with you for the purpose other than your role as a panel member of the Fund. This is to protect panel members as well as the applicants who come to the Fund. We will provide mandatory training to ensure panel members understand their responsibilities.

Panel members will be required to complete a Basic DBS check and provide two references. These processes must be completed ahead of their first panel.
You will be offered a contract, and you will need to sign a data processing agreement.
Panel members will also be required to undertake mandatory training, including:
- Church of England National Safeguarding Basic Awareness training (1 hour and 15 minutes)
- GDPR(UK) training (40 minutes), and
- an online training day to meet other panel members, to familiarise themselves with the Terms of Reference and other important matters, on Thursday, 10 September (10am to 4pm).

This role will join an ambitious programme developing the capacity of the Libraries Connected public library networks. We want to help them evolve as strategic partnerships able to deliver social impacts at scale and to secure resources and investment from national, regional and sub-regional government. Be key to the development of libraries as essential social infrastructure, and help them secure the resources they need to make an impact. 

The role is part of a small team of two Regional Managers, supported by an Administrator. 

By developing our existing regional networks into formal, resourced structures we can enable the regions to: 

• Secure investment for the service and for the libraries from regional and devolved / combined authority funds.
• Create unique regional offers to meet specific needs across and within the regional areas.
• Deliver at scale. For example, the Yorkshire & Humber regional network has 15 library services, and 348 library buildings. 
• Create opportunities for cost saving – through joint procurement and shared / collaborative services. 
• Share good practice and experience on a formal and integrated basis. 

We have 9 regional networks in England, covering all library services and ranging in size from 9 to 33 services. Job summary

This role will predominantly support the Service Delivery Managers and Support Officer across the UK in the effective planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training to meet the strategic objectives. The postholder will be required to work directly with young people and their families, schools, colleagues, partner organisations and professionals, delivering accredited training across the UK.

You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. Key accountabilities

• Coordination and delivery of wheelchair skills training, travel training and train the trainer across the UK.
• Conduct on site visits prior to delivery of travel training to plan routes and inform risk assessments.
• Book relevant modes of transport for travel training sessions.
• Writing Service Level Agreements for key partners; content providers and schools.
• Obtaining information from content providers and schools, such as Public Liability, DBS and key Risk Assessments.

• Ensure schools complete paperwork for accredited services and liaise with Skills & Education group regarding learners
• Sending event invites to young people and families and updating the database as required.

About the role

We're looking for experienced facilitators to join our growing network of Associate Programme Leads, delivering CoachBright programmes in schools and universities across England.

Depending on demand, your availability and the geographical areas you're able to cover, you may be offered one or multiple programme assignments throughout the academic year.

This is a freelance contract for services, offering the flexibility to organise your own schedule and decide which programme assignments you accept. Each programme has a clearly defined scope, fixed programme fee and agreed delivery timeline.

As an Associate Programme Lead, you'll take responsibility for delivering allocated programmes, building positive relationships with schools, universities and volunteers, and ensuring every programme is delivered to CoachBright's high standards.

You’ll be supported by a named CoachBright colleague who will provide programme oversight, quality assurance and operational support throughout your assignments.

What you’ll do

• Deliver CoachBright programmes in accordance with agreed programme briefs.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality sessions that engage and inspire participants.

• Complete all required safeguarding, data protection and induction requirements before programme delivery.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, programme debriefs and partner review meetings as agreed.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to help continuously improve CoachBright programmes.

Our programmes

As an Associate Programme Lead, you may be commissioned to deliver one or more of CoachBright's programmes, depending on your experience, availability and the needs of our partner schools and universities.

Although each programme is different, all are designed to improve the confidence, independence and future opportunities of young people from underrepresented backgrounds through high quality coaching.

Programmes include:

UniCoach Programme

Our UniCoach Programme trains university students to become academic coaches, supporting small groups of pupils to build their confidence, independence, resilience and academic progress.

As an Associate Programme Lead, you'll recruit, train and support university volunteers, build strong relationships with school and university partners, coordinate programme delivery and evaluate its impact.

A typical UniCoach programme features 20-30 pupils, and 5-10 undergraduates, and involves:

• 8-10 week delivery period

• Recruitment, training, and coordination of undergraduate volunteers

• Seven sessions at the school featuring all pupils and coaches, normally for one hour at the same time each week

• A graduation celebration event at a local university of the school

• An evaluation impact report

• Programme fee approx £2,850

Peer to Peer Programme

Our Peer to Peer Programme trains older pupils to become academic coaches for younger pupils, helping both groups to develop academically while building confidence, leadership and resilience. 

As an Associate Programme Lead, you’ll.train pupil coaches, support the school throughout programme delivery, maintain the day-to-day relationship, oversee programme quality and evaluate its impact.

A typical Peer to Peer programme features 15 older pupils coaching one younger peer each (total cohort size of 30) and involves:

• 8-10 week delivery period

• Training session for older pupils (coaches)

• Seven sessions at the school featuring all 15 pairs, normally for one hour at the same time each week

• A graduation celebration event at a local university of the school

• An evaluation impact report

• Programme fee approx  £700 - £1,900 (depending on number of sessions selected by partner)

LifeCycle Programme

Our LifeCycle programme provides one-to-one professional coaching for university students from underrepresented backgrounds, helping them navigate university life, develop key skills and achieve their personal and academic goals.

A typical LifeCycle programme features a cohort of 20-30 undergraduate students, who receive six 60-minute online coaching sessions, alongside three in-person workshops.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may either:

• Deliver one-to-one coaching yourself (for associates with recognised professional coaching qualifications); and/or

• Coordinate a team of professional coaches, managing programme delivery, partner relationships and evaluation.

Typical programme fee:

• Programme coordination and management only: approx £2,750

• Programme coordination & professional coaching: fee dependent on coaching experience and cohort size

Programme fees vary depending on the programme type and will always be agreed in advance before work begins.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• A genuine passion for improving life chances for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and a commitment to CoachBright's mission and values.

• Experience delivering programmes, workshops, coaching, mentoring or training with children, young people or adults.

• Experience building positive, professional relationships with schools, universities or other partner organisations.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan ahead, manage competing priorities and consistently meet agreed deadlines.

• Demonstrable ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take responsibility for delivering high quality outcomes with minimal supervision.

• Comfortable working on a freelance basis, including managing your own workload, availability and invoicing arrangements.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders.

• Confidence using digital systems to manage programmes, maintain accurate records and produce high quality written reports.

• Willingness and ability to travel independently to programme locations within your preferred geographical areas.

• Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check through CoachBright prior to programme delivery.

Desirable:

• Experience recruiting, training or supporting volunteers.

Key details

Contract Type:
Associate Programme Lead (Freelance Contract for Services). You will be engaged as an independent contractor, not an employee of CoachBright.

Programme Availability:

Programme assignments are offered throughout the academic year as partner schools and universities confirm delivery. The number of programmes offered will vary depending on demand, your availability, and the geographical areas you are able to cover. While we cannot guarantee a minimum number of programme assignments, we are looking to build long term relationships with associates who consistently deliver excellent programmes. 

Support:
Every Associate Programme Lead is supported by a named CoachBright colleague who provides programme oversight, quality assurance and operational support.

Training:
Successful applicants will complete a paid induction before delivering their first programme and receive programme-specific training where required.

Safeguarding

An Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training are required before programme delivery begins. 

Travel

The role is home-based with regular travel to partner schools and universities. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with CoachBright's Expenses Policy. 

Insurance

Successful candidates will be covered by our insurance so will not need to source their own.

The Role

Arrhythmia Alliance and its two sister charities (AF Association and STARS – Syncope Trust) is one of the world's leading heart rhythm charities, delivering internationally recognised educational programmes, medical conferences, awareness campaigns patient educational events, awareness programmes and exhibiting at congresses to promote and deliver our work.

Working alongside and reporting to the HRC Manager, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of healthcare professional conferences, patient education events, our programmes, awareness campaigns and digital programmes across the UK and internationally.

You will provide day-to-day project coordination and administrative support to ensure programmes and events are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Event & Programme Coordination

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of conferences, meetings, webinars, exhibitions and events.
• Support the HRC Manager with the day-to-day coordination of multiple projects and event timelines.

· Coordinate venue bookings, accommodation, travel, catering, audio-visual requirements, faculty invites, registration and event logistics.

· Maintain project plans, action trackers and planning documentation.

· Prepare delegate materials, speaker information and event resources.

· Liaise with internal teams to ensure all event requirements are completed within agreed timescales.

· Monitor deadlines and escalate any risks or issues to the HRC Manager.

Coordination & Communication

• Act as a day-to-day coordination contact for faculty, venues, suppliers and delegates, referring decisions and complex queries to the HRC Manager as appropriate.
• Coordinate communications between internal departments, suppliers and external contacts.
• Arrange planning meetings, circulate agendas and record actions where required.
• Ensure information is shared accurately and promptly with everyone involved in each project.

Event Delivery

• Support the on-site delivery of conferences, meetings programmes and events.

• Assist with the smooth running of live, hybrid and virtual events.
• Resolve routine operational issues during events, escalating where necessary.
• Coordinate post-event evaluations, feedback collection and reporting to support continuous improvement.

· Work closely with the Communications team to support the timely promotion of events and ensure all promotional materials comply with Organisational and regulatory requirements.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time position with the working week consisting of Monday to Thursday 9.00am–5.30pm with 1 hour lunch break, and Friday 9.00am-5.00pm with

30-minute lunch break.

Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to work occasionally outside normal office hours to support conferences, meetings, educational programmes and charity events. This will include occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight stays and international travel. Flexibility is a key requirement of this role.
