We are looking for sessional farm assistants who will support the Farm team in realising the vision of the farm by supporting the delivery of a variety of activities, including:
· To deliver youth and children’s education sessions and activities on the farm, supporting young people, to help care for the animals, maintain the farm and garden and learn in the outdoors.
· To deliver birthday parties on weekends to groups of up to 30,
· To deliver animal experiences, giving families the opportunity to meet and greet our rescued and rehomed animals
· To support our adult day service with caring for our animals
· To support with the animal cleaning and feeding rota, alongside groups or individuals.
· To support with the running of our café, which runs on the weekends. Working alongside our youth volunteers to serve refreshments and food.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
· Relevant qualifications or experience in animal management/public sector

· The flexibility to work across the week, including some weekends.

You’ll act as the organisational expert for digital channel analytics, providing the insight, standards and expertise needed to inform decisions across fundraising, communications and digital activity. In this multifaceted role, you will be the ultimate "go-to" person, bridging the gap between daily administration, financial coordination, HR support, governance, and internal communications. You will ensure our UK operations run like a well-oiled machine—constantly researching and implementing proactive ways to improve our setups and optimising everyday workflows—allowing our team to focus on maximising our impact in transforming the UKs food system.
This isn't just a standard administrative role—you will also step up as our "Digital Champion," driving tech efficiency (including AI integration) across the team, while maintaining an eagle-eye view of UK compliance, data integrity, and financial health. Reports to: Co-Director, ProVeg UK
Location: Remote (UK-based) with occasional travel for co-working and events
Hours: Part-time (28h/week) - 0.8 FTE
Salary: Pro-rated for a part-time role, based on a full-time equivalent of £32k (35 hours/week).
Contract: One year fixed term (possibility of extension afterwards)
Responsibilities
Finance & Board Administration
Financial Oversight: Manage invoice creation, process team expenses, have a good understanding of our overall budget, and pull monthly budget reports from Sage for budget holders.
Reporting: Prepare core financial reports for the board (budget vs. actuals, projections, cash flow charts) and support fundraising financial queries.
Board Support: Coordinate quarterly board meetings, manage agendas/slides, take action notes (utilising AI tools), and track the risk and action logs.
Operations, HR & Governance
HR Support: Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, set up equipment, update personnel databases, and prep monthly payroll, working together with our People & Culture team.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure Companies House records, CIC documentation, insurance policies, and GDPR compliance are strictly up to date, supplier contracts management.
Team Culture: Plan team-building events, manage co-working events, and coordinate team gifts and milestone cards.
Data Integrity & Digital Championship
Digital Champion: Act as the internal expert for HubSpot and Wrike, providing staff training and sharing tips on leveraging AI for productivity.
Data & Copy Editing: Maintain clean data entry in HubSpot (donations, donor tracking, reporting, supporting prospect research, following up on proposals), and serve as the team’s eagle-eyed proofreader for newsletters, reports, and proposals.
Centralised Knowledge Wiki: set up and maintain an internal knowledge Wiki (Confluence), maintain up-to date information, assure everyone on the team has access to information they need
Support to Co-directors and PV UK team:
Week-to-Week and Ad hoc support: preparing budget queries, business cases, liaising with the external provider for bookkeeping / accounting etc.
Further support: creating monthly and quarterly reports in HubSpot
Qualifications
Exceptional administrative skills to manage everything from HR onboarding and wellbeing scheduling to high-level Board preparation and Director support.
A strong eye for detail to proofread and edit internal and external communications, ensuring different pieces of content meet grammar, tone, and branding standards.
Ability to maintain meticulous data integrity in our CRM for programme and fundraising activities.
Prepared to embrace being a ‘Digital Champion’, helping team members to learn and embrace platforms we use such as Wrike / Hubspot / Gemini.
Organised and able to hold us to strict legislative timelines or important annual dates (e.g., filing of accounts / updating Companies House records).
Good financial competency and confidence in liaising with People and Culture / accountants.
An understanding of basic UK employment processes, Health & Safety, insurance handling, and corporate governance (e.g., Companies House).
