We are looking for a self-motivated and results driven Head of Finance and Administration to join World Horse Welfare in a newly created role reporting to the Director of Finance, IT & Administration, line managing three members of the Finance and Administration team.

In this vital role, you will ensure strong financial controls across all areas of the charity, manage income and expenditure, and lead on statutory accounts preparation, payroll, VAT, pensions, and tax compliance. As a key business partner, you will work closely with budget holders of all levels, providing data and analysis on the performance of charity operations, including the four Visitor Centres, to ensure excellent financial foresight and planning, as well as enabling the senior leadership team to make timely strategic decisions. You’ll also oversee governance responsibilities such as annual statutory filings, insurance, fleet management and reporting on the annual carbon footprint.

We are looking for a qualified accountant who has experience of charity finance at a similar level, an in depth understanding of charity VAT and experience running in-house payroll processes. You will have the ability to explain financial information and produce financial reports for a wide variety of audiences. High level of IT skills particularly around data manipulation and Microsoft Excel is essential. As a line manager to three members of staff, you’ll have previous experience in managing a team in a supportive and effective manner. Experience of a retail environment, familiarity with fundraising methods and regulations, and experience of finance system implementation is highly desirable.

The role is based in Norfolk and is currently a hybrid split of 2 days in our head office in Snetterton and 3 days at home. You may be required to attend events around the UK so the ability to travel occasionally is necessary.

Role - A strategic role, responsible for supporting, developing and maintaining effective partnerships to support the local VCSE sector and Redcar & Cleveland more generally. Enhance is the newly funded VCSE infrastructure support service in Redcar and Cleveland made possible through the collaboration of a number of funders to fill a gap in local provision.

The service model for Enhance is based on three key areas:

Overview

The Royal School of Needlework (RSN) is seeking a highly motivated and organised Fundraising Assistant to join our team and provide administrative support for our fundraising activities. The Fundraising Assistant will play a key role in generating vital income and helping the organisation achieve its fundraising goals by assisting with donor relations, event planning, grant research, data management, and campaign coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Support and Stewardship:

• Become a ‘super’ user of the CRM/database.

Purpose of Role

The Digital Fundraising Growth Manager will manage our digital paid media planning and delivery, driving audience engagement at all stages of the marketing funnel, specifically with the aim of delivering growth in our supporter base and income.

The post holder will directly oversee all digital paid media activity in line with agreed campaign and year round engagement and fundraising strategies and plans, including but not limited to social media advertising, search marketing, programmatic display, and emerging channels ensuring plans are fully integrated with other engagement and fundraising activity (including owned and earned media across all channels and wider organisational efforts).

Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you will drive digital fundraising performance across a range of campaign and product offers, optimising media spend; creative and supporter journeys using data-driven insights informed by a rapid and robust test and learn methodology to ensure our investments are optimised for performance.

As the Comic Relief’s paid media champion, the post holder will also play a key role in ensuring alignment of media campaigns with integrated web and CRM journeys to deliver consistent and personalised supporter experiences. · Keep abreast of the fundraising marketplace and wider legislative and regulatory landscape to identify opportunities to enhance Comic Relief’s digital fundraising activities and ensure compliance of our digital paid media activity.

· Undertake and manage ad-hoc duties as needed, ensuring alignment with the scope and responsibilities of the role.

Person specification

Essential criteria

· Proven experience in paid digital media management, ideally in a growth-focused role within a charity, agency, or brand.

· Technical expertise:

- Demonstrable experience using digital advertising platforms, including Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, YouTube, and programmatic display.

- Experience in audience acquisition and growth strategies, particularly in driving engagement and fundraising through digital channels.

- Excellent data analysis skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and campaign performance dashboards.

· Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously, deploying excellent project management, in a fast-paced environment, able to identify risks, issues and dependencies within a project / campaign and to use this information to inform decision making in a timely and accurate way.

· Understanding of and experience of using a CRM system and related analytics or marketing tools. 

· Experience of annual planning and year-round budget management, including ability to set detailed budgets and KPIs, reforecast and proactively manage campaign budgets.

· Experience of and capability in briefing and analysing complex data and insight information to produce clear briefs and effective marketing plans.

· Experience of managing marketing planning and tracking, including media planning KPIs and metrics across online and offline channels, and creating campaign alignment and channel integration to optimise campaigns with a focus on income generation.

· Excellent communication skills.  Effective relationship builder with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different styles and ways of working, including:

-Experience of working collaboratively with a range of team members.

-Experience of managing external parties such as creative and media agencies.

-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and influence stakeholders.

-Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Proactive self-starter and opportunity spotter with proven ability to work independently, managing own work plan to deliver against set goals and objectives to agreed timescales. and learn and develop in a fluid, high impact environment.

About the role

You will be joining a friendly and face paced fundraising team to identify, support and retain regional supporters. You will be responsible for

* Driving engagement across your region (and beyond) to proactively identify, support, and retain supporters.

* Working with the wider Regional Fundraising Team and collaborate on relationships that might be across the UK

*You'll be generating a strong network of community and corporate supporters to secure sustainable income for the charity. You'll also be building a pipeline of prospects of community and corporate to ensure future support.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have
*Demonstrable knowledge of what it takes to proactively identify, develop, and cultivate supporters to maximise income and deliver against KPIs, objectives and the Community Team business plan.

*A good knowledge of the fundraising landscape and opportunities in the UK

*Experience of building and account managing/stewarding a personal portfolio of high value supporters & corporate partners, volunteers and in aid of events to achieve your financial target.
