About the Role

As our Housing Coordinator you will ensure The Angelou Centre’s refuge accommodations continue to be a safe and welcoming safe for women. You will ensure we comply with statutory building, property and Health & Safety obligations. You will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance, coordinating repairs and maintenance, managing tenancy-related matters, and supporting the wellbeing of women and children accessing our refuge services. You will also line mange our Refuge and Housing Support Workers and our Haven Finance Officer

 Key Responsibilities

 Refuge Management

• Ensure that the refuge (dispersed accommodation) provides a safe supportive and welcoming environment in compliance with UK housing laws and the requirements of registered social landlords.
• To ensure completion of all necessary forms including housing and welfare benefit forms. 
• To liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies and networks, e.g. Housing Benefit -Networks/Housing agencies 
• Action any breaches of leases or tenancy agreements promptly and efficiently to ensure compliance with lease/tenancy obligations.
• Proactively address any arrears in a timely fashion and take appropriate action to recover debts.
• Working as a key part of our management team, supporting the Executive Director with planning, monitoring, evaluation and development planning
• Encouraging a positive and supportive environment in the refuge, ensuring that women’s and children’s voices are heard and central to our services
• Working in partnership with voluntary and statutory organisations, including Local Authorities and Children’s Social Care and other external agencies, keeping up to date with local resources and services available
• Ensuring any safeguarding issues for children or vulnerable adults are raised immediately as per our safeguarding policies

Health & Safety

• Taking the lead in all Health & Safety issues for the Refuge service, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation, with responsibility for risk assessments, accident reporting, fire safety, repairs and maintenance issues etc,
• To update policies to align with changing requirements.
• To provide technical support on property-related problems.
• To undertake site inspections and to write follow up reports and action plans.
• To maintain the property database.

Line Management

• Engaging all team members in regular service reviews to promote best practice
• Managing and participating in the on-call support rota, responding to emergencies outside office hours on a rota basis
• Ensure staff are fully trained and able to carry out their duties

In order to deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is required and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. The Supporter Journey Officer is a new role within the Supporter Journey team. This role will suit a proactive team player who has experience in the fundraising sector together with a keen interest in, and knowledge of, supporter experience and stewardship. About the role

As the Supporter Journey Officer, you will assist the Supporter Journey Manager with the development and elevation of an integrated supporter journey programme at Versus Arthritis, ensuring our contactable community receives a consistent and highly engaging supporter experience, which builds loyalty and inspires action. 

This will include delivery of audience focused, integrated organisational journeys that build on our highly motivated community of supporters, based on shared values. These journeys will be managed across our platforms and audiences to significantly grow our voluntary income and lifetime value. You will be responsible for the delivery of communications across channels, including email, post and text messaging, ensuring accurate and timely implementation of agreed communications.

Central to increasing loyalty and inspiring positive action from our audience, we share the extent of the work being done by Versus Arthritis for the 10 million people in the UK living with arthritis. Alongside product managers, you will work to optimise in-product journeys across the organisation through consultancy and shared learning. You will work collaboratively with the head of department and other directorate colleagues to create and embed a fundraising and engagement culture across the organisation.

A key part of the role is to provide practical, administrative support and to lead on facilitating the collection of insight evaluation and future development, ensuring this supports team performance and learning. We’re a small and dynamic team at the forefront of innovating the charity’s Income and Engagement directorate.

The responsibilities:

• To work with the Chief Innovation Officer to ensure that all programme delivery of school interventions is delivered in line with our vision, values and ethos.

• To support and manage our Chef Trainers to ensure that programme delivery is carried out in the most effective and efficient way.

• Coordinate and oversee all programme activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.

• To ensure that service level agreements are agreed with schools and that our delivery matches the agreements.

• To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Chief Innovation Officer, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery. 

• At all times to ensure that our school interventions are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.

• Work closely with the Chef Trainers to ensure our advice to, and work in, schools is legally compliant.

• Support the Chef Trainers in monitoring legal safety compliance in schools, promptly flagging major concerns to the Chief Innovation Officer and where appropriate, the key school contact.

• Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme. 

• To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.

• Work with the Research Supervisor to support preparing reports on the impact of the School by School programmes, including statistical data, trends, and success stories.

The job of the Charity Shop Manager is:

· To be the main point of contact for MADM’s Charity Shop.

· Responsible to Charity Manager

The Engagement and Development Officer will manage the website, social media, and email campaigns while supporting the wider team with creative design and fundraising communications. You'll oversee marketing workflows, analyse performance, and create engaging content in line with our brand and mission. We're seeking a proactive and organised individual with proven experience in fundraising, marketing operations, or digital marketing. You'll be confident using tools like WordPress, MailChimp, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Canva, with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude. Previous experience in the charity sector in a similar role is essential.

Please note that at Waterwise we work a Four Day Week, under voluntary agreements which all staff members sign. This means that you will be contracted and paid as full-time but you will sign a voluntary agreement stating that you commit to employing efficiency tools both individual and team-wide to deliver and be paid for 5 days work within four normal 9 to 5 days - the office is closed on Fridays. Training will be provided and you will be expected to continue to refresh your training and to keep up use of the efficiency tools. Annual leave is also pro rata’d. We can answer any questions you may have about this at the interview/s. On a 20 hours a week contract, you would be spending 16 hours a week at work including the equivalent of 2 one hour lunch breaks, and this can be worked in a flexible pattern, such as two full days or more, shorter days.

Partnerships and Income Manager Role Description

The Partnerships and Income Manager role involves engaging a range of stakeholders to help generate greater impact and income for Waterwise. The Partnerships and Income Manager will be responsible for researching and identifying potential new business opportunities; conducting outreach to new and existing stakeholders to encourage collaboration; building and maintaining relationships with Waterwise partners, sponsors and members; and assisting with developing winning proposals for funding, in order to deepen the impact we make with individuals, communities and businesses across the UK. The Partnerships and Income Manager will lead on delivery against income targets for our services and events. 

Key responsibilities in the role include: 

• Generating income for Waterwise by retaining existing partners, recruiting new partners, selling sponsorship opportunities, and increasing engagement and investment in Waterwise membership and services

• Researching and identifying new business development leads in line with Waterwise’s commercial strategy

• Building and maintaining an active pipeline of commercial and partnership opportunities to drive income 

• Conducting market and competitor research and engagement to ensure we have a clear understanding of customer needs and align our services to meet those needs

• Conducting lead generation and lead nurturing activities, including representing Waterwise at events and conferences, reaching out to potential new partners by email, phone or social media, and conducting introductory meetings with potential sponsors, members and partners

• Acting as account manager for Waterwise partners, (working alongside the Membership and Marketing Manager who manages member relationships), leading on administration such as ensuring Salesforce CRM is up-to-date, conducting Waterwise’s ethical screening process for potential partners, managing partnership agreements and payments

• Working with the Memberships and Marketing Manager to design and implement communications to demonstrate how partnering with Waterwise offers value for money and delivers against ESG commitments

• Working on grant funding proposals and project bids

• Working with the wider team to assist in the development of content for our newsletter, social media, blogs, trade media and press

• Assisting the team with organising events (e.g. Waterwise annual conference)

• Attending conferences, seminars and meetings to represent Waterwise

As Senior Grants Manager, Environment and Communities, you will identify, assess, and manage grants that contribute to these evolving areas of interest. 

A particular focus of the role will be developing strategic grants and partnerships that contribute to Environmental Sustainability.  This is a developing area of interest, supporting activity that restores the natural environment and enabling practices such as nature friendly farming and community growing.  Current grantees include the Sustainable Food Trust, the Wildlife Trust, and local farmer clusters.  

The Foundation has recently launched a ‘Green Fund’ pilot, supporting Buckinghamshire grantees to deliver progress in environmental sustainability.  The role will lead on the delivery of this programme.

As well as developing relationships with external stakeholders you will also closely collaborate with colleagues, making connections between grants and activities at Waddesdon Manor.  In particular, working closely with the Rothschild Foundation’s Sustainability and Conservation Department and the Education & Learning Department.

The role will also support the development and assessment of grants to the Rothschild Foundation’s Community Fund which is open to not for profit organisations in Buckinghamshire who support local communities, with a particular focus on disadvantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic development of our Environment programme, including current explorations in community growing, nature friendly farming and nature restoration.
• Leading on the delivery of a ‘Green Fund’ pilot, supporting grantees and funded activities.  This will include working closely with the Evaluation and Impact Manager and Operations Manager to review the programme and make recommendations for future delivery to Grants Committee
• Maintaining an overview of the portfolio of ‘Environment’ grants, sharing learning and identifying connections across grantees
• Keeping up to date on sector development, identify funding gaps, and emerging opportunities.
• Identifying and supporting potential applicants, conducting visits, guiding proposal development, and ensuring due diligence standards are met
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with grantees, conducting six-monthly catch up conversations, visiting funded activity and acting as a ‘critical friend’
• Supporting the delivery of our Communities funding, including assessment of applications to the Community Fund and occasional Trustee related community grants
• Producing regular updates for Trustees, including project updates and data insights, and contribute to creative ways of sharing the impact of our funding

Are you passionate about putting an end to homelessness across Oxfordshire?

The Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance (the Alliance) is a group of organisations (Local government, A2 Dominion, Aspire, Connection Support, Elmore, Homeless Oxfordshire and St Mungo’s) that came together in 2022 to deliver single homelessness services across the county under one contract.

Services delivered by the Alliance include the city and county outreach services for people experiencing rough sleeping, supported accommodation such as the hostel O’Hanlon House, shared dispersed supported accommodation, and homelessness prevention services.

The Alliance is commissioned through a pooled annual budget of c£3.8m which all District Councils in Oxfordshire, the City Council, the County Council, and the Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire Integrated Care Services, contribute towards. Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City are the lead commissioners of the Alliance. 

As part of the initiative, the Alliance will deliver an ambitious housing led change programme which is seeing services remodelled to support and enable people to live in their own homes and fulfil their aspirations. 

This role is hosted by Connection Support which is part of the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance. The role will be guided by the work plan of both the alliance chair and the alliance commissioners.

The impact you will have

As the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in making the alliance and the services it delivers a success. You will provide strategic and operational oversight and day to day leadership and management.

You will strive to improve the services that are delivered by working closely with the Alliance Leadership and Management Team, partners, commissioners, and organisations working to put an end to homelessness. Fostering and enabling a culture of continuous improvement will be at the heart of your work. 

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 30hrs to 37.5hrs per week

Salary: £42,322 - £47,949 per annum, dependent on experience. Please note that the salary displayed is the full time equivalent and will be prorated for less than 37.5 hours.

The Role 

As Shop Manager at our new shop in Sheffield, initially, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in setting up our new shop, recruiting volunteers, and making plans to ensure the shop is ready to open. You will then ensure the smooth running of the shop long-term. 

You will lead a team of volunteers to raise funds to invest in achieving the charity’s goal to save lives in Yorkshire. Reporting to the Retail Area Manager, you will portray the charity as a professional, credible brand which acts with integrity and provide excellent customer service, ensuring volunteers, donors and customers know how their contribution is helping the people of Yorkshire.  

Specifically, you will: 

• Manage and be accountable for implementing and complying with agreed shop operating policy and standards including Health and Safety and Trading Standards. 

• Be responsible for ensuring the shop is presented to the highest standards with attractive visual merchandising and window displays. 

• Be responsible for attracting and recruiting a team of new volunteers, ensuring they are well trained and take every effort to create a welcoming and happy environment. 

• Be responsible for ongoing volunteer training and engagement, ensuring the volunteer management system is actively kept up to date.

• Line manage the Deputy Shop Manager, working together to ensure there is management cover and sufficient volunteers to operate all trading hours. 

• Ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received). 

• Be responsible for ensuring accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes. 

• Prepare and complete all shop administration including cash handling and banking functions to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures. 

• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To ideally be educated to A-level or equivalent.

• To have experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development. 

• To have previous retail experience in the charity sector or commercial sector is desirable. 

• To have experience of meeting and exceeding targets within a retail environment. 

• To be highly organised with good time management skills. 

• To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As a key member of the programmes team, the post holder will be responsible for planning and implementing a portfolio of impactful programmes across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe using sport as a development tool for social change.

They will be responsible for managing a diverse sport for development portfolio, providing high level programme support, financial oversight, monitoring and evaluation technical expertise and capacity building support to our global implementing partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop and manage a caseload of grants, including institutional and internal grants. This includes assessing competencies of organisations and developing organisational plans with grantees
• To support the ongoing development of grantees through capacity building, and providing networking opportunities
• To support the Sport for Good Development Team in their applications to institutional funders, trusts and foundations, providing input and advice as requested
• To ensure grant-management requirements for Sport for Good and external funding are met successfully
• To work closely with grantees responsibly to source narratives of individual and community transformation to support development of donor relationships and communication 
• To provide good customer care to grantees, maintaining regular but appropriate contact and safeguarding their interests
• To undertake monitoring trips, conducting site assessments to international and UK based projects
• To source new, innovative projects in line with Sport for Good’s funding criteria

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience from working in a charity or foundation with focus on international development
• Experience of submitting successful funding proposals to institutional donors and trusts and foundations
• Strong track record of successful management of all reporting requirements associated with grants received from third parties
• Good project management skills, with experience delivering or grant-managing projects internationally; able to work on multiple tasks and to prioritise these to meet deadlines
• Affinity to sport, understanding of sport as a power for development 
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
• Basic budgeting and financial management experience, able to understand the link between finance and operations
