St Hilda’s East has a 135-year history of combating deprivation and social exclusion in East London. We welcome people of all ages to our large community centre in Shoreditch where we offer a wide range of activities for local people which provide opportunities to enhance wellbeing, learn new skills and meet people of diverse backgrounds. We also run a day centre in Shadwell, with a focus on supporting elders from the Bangladeshi and other communities. 

This is an exciting time to join the team, as we commemorate the Charity's 135th anniversary with a series of fundraising activities, campaigns and events. We are in a unique position in that we have strong, continuing links with our founders, the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies' College together with the school’s parents, and pupils.

As Fundraising Lead (Corporates & Individuals) you will play a vital role in securing support from corporates, local businesses and individuals to help our charity to continue to thrive for a further 135 years!

The role can be worked flexibly over 22.5 hours per week with opportunities to work from home as well as our friendly offices in Shoreditch, London. 25 days holiday and bank holidays (pro rata) plus a pension scheme.

• Identifying new funding opportunities through horizon scanning and prospect research

As a Community Fundraising Manager you will:

• be responsible for national community fundraising, digital community fundraising and fundraising events including third party and DIY challenge events programmes.
• guidance the team to develop and deliver multi-channel marketing plans and stewardship journeys, to drive income, collaboration and high levels of engagement around the events and community portfolio to help us achieve a step change in income.
• lead, motivate, support, develop, train and inspire the Community and Events teams,
• Lead the operational management and delivery of Community Fundraising and Fundraising Events, with a focus on refining and developing fundraising and events offering

In order to be successful, you must have experienced :

• Strong experience in the field of Event management, Community Fundraising or Digital Fundraising
•  Experience of strategy development, planning and Implementation
• Experience of utilizing in depth data analysis and segmentation for marketing purposes
• Previous experience and knowledge of CRM systems
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and passionately
• Ability to develop excellent working relationships with senior management, staff and volunteers
• Driving license and access to a car

The Role

The fundraising team at Kidney Care UK have been incredibly successful from only being established 8 years ago, with the last 2.5 years being exponential in growth, they now have ambitious plans to treble their income in three years to sustain the growth and to continue to support kidney patients who need help and support.

This role will oversee and develop the charity's community fundraising and trade revenues, with a target of £266,000 for 2024. While fostering significant engagement with community supporters and fundraisers, you will lead a dedicated team of two within the Community and Trade team. You will work closely with the incredibly passionate and ambitious Director Of Fundraising, who will support you through the programmes.

Your responsibilities include raising awareness of community fundraising program and creating a 'best-in-class' stewardship program to cultivate new and existing relationships with supporters, volunteer groups, organizations, and partners to maximize income and elevate the charity's profile.

Responsibilities:

Community fundraising

* Design and implement a stewardship programme that converts interest into support and maximises fundraised income whilst developing lasting relationships.
* Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
* Grow non-monetary donations as part of the community fundraising portfolio of events.
* Support the Head of Fundraising in designing new and developing existing community fundraising opportunities.
* Market and promote the calendar of community events to existing and potential supporters and wider to grow levels of engagement and participation.
* Support the Head of Fundraising to design and develop the community events and engagement fundraising calendar to potentially include bespoke, charity place, promoted and reactive events.
* Lead on the creation and implementation of a digital community fundraising programme, focusing of mass participation, low barrier to entry activities.
* Lead on the management and innovation of our trade fundraising income.

Database and process management

* Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure all recording, banking and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity (finance, data and marketing and communications) and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
* Record all community and trade income and thank community donors and supporters as per the agreed process.
* Work with the Head of Fundraising to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.

Community Fundraising Manager

The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and passionate fundraiser, dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help make the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability to join our team as Area Fundraising Manger covering Northern Ireland.

Covering the Northern Ireland the Area Fundraising Manger will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team. 

Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. The role is home based. There will be travel around the areas that the role covers. 

This position is a permanent, full-time role to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The nature of community fundraising is that there will be evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.

• Maintain CRM systems to be up to date, and utilize systems to manage donor information and track fundraising metrics. 

• Ensure that the Institute complies with laws, regulations and best practice relating to fundraising including, but not limited to, those specified by the Fundraising Regulator in its Code of Conduct and GDPR. 

Essential Qualifications and Experience: 

• Proven experience in fundraising preferably within the non-profit sector. 

• Interest and enthusiasm for the impact investing sector. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and presentations. 

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Job Title: Trust Fundraising Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

Location: Anywhere in the UK, we are a remote-first organisation

About the Role

• You will develop, manage and grow an enthusiastic and motivated team of challenge event participants, pioneer our involvement in the collaborative London Walk event, lead on our  Special Events programme, and identify new opportunities and networks for our Community Fundraising remit.
• You will manage the Events Assistant, with a particular focus on their work on our annual Pilgrimage event.
• You will have a strong track record in Events and Community Fundraising, with a solutions-focussed mindset.
• You will have experience in translating sector best practice into action, and to be excited at the prospect of innovating and pursuing new Events and Community Fundraising opportunities for the organisation.

An exciting position has arisen for an initiative-taking, enthusiastic and well-organised individual to join the Charity team at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. (Working title King George & Queens Hospital Charity)

This is a dual responsibility role, and the postholder will be at the heart of all charitable activities as part of the fundraising team. We are seeking excellent secretarial skills to assist the Head of Fundraising with essential governance paperwork, and a keen aptitude for database interrogation, as well as leading with the day to day administration for the charity team. The role will also allow your creativity to shine through, as we expect everyone in the team to work together on creating events and campaigns.

The postholder will be confident to line manage other team members, and highlight charity activity to the executive board via written committee papers, and face to face/Teams meetings. 
We are searching for an effective communicator able to converse at all levels across the organisation, and confident to attend both internal and community meetings to encourage charitable giving.

This is a pivotal role in our charity. You will have the responsibility for a range of financial income platforms which need to be accurately transcribed to the administrator, and the charity accountant

The Community Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.

The Regional Fundraising Officer role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover the Kent and Sussex region.

You will report to the Community Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Regional Fundraising to drive the continued growth of the charity’s community fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, to cover a period of maternity leave.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Strategy, finance, and reporting

· Responsibility for 3 income streams within the Kent and Sussex region including corporate, community groups and Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising.

· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with partnerships in your region with a value of up to £100,000.

· Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, following fundraising legislation and good practice.

· Recruit new fundraising supporters in line with strategy.

· Support the Community Fundraising Manager (CFM) and Head of Regional Fundraising (HORF) in developing the Community Fundraising strategy for ARUK to increase income within this stream.

· Support and extend volunteer networks within the geographical area in line with strategy.

· To ensure that fundraising activity is implemented and managed locally to deliver budgets, targets and income in line with strategy. To achieve this by supporting and facilitating the development of groups and volunteers across the geographical area.

· Work across a diverse geographical area and within a geographically dispersed team, whilst managing own workload cost-effectively and proactively.

Supporter Management

· Provide excellent customer service to community fundraising supporters (including maintaining a polite, enthusiastic manner with prompt responses to enquiries), to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.

· Provide high-quality account management to volunteer groups in geographical area.

· Effective management of volunteer relationships within geographical area.

· Support, motivate and develop local fundraising volunteers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of ARUK to enable them to represent the charity’s work effectively.

· In liaison with the Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, provide high-quality account management to corporate supporters within the specified geographical area and/or of relevant value.

· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.

· Ensure volunteers and fundraisers have all necessary materials for fundraising initiatives.

Increasing Community Support within geographical area

· Use own initiative to extend volunteer networks, develop new groups and supporters, and respond to fundraising opportunities within the geographical area, in line with strategy.

· Run volunteer events with both a recruitment and cultivation function, liaising closely with the Stewardship and Events team to ensure a seamless supporter journey, and with the Press team to include media volunteers.

· Manage the recruitment process of new ARUK volunteers in the geographical area, providing relevant support and training.

· Liaise with local community organisations (e.g., golf clubs, educational institutions etc.) – both previous and new potential supporters – to extend income and activity in line with the strategy.

· Initiate and roll out community fundraising events in the geographical area with evidence of effective ROI and achievement of strategic goals.

· Provide face-to-face talks and presentations to community organisations for recruitment/ cultivation purposes.

· Arrange appropriate volunteer representation at events in the community (for example, for cheque collections and talks), spreading the charity’s reach cost-effectively.

· Identify, research and target prospective community organisations, in liaison with CFM.

· Identify, research and target prospective local corporates in liaison with CFM / HORF and ARUK’s Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, in line with both community and corporate strategies.

· Accurately track and record contact with both community and corporate prospects for planning and reporting purposes.

Monitoring and Reporting

· Ensure that your activity is monitored and evaluated, clearly communicating progress to your Community Fundraising Manager.

· Manage relevant information on the charity’s database, keeping detailed, up-to-date records of activity and income.

What we are looking for:

· Experience in partnership fundraising and/or relationship-building.

· Experience in public speaking, such as giving presentations and talking at events.

· Knowledge of recruiting key volunteers and fundraising supporters.

· Experience and a keen interest in building long-term relationships with supporters.

· Proven ability to provide excellent stewardship.

· An ability to manage a busy and varied workload.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Excellent organisational skills.

· Full driver’s license with access to own vehicle. 

· Flexibility to work some unsocial hours and willingness to travel independently.

· Live within Kent and Sussex region.

Ways of working: As part of our Remote ways of working you will be home based. You will only need to attend the office for specific requirements of the role and the business needs.

Roles that are classed as part of the Remote ways of working are able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.
