Join Trauma Foundation South West, a small, welcoming charity providing long-term psychotherapy to traumatised refugees and professional training and supervision to those supporting traumatised people across the South West and nationally.

We are looking for a Communications and Administration Officer (2 days/ 14 hours per week) to play a key role in strengthening our digital presence, supporting our training, supervision and therapy services, and keeping our operations running smoothly.

In this role, you will:

• Create and schedule social media content, newsletters, and website updates that reflect our values and engage supporters.

• Assist with simple design work for training materials, presentations, and our annual Impact Report.

• Provide essential administrative support for our training, supervision, and therapy programmes, including responding to enquiries, coordinating small events, and maintaining accurate records.

• Support onboarding of new staff and maintain key data to help us deliver safe, effective services.

About the role

This role is accountable for playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of safe, high-quality safeguarding processes, procedures, reporting systems across Galop. It is also entrusted with reporting to the board, promoting a culture of safeguarding and learning from safeguarding incidents.

This is a high-impact and strategically significant position, ensuring the development and enhancement of safeguarding frameworks.

The post-holder will act as the organisation’s Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, with the Director of Services continuing to hold the Designated Safeguarding Lead role. The post-holder will also work closely with Heads of Service, service managers, senior leadership, trustees, and teams across the organisation to foster a culture in which safeguarding is deeply embedded and consistently prioritised.

The Opportunity

We are expanding our team and so we are looking for a Research and Impact Manager. This hands-on role would suit an insightful, evidence driven researcher and monitoring and evaluation specialist and who is a strong partnership worker. Responsibilities

Working closely with the Warm Welcome Operations Director and wider team your primary responsibility will be to lead on research and impact evaluation to ensure that our strategic approach is driven by evidence. You would take ownership of specific tasks as required, including;

Research:

• Developing a research strategy for the Warm Welcome campaign to help to ensure we can meet our overall campaign strategy.

• Leading on the co-design of research projects to meet the needs of the Warm Welcome campaign and our partners. 

• Developing a research and insights hub for the Warm Welcome team where they can easily access the latest statistics on relevant topics such as poverty and loneliness.

• Supporting any individuals or organisations undertaking research on behalf of the Warm Welcome campaign to ensure it is of a high quality and rigorous standard.

Job Profile

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead on the recruitment, retention, and value growth of Afghanaid’s supporter base by directing and implementing communications, fundraising and engagement strategies, aligned with broader organisation goals. You will lead on communications for Afghanaid, overseeing print, digital, and paid marketing activities and the growth of communications channels. You will execute Afghanaid’s organisational brand strategy which ensures the integrity of the brand and maximises awareness. You will manage all public relations including crisis communications, as well as the growth of strategic media placements and high profile relationships. You will drive the success of organisational impact storytelling and communications for both internal and external stakeholders. As a member of the executive department, you will collaborate and synergise with other departments to promote organisational success.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

You will be an experienced and dynamic communicator with significant demonstrable experience in fundraising and/or communications at a senior level, coupled with an awareness and up to date knowledge and experience of the tools that would maximise the success of our communications and fundraising activities. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. The Role

As second-in-command to the Chief Finance Officer, the Financial Controller will oversee the collection, consolidation and analysis of financial data across UKROEd and The Road Safety Trust. This is a broad and hands-on leadership role, central to maintaining strong financial governance, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, and safeguarding organisational assets.

You will lead the financial control environment, oversee key financial processes including payroll, procurement, budgeting and reporting, and drive continuous improvement in how financial information is produced, interpreted and used. As a trusted partner to senior leaders and trustees, you will support informed decision-making by providing accurate, timely and high-quality financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee financial operations, controls and compliance across both organisations
