This important role will represent FareShare Sussex & Surrey engaging with corporate partners and key stakeholders such as council leaders, politicians and dignitaries across the region. 

Using your experience in engagement and relationship management you will work to consolidate existing partnerships and seek new opportunities across Sussex & Surrey, working to build strong relationships locally and encourage partnership, donations, sponsorships and corporate volunteering. The development team has an ambitious target of £1 million to raise, through various streams including corporate partnerships, individual giving, trust applications and other fundraising activities each year. The role will manage the corporate income stream and requires collaboration with all income generation to ensure effective management and stewardship of all partners.

You will develop an exciting donor journey which engages and encourages support from businesses and key stakeholders. Working with high-value supporters to maintain a good relationship with the organisation and fostering new partnerships. 

You will also work alongside our food Supply Manager to help provide a holistic partnership with our suppliers, encouraging them to support our work across the ESG / CSR spectrum.

Duties and responsibilities  

Business Development and Relationship Management 

• Act as main point of contact for existing corporate partners and stakeholders

• Build strong relationships through a stewardship programme to engage with partners in a variety of ways on a regular basis

• To provide the highest quality supporter care, working in partnership with the business to engage with its staff, maximising fundraising and retain support for the long term

• Support with engaging FareShare national partners where required

New Business

• Work closely with the Development Team to identify new business opportunities (including charity of the year partnerships) and to develop new relationships with stakeholders across Sussex and Surrey

• To research and approach companies to maximise fundraising opportunities,Develop and promote sponsorship opportunities and corporate partnership offerings

• Create engaging proposition presentations to approach new businesses engaging with them and s other such stakeholders regularly, hosting visits and attending meetings where necessary

Reporting and Monitoring

• Provide regular reporting for trustees and the Development Team

• To monitor and evaluate all aspects of the partnership, reporting on income and engagement. 

• Regular indepth bespoke reporting for our funding partner

• Work with the Head of Development on creating forecasts and budgets

• Ensuring records are maintained through our CRM system, Donorfy

Who are you?

You should be accomplished in Sage 50 Accounts and have considerable experience working in a finance function and in financial administration.

Some experience of working with Salesforce or an equivalent CRM database and an accountancy qualification or studying towards a professional qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) or AAT qualified. Experience of working in the Voluntary Sector, paid or unpaid would be great.

You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills (a natural ability to clearly communicate financial information to those with a non-finance background).  Reprieve works with the most disenfranchised people in society, as it is in their cases that human rights are most swiftly jettisoned and the rule of law is cast aside.  About the Role

The Africa Death Penalty Team Project Manager is responsible for coordinating Reprieve’s litigation and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, the team works on death penalty casework and abolition advocacy in Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. Our casework includes work on individual cases on behalf of people facing a death sentence; large-scale projects, such as the Kenya resentencing project, wherein we support stakeholders to ensure 5,000+ people are able to access a chance at reducing their sentence from death via a new sentence hearing; and  long-term regional projects, such as our strategic litigation before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which challenges the mandatory death penalty, torture, and other associated violations of the African Charter.

Regional context

 There is a trend toward the abolition of the death penalty in Africa. In recent years, countries across the continent have taken the decision to limit the application of the death penalty or to abolish it altogether. This has been seen as a turning away from old laws and systems that were imposed by former colonial governments, which obstructed alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and were designed to remove discretion from the local judiciary. African lawyers and judges are now at the forefront of a wave of progressive jurisprudence on issues related to the death penalty including methods of executions, torture, sentencing practice, conditions of confinement, and intersections of gender, disability, and socioeconomic status with criminal justice. This jurisprudence has become a model for the international movement to limit the death penalty, and is being held up as best practice in jurisdictions around the world.

Contract and location

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model with staff working part of the week from home and part of the week from the office. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel.

Duties and key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the organisation's cash flow to ensure there are sufficient currency funds to meet operational needs.

• Release all payments from UK bank accounts, including UK payroll. 

Financial Controls 

• Implement appropriate internal controls, policies, and procedures to protect against fraud and misappropriation.

• Oversee the payroll functions, ensuring adequate internal controls and approvals are in place and adhered to, and all statutory requirements are met. 

• Ensure regular reconciliations are made between the accounting system and the CRM.

Risk Management 

• Risk management – manage strategic and operational financial risks working with the Head of Internal Audit & Compliance.

About the opportunity
Corporate partnerships are critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year) of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships. Part of our growth strategy is looking at building stronger relationships with corporate partners, having established a strong multi-year relationship for the first time this year worth £500k annually. We have a great ability to measure and quantify its impact, which we are looking to better communicate and leverage with current and potential corporate partners.

We’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on our corporate partnership activities and initiatives, including growing income from corporate partners as well as increasing the number of corporate volunteer tutor applications we receive from them. Working within our Philanthropy Team, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of two Corporate Partnership Coordinators, ensuring that, as a team, you meet your corporate income and volunteer application targets. Your focus will be on deepening and leveraging relationships with our existing partners, alongside engaging new organisations with our mission and vision.

An exciting Café Manager position has opened at our Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre, which houses a fully integrated Cancer Rehabilitation Centre, Shop, Donation Centre, Office, and our first-ever Café, named Café Hornbeam. 

We are looking for an experienced Café Manager who will provide excellent customer service, prepare delicious food, and create a warm and welcoming space, inspiring their Deputy Café Manager and team of employees and volunteers to do the same. This role will be accountable for the overall management of the Café, including process and policy adherence and development, and Food Safety.

• Uphold and manage café operating procedures and policies, including Food Safety, Allergens, Health and Safety and Trading Standards.

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) tackles serious organised crime across the North West region. The NWROCU carries out investigations into serious and organised crime on behalf of police forces in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and North Wales. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner as a fully qualified accountant to provide pro-active professionally qualified support and guidance to budget holders for the financial management of the ROCU. Job Description

As a Senior Finance Business Partner you will provide pro-active professionally qualified support and guidance to budget holders for the financial management of the ROCU. Assist the Head of Enabling Services in the provision of a professional financial planning, management and accounting service, maintaining the integrity of NWROCU's financial records, and developing new systems and processes to comply with legislation, with a clear focus on ensuring best use of resources based on sound and demonstrable financial reasoning.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with budget holders and senior managers, ensuring that needs of the budget holder are fully satisfied, and SLA's adhered to.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting upon the financial position of units to relevant stakeholders using appropriate means of communication and methods of financial analysis to ensure an effective and efficient budget management service is provided. This will include attendance at key SLT/Command Team meetings as the finance expert.

About the role

This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.

Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important.  The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

• To keep up-to-date with current developments affecting victims and survivors of sexual violence and ensure that CARA responds appropriately to these developments.
• To be the chief spokeswoman for CARA, responding to media and other enquiries as appropriate and playing a pro-active role in bringing relevant issues to the attention of the public, issuing press releases and initiating debate, as appropriate.
• Build, support and oversee strong relationships with individuals and organisations across the voluntary, public and private sectors, and in local and national government.
• To contribute to Rape Crisis England and Wales campaigns and other campaigns, as appropriate.
• To remain informed of national and regional Rape Crisis perspectives, drawing on Rape Crisis England and Wales expertise and resources as appropriate.

Organisational management

·Ensure policies and processes that support good communication, staff health and well-being, and safe and effective delivery of work are in place and adhered to throughout the organisation.

·Take overall responsibility for the staff team, its management and performance.

·Capture the organisation’s work through robust monitoring and evaluation, and ensure CARA’s impact and any learning is shared throughout the team and with the Board, survivors, funders and other partners as appropriate.

About Synergy Essex

CARA is part of Synergy Essex – the Essex Rape and Sexual Abuse Partnership. We work with SERICC Rape and Sexual Abuse Specialist Service and Southend-on-Sea Rape Crisis (SOS Rape Crisis) to deliver the contract for the Office for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for Essex for services for victims and survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse across Essex, Southend and Thurrock. Synergy Essex also shares a number of other projects, funded by the Ministry of Justice, Essex County Council and the National Lottery Community Fund.

About this role

The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. About the opportunity

Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future.  The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Focussing predominantly on eliciting funding from trusts and foundations, and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Fundraising Manager will ensure the effective management of existing funder relations and take responsibility for ensuring Action Tutoring meets its reporting obligations. · Act as a system manager for fundraising platforms, databases and tools including Just Giving and the Giving Block, with support from Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Oversee the development of the fundraising area of the website and fundraising pack to attract new funders and fundraisers to the charity, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Manage the Fundraising Coordinators, ensuring they are growing and developing, and that work load is shared fairly. 
 

· Represent Action Tutoring at relevant meetings and events.
 

· Alongside your team, prepare applications for corporate funding opportunities identified by the Corporate Partnerships Team.
 

· Ensure accurate record-keeping of corporate partnerships and relationships on Salesforce and any other relevant systems.
 

· Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

Person specification

This role requires an ambitious, passionate and determined individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Alongside your team you will be responsible for writing and submitting grant applications and reports, so an excellent understanding of the English language and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success within this position. Working to deadlines and line-managing three Fundraising Coordinators, exceptional time-management, prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. With a focus on developing our individual giving strategies, we’re looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills. 
 

Qualifications criteria:

· A*-C in maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent experience).
 

· Right to work in the UK.
 

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others: 
 

· At least two years experience in fundraising (preferably within trusts and foundations fundraising).
 

· Proven track record in securing and stewarding 5+ figure partnerships.
 

· Outstanding written and verbal communicator with significant experience writing and submitting grant applications and reports.
 

You will be likely be more successful in this role if you have:
 

· You have a proven track record of securing and stewarding grants of 5+ figure funding.
 

· You have a passion for educational inequality/working within the Third Sector.
 

· Line management experience.
 

· Experience in event and campaign fundraising.
 

· Experience working within a charity with a turnover of £3M or more.

About the Role

You will lead 2 Business Development Managers directly to deliver a 6-figure team new business target across the country. You will also support the upskilling and support of our Area Fundraising Managers in their local new business endeavours. You will ensure a solid strategy, creative prospecting plan and pipeline management to achieve our agreed targets as well as have your own personal pipeline. You will also support the team in liaising with our national Corporate Partnership team, Marketing teams and more to ensure the team have everything they need to identify, prospect, win and report on new business.
