About the Role

Join us as an Outreach Worker and play a frontline role in supporting adults experiencing homelessness in Middlesbrough. You’ll be out in the community—often during early‑morning outreach—building trust with people sleeping rough, meeting them on their terms, and connecting them with safe accommodation, health support and opportunities that strengthen resilience and wellbeing. Working within a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based model, you’ll help clients overcome barriers and take positive steps toward stability and independence.

In this dynamic, multi‑agency role, you’ll deliver targeted outreach, attend local drop‑ins, and advocate for coordinated, compassionate responses across housing, health, substance‑use and justice services. You’ll bring experience supporting people with complex needs, confidence in managing risk and maintaining accurate records, and a commitment to safeguarding, equality and person‑centred practice.  In this role, you will:

· Engage adults experiencing homelessness through targeted street outreach, including early‑morning shifts.

· Build trust and provide person‑centred support across housing, health, substance use, finances and meaningful activities.

· Create SMART support plans, complete risk assessments and maintain accurate case records in In‑Form.

· Work collaboratively with housing, health, justice and community partners to deliver joined‑up support.

· Advocate for trauma‑informed, strengths‑based services and challenge barriers within local systems.

· Support clients to attend appointments, sustain accommodation and improve wellbeing and resilience.

About You

Bring strong people‑skills and the ability to engage confidently with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental ill health or substance use, using clear communication, SMART support planning, accurate digital record‑keeping and effective multi‑agency working. Using an assets‑based, psychologically informed approach, you’ll create SMART support plans, complete risk and needs assessments, and ensure every young person receives personalised, meaningful support.

Dravet Syndrome UK is looking for a new Head of Fundraising to help them continue to grow and reach their £1 million income target so they're able to expand their impact and help more patients and families living with Dravet Syndrome.

About the role

The Head of Fundraising will lead on high value asks to help further diversify, strengthen and grow DSUK's income base. This role will be both strategic and hands-on. About Depaul UK

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.

What began as a single housing project in North London soon expanded across London, Greater Manchester and the North East of England. Today, Depaul UK provides accommodation, prevention and support services to thousands of marginalised young people across the UK each year.

As our name suggests, the work of Depaul UK has been inspired by St. Vincent de Paul – a man who devoted his life to helping vast numbers of people throughout the 17th century. Do you want to help shape public debate, influence policy and communicate the value of homecare to Parliament and the wider public?

We are looking for a driven, curious, and politically aware External Affairs and Policy Specialist to help us communicate our policy work externally and strengthen the voice of homecare providers. You will turn policy insight, member experience and evidence into clear, persuasive communications for Parliament, the media, stakeholders and members

What you will do

Parliamentary engagement

· Support day to day parliamentary monitoring and identify opportunities to influence debates, questions and policy development

· Draft high-quality briefings, parliamentary questions, and stakeholder communications

- Build and maintain relationships with MPs, Peers, and parliamentary staff

· Support delivery of our parliamentary engagement activity, including events and party conferences

Member communication

· Draft clear, timely and engaging communications for members, including briefings, updates and campaigns

· Work directly with members, including through focus groups, to capture insight, case studies and evidence

· Ensure member voice sits at the centre of our external messaging

· Translate complex policy and political developments into clear, practical and accessible information for members and external audiences 

Wider external affairs

About you

You are bright, motivated and organised, with a strong interest in politics, policy and communications. You enjoy writing, relationship-building and working at pace. You can understand complex issues, ask good questions and turn evidence into clear, compelling messages for different audiences.

You will bring:

·Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex policy issues for different audiences

·Experience in public affairs, policy communications, media, communications or campaigning, or a closely related field

·An understanding of UK parliamentary processes, political engagement and the wider policy environment

· Confidence gathering insight from stakeholders, members or service users, including through meetings, interviews or focus groups

We are seeking a Roaming International Finance Manager to provide short- to medium-term finance cover and additional capacity across a global programme portfolio. This is a hands-on international finance role, supporting Programme Managers and country teams to manage financial risk, strengthen financial controls, and ensure effective delivery of standard financial operating procedures.

The role may also include the induction, training and capacity-building of new International Finance Managers and local finance teams.

The successful candidate will work across a range of country programmes, often in challenging or developing-country contexts, providing support on budgeting, donor reporting, financial planning, monthly close processes, cash management, statutory compliance, audit preparation and partner contract oversight. They will play a key role in ensuring financial systems, reporting and controls are robust, compliant and aligned with operational needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting country financial planning, forecasting and grant/contract budgeting.
• Monitoring grant and contract spend, including cost-to-completion and spend-out plans.
• Identifying and managing programme financial risks.
• Ensuring financial policies and standard operating procedures are implemented across programme locations.
• Overseeing monthly financial close and ledger accuracy.
• Preparing donor, client and country financial statements.
• Managing cash flow, banking arrangements and exchange-rate exposure.
• Supporting statutory, donor and external audits.
• Building the capacity of national finance teams and supporting staff development.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience, with at least five years’ financial management experience, including two years overseas. You will bring strong financial planning, reporting, donor compliance and risk-management skills, together with the flexibility and resilience required to work in varied international contexts. Experience managing and developing small teams is essential.

This role would suit a practical, adaptable and culturally sensitive finance professional who is comfortable working both strategically and operationally, including in environments where living and working conditions may be basic.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for our service users. You will provide immediate support to individuals experiencing crisis situations, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance and access to emergency services where required. Working calmly and professionally, you will respond to out-of-hours enquiries, offer first-contact advice, and treat all service users with dignity, respect, and compassion, even in challenging circumstances.

You will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and smooth running of the building during night shifts, including carrying out regular health and safety checks, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, conducting building patrols, and responding appropriately to emergencies such as fire alarms or other incidents. The role also includes recording maintenance issues, supporting the upkeep of the premises, completing cleaning duties, and ensuring all project records are maintained accurately in line with procedures. Working closely with management and on-call support, you will help ensure policies and procedures are followed while contributing to a safe and positive environment for both service users and colleagues. Additionally, you may support wider organisational objectives through collaboration on service development opportunities and the retention of existing services.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting people with mental health needs in a care or supported housing environment. You will have a good understanding of health and safety within a registered care home setting and be confident in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for service users. The successful candidate will have knowledge of housing management, including maintenance and repairs, and be able to accurately maintain records, follow established policies and procedures, and use computer-based systems to document work and client information.

You will have experience of working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges and a good understanding of the signs, symptoms, and treatments associated with mental illness, enabling you to identify changes in a service user's wellbeing and take appropriate action.
