Our Information and Advice service provides high-quality, rights-based information, advice and advocacy to older people across the borough, helping them navigate issues relating to welfare benefits, social care, housing, and other areas that affect their wellbeing and independence.

As an Information and Advice Adviser, you will manage your own caseload, providing person-centred support through a variety of channels including face-to-face appointments, home visits, telephone, email and digital platforms. You will work closely with colleagues, volunteers, statutory services and community partners to ensure older people receive accurate information, practical assistance and tailored support to access their rights and entitlements. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of older people, helping them overcome challenges, achieve positive outcomes and remain connected to their communities.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to work independently, and committed to delivering excellent customer service. Activities and Events Officer

At Release, we believe that expert advice can change lives — especially for people who are pushed to the margins by poverty, stigma, criminalisation and complex legal problems. We are looking for a debt adviser who wants to do more than provide technical advice: someone who shares our commitment to social justice, dignity and practical support, and who wants to be part of a specialist legal team working alongside people at the point they need help most.

This is not a traditional debt adviser role. It is an opportunity to help shape a newly established debt unit within our legal team, creating a holistic service that responds to the full reality of people’s lives rather than treating debt in isolation. You will work alongside legal advisers and solicitors delivering free welfare benefits, debt and housing advice through our outreach services, with referrals coming directly from colleagues supporting clients with overlapping legal and financial problems. You will also provide training and support to colleagues and host centre staff, helping build confidence and understanding around debt, its impact, and how to identify when someone may need specialist advice. Many of the people we work with are facing crisis, exclusion and multiple barriers to support. In this role, you will help ensure they are met with compassion, specialist advice and joined-up support that gives them a clearer route forward.

The new Debt Adviser wil join Release’s multidisciplinary legal services team. The postholder will provide high-quality, non-judgmental debt advice to people experiencing financial hardship alongside issues such as substance use, homelessness, poor mental health, benefit problems and social exclusion. Ideally, you’ll be qualified to Level 3 Certificate in Money and Debt Advice, the Certificate in Money Advice Practice (CertMAP), or the CMA Award in Generalist Debt Advice. Should you not have these or equivalent certifications, the appointee would be required and supported to achieve a certification within an agreed timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialist debt advice through direct referrals for our legal team who support clients in trusted community and treatment settings.

• Complete financial assessments, income and expenditure work, debt screening, priority-debt triage and casework using clear, accessible and trauma-informed approaches.
• Advise on appropriate debt options, including Breathing Space, Debt Relief Orders, negotiated write-offs, informal and formal repayment arrangements, and referrals where another provider is better placed to help.
• Work closely with legal advisers, drug and alcohol services, keyworkers, peer advocates, volunteers and partner organisations to support warm referrals and coordinated care.
• Record casework accurately on AdvicePro and contribute to monitoring, evaluation, quality assurance, client feedback and learning from the debt advice project.

Essential Requirements:

• At least 12 months’ experience delivering debt advice in a community, advice, legal or outreach setting.
• Strong understanding of UK debt solutions, priority debts, social security, housing-related debt and the impact of financial hardship on people in vulnerable circumstances.
• Ability to provide clear, fair and not misleading advice, based on a full assessment of the client’s financial and personal circumstances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write accurate case notes, letters and reports in plain English

Job responsibilities

● Support with the planning and delivery of an innovative, cohesive and progressive programme of delivery with a proactive approach  for Travellers and Staying Connected (focusing on personal and social development skills), and budgeting to ensure smooth and effective delivery of the programme.

● Recruit, engage and support young people aged to participate in the programmes.

We are looking for a dynamic, technically skilled Head of Evaluation to play a senior role in shaping and delivering Youth Futures’ evidence strategy.

You will lead a team of Evidence and Evaluation Managers and oversee a portfolio of complex evaluations, helping us generate credible, useful evidence about what works to support marginalised young people into good work.

• Reporting to the Deputy Director of Evidence and Evaluation, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of a portfolio of complex impact evaluations.

• You will have a sound understanding of youth employment and/or skills and design evidence-generating projects in a complex field that includes partners from national and devolved government, the third sector and employers.

• You will manage a team of Evaluation Managers, supporting their development while delivering projects that inform Youth Futures’ strategic goals.

Thanks to a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Avon Wildlife Trust has secured a new climate-resilient, nature recovery site: Ebdon Farm. As Site Manager, you will be at the heart of this exciting project, overseeing habitat restoration and the creation of a 14.5-hectare wetland.  

Brief description of role:

As the new Ebdon Farm Site Manager, you will play a critical role in the development of the Ebdon Farm Nature Reserve.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Site Manager capable of delivering our most ambitious project yet. You will oversee the delivery of a 14.5ha wetland, along with other terrestrial habitats. You will be experienced in land management for conservation and have a proven track record of overseeing contractors delivering large-scale habitat creation.

Working alongside the new Ebdon Farm Engagement Manager, you will deliver site tours, a variety of events and a volunteer programme. Using your excellent communication skills and knowledge of nature, land management and climate change, you will inspire and inform your audiences. Using Ebdon Farm to increase understanding of local climate threats and the role climate-adapted sites like Ebdon Farm can play in helping us adapt.

The Ebdon Farm project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to secure the site for wildlife and people together.

About Migrateful

Migrateful is an award-winning charity supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrants on their journey to integration and employment.

Our cookery classes enable our chefs to share their cultures and cuisines, develop skills and confidence, and create meaningful connections with the wider community.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised, practical and proactive candidate to take day-to-day operational ownership of the Migrateful Cookery School in Farringdon and coordinate the effective operation of our network of venues across London.

A key focus will be introducing a Venue Champion model, where designated facilitators undertake agreed routine checks and practical tasks at external venues. With support from the Operations Support Officer, you will establish and coordinate this approach, while retaining overall oversight of venue standards and stepping in when additional intervention is needed.

You will also coordinate the operational onboarding of new venues and support the planned refurbishment of the Cookery School.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining venue operations, coordination, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cookery School Operations

Take day-to-day operational ownership of the Migrateful Cookery School.

• Ensure the space, equipment, ingredients, recipes and resources are ready for classes and ad hoc events.

• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, cleaning and facilities requirements, working with building management, contractors and cleaning providers.

• Maintain effective systems for stock, storage, equipment, consumables and procurement.

• Identify and resolve operational issues to ensure the space works effectively for chefs, facilitators, volunteers and staff.

• Coordinate the planned Cookery School refurbishment, working with contractors, suppliers and colleagues to minimise disruption and ensure the space is ready for reopening.

2. External Venue Coordination

Maintain operational oversight of Migrateful's external London venues.

• Maintain venue-specific equipment, kit and operational requirements, with planned schedules for checks, maintenance and resets.

• Monitor venue readiness, facilitator feedback and outstanding issues and coordinate appropriate action.

• Maintain effective relationships with venue contacts and undertake periodic quality assurance visits where required.

3. Venue Champion Coordination

Venue Champions undertake agreed routine practical tasks, while the Venues Coordinator retains overall oversight of venue standards and the systems supporting them.

• Coordinate a network of Venue Champions who provide routine practical support at external venues.

• With support from the Operations Support Officer, recruit and train Venue Champions from Migrateful's facilitator pool and provide clear guidance for the role.

• Establish equipment lists, checklists and schedules for venue checks, kit cleaning and resets.

• Monitor completion of agreed tasks and coordinate follow-up, maintenance or equipment replacement where required.

4. New Venue Onboarding

• Coordinate the operational setup of new London venues when required.

• Assess new venues and establish equipment, storage, logistics, food safety and operational requirements.

• Coordinate procurement, setup, documentation and facilitator onboarding, resolving issues during initial classes.

• Identify and train a Venue Champion and transition established venues into the ongoing venue-management system.

5. Health, Safety & Quality

• Maintain high operational, food safety and Health & Safety standards across Migrateful's London venues.

• Maintain appropriate Health & Safety, food safety and allergen systems, documentation and checks.

• Ensure facilitators and Venue Champions understand the procedures relevant to their roles.

• Coordinate equipment safety and compliance requirements and identify, track and escalate risks appropriately.

6. Systems, Procurement & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain effective systems for equipment, stock, ingredient ordering, procurement and venue documentation.

• Manage relevant supplier relationships and monitor expenditure within agreed budgets.

• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise or digitise processes and reduce unnecessary manual work.

• Maintain clear records so operational information is accessible, consistent and shared across the team.

Scope and Boundaries

The Venues Coordinator is responsible for the systems, standards and coordination that support effective venue management. They are not expected to personally undertake every routine task at every external venue.

Venue Champions provide local practical support and routine monitoring, with the Venues Coordinator responding to escalated issues and undertaking periodic quality assurance checks.

Reasonable changes may be made to the responsibilities of the role as Migrateful develops, following consultation with the postholder.

Working Hours & Out-of-Hours Support

Migrateful delivers cookery classes during evenings and weekends, so some operational issues may arise outside normal office hours.

The postholder will participate in a shared Operations Team out-of-hours rota. When rostered, they will provide first-line support for urgent operational issues affecting class delivery, escalating where appropriate.

The rota will be scheduled in advance. Expectations around availability, response times, escalation and working time/TOIL will be set out in Migrateful's Out-of-Hours Support procedure.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in kitchen, hospitality, venue, facilities or operational coordination, with a good understanding of Food Safety, Health & Safety and allergen management.

• Is highly organised and able to coordinate multiple venues, priorities and people while ensuring spaces are safe, well equipped and ready for classes.

• Takes a practical, proactive and solution-focused approach, with high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.

• Communicates confidently and builds effective relationships with a diverse range of people, including facilitators, suppliers and venue partners.

• Can develop and maintain clear operational systems, identify issues early and make practical improvements to how things are managed.

• Is comfortable working independently, using initiative and coordinating others, including Venue Champions.

• Is flexible about travelling between London venues, undertaking hands-on practical tasks and participating in the shared out-of-hours rota.

• Ideally has experience in a charity, social enterprise or community food setting, or working with volunteers and freelancers.

This varied, hands-on role will help keep our office running smoothly while supporting communications, trustee meetings, our AGM and charity events, including a sponsored charity run.

We are governed by a small Board of Trustees who are passionate about St Gregory's and the work we do. Day-to-day operations are managed by our Executive Secretary, who is the charity's only employee.

The role

We are looking for a suitable candidate, whether junior or experienced, to maintain our accounting and financial records and prepare our annual accounts.

The role includes maintaining and reconciling our QuickBooks accounts, processing bank transfers and payments, preparing financial and management reports for quarterly Board meetings, submitting Gift Aid claims, and preparing our annual accounts with the Reporting Accountant.

As a small charity, this is a varied role requiring someone who is organised, has an excellent eye for detail, is reliable, and is able to work independently while also being a good communicator and team player.

Main responsibilities

Monthly tasks

• Record day-to-day income and expenditure.
• Enter transactions into QuickBooks for our RBS accounts, including standing orders and CAF donations, and reconcile the accounts.
• Process bank transfers and payments.
• Arrange payment of invoices (held in OneDrive).
• Arrange payment for our freelance Online Communications Assistant.
• Arrange payment of the Executive Secretary's expenses.
• Attend brief remote meetings with the Executive Secretary and a member of the Board, as required, to discuss donations, donor records, QuickBooks entries and financial reports.
• Prepare financial and management reports for Board meetings (4–5 times a year).

Semi-annual and annual tasks

• Prepare and submit Gift Aid claims twice a year: after the financial year end (31 December) and after the end of the tax year (5 April). Ensure Gift Aid declarations are completed by eligible donors.
• Prepare the annual accounts with the Reporting Accountant (once a year).
• Prepare a budget review with the Executive Secretary (twice a year).

Key skills and experience

• Relevant accountancy or bookkeeping qualification and/or experience.
• Experience of preparing annual accounts and financial reports.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritise and manage your workload effectively.
• Experience of using QuickBooks would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of charity accounting would be an advantage.

About the Role

The National Institute of Teaching is seeking a Content Designer to join our content team to support the development of a range of programmes, including ITE, PGCE, ECTP and NPQs, and help shape high-quality, evidence-informed professional development for teachers and school leaders across England.

You will apply instructional design best practice, embed insights from research and contribute to ongoing programme improvement by testing new approaches and incorporating evidence into future iterations. This is an opportunity to influence programmes with a lasting impact on the teaching profession and to help share learning across the wider education system.

Contract: Fixed-term contract for four years due to funding.

Location: Hybrid – within commuting distance of one of our campuses.

Essential Criteria

• A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching. 
• Educated to level 7 or higher, with experience of academic reading and writing at Level 7 or higher.
• Experience of designing materials for NPQs, ECTP, initial teacher training, PGCE or other higher education programmes.
• A proven track record/a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the development of educational materials, including presentations, e-learning material, checklists, participant guides, and other materials used in training and development. 
• Understanding of instructional design methods, theories and best practice. 
• Experience of designing materials that involve critical reflection. 
• Experience in the education sector, ideally as a teacher, leader or instructor. 
• Ability to train and support others, including teachers, school leaders and content design colleagues, to deliver materials that integrate critical reflection at Level 7 with QTS-aligned classroom practice. 
• Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse group of key stakeholders. 
• Excellent track record of delivery on collaborative projects against tight timelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of designing materials that support Level 7 Master's assessments and an understanding of how to integrate this with QTS-aligned classroom practice. 
• Experience of working within a Lead Provider/sub-contractor delivery model or with DfE-funded programmes.
• Familiarity with the regulatory environment for higher education and Initial Teacher Education (ITE), including Office for Students (OfS) requirements.
• Previous exposure to or experience with User Experience (UX) Design and Design Thinking.
• Experience of designing interventions for research purposes and disseminating findings successfully.
• Experience of schools, especially those that face challenges, such as those in ‘cold spots’.
