About the role

The Head of Fundraising and Communications will lead the development and delivery of a systematic, data-driven, and project-managed approach to fundraising and communications — driving sustainable income growth and raising the charity’s profile and influence.

This role is first and foremost a fundraising leadership role. As the charity’s strategic lead for fundraising, they will shape and expand our income streams, strengthen systems and processes, and build a high-performing team to help us reach more young people with our vital work. They will also lead on external communications and storytelling, ensuring our narrative is compelling, consistent, and rooted in the powerful impact of our programmes.

While this role will oversee a team of three, the postholder will be hands-on and deeply involved in the systems and practices they implement, ensuring excellence in both strategy and delivery.

This newly created role is a key position on the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO, Deputy CEO, and Head of Programmes to deliver The Ben Kinsella Trust’s vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  Fundraising

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all fundraising activity, ensuring a systematic and dependable approach to income generation.
• Develop and deliver a long-term fundraising strategy that supports sustainable growth and diversification across grants & trusts, corporate donors, major donors, individual giving and community fundraising.
• Build and manage relationships with key funders and donors, working with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to cultivate and steward major partnerships.

  Communications and Marketing

• Develop and implement a comprehensive external communications strategy, providing strategic leadership communications and campaigns and ensuring alignment with the charity’s mission and priorities.
• Shape and oversee the charity’s external narrative, ensuring our storytelling is compelling, consistent, and rooted in impact.
• Oversee the charity’s external communications and brand, ensuring all public-facing content is high quality, consistent and strengthens the charity’s reputation.
• Lead the charity’s digital communications, including the website, social media, online campaigns and paid advertising; to grow awareness, engagement and support.
• Lead the creation of high-quality marketing materials and publications to support fundraising, advocacy, and service delivery.

  Finance

• Responsible for the Fundraising and Communications budget and any related contracted services budgets, and any relevant restricted funds.

Experience 

• Significant experience in a senior fundraising role, with a demonstrable track record of developing and delivering successful multi-stream income generation strategies.
• Experience overseeing complex high-value fundraising applications and partnerships across a broad funder base, such as trusts and foundations, corporate sponsors, major donors and public-facing campaigns.

Duties and Person Specification

Data Analysis, Systems and Reporting

• Develop and maintain robust and accurate data systems and monitoring processes, ensuring compliant archiving to support data integrity.

Essential Qualifications and Skills 

• Demonstrable experience in data analysis within the charity, public health, or social care sectors (comparable private sector experience will also be considered). 

• Experience coordinating and collecting qualitative and quantitative data to inform research, projects or services. 

• Experience using CRM systems and data visualisation tools (e.g., Salesforce, Socialsuite) to support monitoring, reporting and organisational insight.

• Proven ability to handle and analyse large datasets, including creating clear charts, dashboards and performance outputs in Excel or similar tools.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, accessible insights for a range of audiences.

In September 2025 Oxford opened its new home for humanities, the state-of-the-art Stephen A.  Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. The role

As a Community Fundraiser, you’ll:

This senior role will shape and lead one of our most strategically important income streams—ensuring we continue delivering life-changing support for veterans and their families.

This senior role is perfect for a confident relationship fundraiser with experience securing major gifts, running high-value campaigns, and delivering impactful special events.

Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders (AEC) is a youth charity east London; we are one of the UK’s top competitive cheerleading programmes, operating out of our "Talent Central" gym in Newham. What you will be responsible for as our Fundraising Manager:

• Developing a clear fundraising framework and working with our trustees to shape our fundraising strategy
• Researching and securing funding from trusts, foundations, corporate partners and relevant networks
• Writing strong, persuasive funding applications and engaging impact reports
• Building and stewarding long-term relationships with funders, potential partners, businesses and networks, and exploring opportunities for collaboration
• Exploring new income streams to help deliver our mission, including digital fundraising and community giving

• Helping to ensure our organisational policies are appropriate for funders' compliance

The role of the Specialist Support Worker is to enable our customers to develop greater independence and fulfilling lives. As part of your role, you will be required to oversee Medication compliance, provide practical support to those with general needs issues.
Create robust Support and Risk plans, updating as required, and working with a patch list of customers on an agreed basis.
Enable customers to improve their overall wellbeing, through maintaining good physical and mental health, motivating customers to par-take in social activities, and assisting customers to identify goals to improve their quality of life.
Ensure customers have applied for the correct benefits; that customers are managing their rent and utilities, whilst maintaining their home to a safe standard.

About the Role

The Programme Operations Officer role reports to the Programme Quality Lead (PQL) who has overall responsibility for quality oversight of programme compliance including reporting and project implementation across Cord’s country programmes and provides support in developing overall capacity for implementing programmes. The PQL also leads on Cord’s OMEAL system linked to learning and knowledge, ensuring that impact is monitored and learning is disseminated.

The Programme Operations Officer will support the Programme Quality Lead to deliver programme quality and OMEAL oversight and support to country teams and partners. Additionally, the role will support the wider Programme Operations Unit to ensure country programmes teams have the facilities and operational systems needed to deliver their work effectively. This role work closely with country teams to ensure they have the support required and will involve travel to programme locations.

The four focus areas of the role are: programme compliance, country programme support, OMEAL, and global operational support.

This role would suit someone with M&E and project cycle experience gained within a peacebuilding or development iNGO. You will have qualitative and quantitative skills, be able to analyse data efficiently, present information clearly, and work collaboratively demonstrating understanding the needs of a range of stakeholders.
