Contract: Full-time, permanent

Location: Hybrid, 2 days a week expected in our London office.

Those living outside the M25 can opt to not receive London Office Allowance and agree a more flexible office attendance pattern at offer stage. Please note that travel to the London office is at your own expense.

Frontline is entering an exciting period of growth and development as we continue to expand our programme portfolio and strengthen the support we provide to social workers and leaders throughout their careers.

The Programme Manager will work across a diverse programme portfolio and will provide the coordination, oversight and stakeholder management needed to ensure key milestones, deliverables and organisational commitments are achieved. You will bring structure to complex programmes, managing plans, risks, dependencies and stakeholder managements to keep activity aligned and on track.

Alongside line managing and supporting a Programme Officer, you will help shape a high-performing programme management function. Overtime, the role will evolve into direct ownership of strategic programmes and projects, providing the opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives and play a key role in Frontline’s continued growth and development.

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

• Lead the mobilisation and delivery of complex programmes, coordinating multiple workstreams, managing risks and ensuring key milestones and objectives are achieved
• Drive effective programme planning and governance through robust reporting, risk management, stakeholder engagement and decision-making processes
• Lead and develop programme management capability, embedding best practice, driving continuous improvement and shaping the successful delivery of strategic programmes.

A little bit about you 

We’re looking for an experienced programme or project management professional who thrives in complex environments and has a proven track record of delivering successful programmes, mobilisation activity or transformation projects. You will be highly organised, proactive and solution-focused with strong planning, governance and stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and workstreams. A confident relationship builder and communicator, you will bring structure and clarity to complexity, work effectively across diverse teams and remain adaptable and resilient in a changing environment. You will be committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.

We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn.
