This year, we will work with c.2,500 young people across Greater London, delivering careers coaching, workplace experiences, insight and guidance in partnership with businesses, schools and supporters. About the role

As Senior Finance & Operations Manager at Future Frontiers, your role is to oversee the finance and operations functions for an ambitious social mobility charity with an income of circa £1.4m and a team of 20 people committed to achieving lasting impact for young people.

You will oversee day-to-day financial operations, manage a small team, and deliver accurate, timely reporting that supports strategic decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure robust financial planning, compliance, and risk management. Your work will support and enable Future Frontiers’ mission and help us maximise our impact.

Your responsibilities

The focus of this role is on financial management and reporting for the organisation, as well as overseeing operations such as HR processes and IT. Core responsibilities include:

Financial Management and Reporting

• Run the monthly finance cycle to strict deadlines, ensuring accurate and complete data to support decision-making.
• Deliver concise monthly management accounts and variance analysis vs budget in a timely manner with insightful commentary to inform the CEO, SLT and Trustees.
• Oversee receipts and payments, reconciliations, and month-end procedures to ensure data accuracy and robust financial oversight.
• Lead on statutory accounts preparation and external audit to ensure full compliance and smooth audit outcomes.
• Continuously improve financial policies and processes to embed best practice and compliance with relevant legislation and Charity SORP.

Financial Planning

• Prepare annual budget documents, working closely with budget holders and supporting with forecasting and revisions to ensure realistic, well-informed financial plans that align with organisational strategy.
• Produce consolidated accounts, forecasts, and cashflows with commentary to support Trustees’ and SLT’s decision-making.
• Partner with SLT to provide financial analysis that drives operational efficiency and supports income generation and strategic projects.
• Support the SLT to develop multi-year income and expenditure forecasts to aid long-term funding and resource planning.
• Ensure the finance system structure, workflows and reporting remain fit for purpose and effectively support operations.

Operations and Compliance

• Manage relationships with key suppliers and outsourced providers, including landlords, payroll, pensions and insurers to ensure service quality and value for money.
• Oversee the recruitment and on-boarding of new staff, supporting the Finance & Operations Officer to coordinate the process, and supporting recruiting managers as needed.
• Ensure the maintenance of templates and processes to enable line managers to deliver the staff journey including inductions, staff surveys, annual reviews, and exits.
• Oversee the efficient usage of our database, systems and key platforms (including Salesforce, Xero, website), ensuring that the team is well resourced and has sufficient training to perform their roles.
• Oversee the management of IT hardware, software and systems, helping to keep Future Frontiers’ information secure and up to date, and acting as key liaison with third parties.
• Remain up-to-date on Charity SORP, legislation and sector best practice, supporting the CEO to ensure Future Frontiers remains compliant with HMRC, CC, ICO etc and is forward-looking.

People Management and Training

• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing Finance & Operations team.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, ambition and excellence within the team.
• Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.
• Support the building of financial literacy and understanding within the charity through training and supporting non-finance colleagues.
• Share your expertise and experience with colleagues across Future Frontiers to help foster a culture of lifelong learning and continuous professional development.

Wider contribution

• Contribute to department-, directorate- and organisation-wide projects and priorities through membership of project groups or taking on pieces of work in line with your skills, experience and development objectives
• Act as an ambassador for Future Frontiers, our cause and values in all engagements and communications with customers, suppliers, partners and supporters.

About you

• Experience, knowledge and qualifications
• Finance and accounting experience, ideally in a charity context (essential)
• Hold or be working towards a recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA (essential) 
• Demonstrable, up-to-date knowledge of Charity SORP (FRS 102) and financial regulations (essential)
• Strong understanding of financial systems, reporting tools and Excel, ideally with experience of using Xero or an equivalent system (essential)
• Proven track record of delivering concise monthly management accounts, audits, and statutory returns on time (essential)
• Experience in managing and developing finance teams / readiness to step up to a manager role (essential)
• Experience of managing an organisation’s office and/or operations (desirable)

Cure Parkinson's Research Engagement Manager is responsible for ensuring that the lived experience and perspective of people with Parkinson’s (PwP) is embedded across our research activities. The role includes managing our international Research Advocates Council and supporting public and patient involvement and engagement (PPIE) initiatives. • Have a sound knowledge around the safeguarding of the young people that we support.
• A good standard of written English and IT skills would be essential, you will be writing reports and keeping record of the Children and Young Peoples progress.
• Transporting children / young people to an activity or school is a requirement. A driving licence that has been held for 12 months would be desirable.

About the UKESF

We are the voice for skills in the Electronics industry and the semiconductor sector. Through engagement with Schools, Universities and Industry, it is our mission to encourage more young people to study Electronics and to pursue careers in the sector.

The UK has a long heritage of technological innovation and has a world-class Electronics sector with the potential to provide solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing society today. However, the demand for capable, employable Electronics Engineers and designers is currently outstripping supply.

Reporting to Head of Employment & Careers you will be required to manage and support a varied and challenging caseload into employment by providing high quality information and guidance. You will be expected to conduct in-depth and comprehensive initial assessments in order to produce SMART and tailored action plans.

Your role will also require meaningful weekly contact with beneficiaries, conducting regular reviews of agreed actions and setting revised actions where applicable. It is imperative that you are able to demonstrate and encourage a positive mindset among beneficiaries by adopting a strengths based approach to their journey into employment.

As a Senior Employment Advisor, you will be expected to conduct employer engagement activity for the service, as well as support the delivery of job fairs and sector specific workshops. The role will also require you to ensure the service is at capacity levels by establishing and maintaining a network of referral partners and attending outreach events.

You will have at least 3 years of experience working in a similar post supporting disadvantaged groups back to work and/or training and education. You will have experience of working in an evidence-based practice and working to set targets. You will be equipped with influencing and persuasion skills.

About the role

We’re looking for a creative and confident Content & Communications Coordinator to join our busy Digital and Marketing team at Imperial College Union. The successful candidate will manage our social media channels and content to drive two-way conversations, to increase awareness of the Union’s work, and help us better understand what they care about.

You will be our in-house journalist; planning and delivering content that speaks to our varied audiences. You’ll build strong relationships across the Union and College, writing creative copy and curating innovative social media content. Using your in-depth knowledge of social media, you will be aware of emerging trends across all platforms and create content that attracts and retains the interest and attention of our members. You will work closely with colleagues across the Union, including our elected Officer Trustees, to support them to reach more students and deliver key messages. This role is integral to supporting the diverse work the Union does.

What you would be doing

Content Planning

• To assist in the creation of communications and content plans to support the marketing team in the delivery of key Union marketing activity, such as Welcome Week and election.
• Populate the social media calendars to ensure regular, timely and impactful content across these channels on Instagram, TikTok and Threads. 
• Build networks with student groups, the Union’s newspaper (Felix) and external partners to develop opportunities for content collaboration
• Utilise student feedback and engagement with Union content to continue to improve and develop our output and channels
• Work with the Officer Trustees to promote their public profiles and provide support on their campaigns.
• Stay up to date with what’s happening across the Union, College, the city and wider student movement to stay current and spot positive PR opportunities and content.

Content Creation & Curation

• Ensure timely, relevant and engaging content for Union channels & platforms, including blogs, website, social media and news
• Write, proof and edit a variety of digital communications across the organisation, such as blogs and web content to ensure brand and tone of voice is consistent and correct
• Lead on the weekly student newsletter – composing and drafting the newsletter and sending it out to all students every week
• Attend student events to capture photos and videos content to use for marketing purposes and provide live social media coverage to a high standard
• Be aware of shareable, engaging content, sourcing content from external channels to build an engaged following and boost our content on social media
• Establish and work with student and staff social ambassadors in gathering stories and content

General

• Monitor and moderate social posts and comments and respond or escalate in line with the Union’s Crisis Comms plan

About the role

We are the UK’s largest independent non-profit investigative newsroom. Media partners around the world publish our reporting and hold power to account across five areas: environment, health, big tech, dirty money, and local power.

This role will initially focus on supporting two of those teams as they deliver journalism that drives real-world change. But it may also support work on new and emerging issues such as the rise of mis- and disinformation and how that affects UK communities. The two teams are:

• Bureau Local: works with communities to uncover hidden stories in the UK. The Bureau Local team has reported on the exploitation of migrant workers, run a community-led project aimed at giving voice to the Trans+ community, and brought transparency to the family courts system through reporting and training.

• Enablers: investigates the lawyers, accountants, and financial structures that allow dirty money to flow through the UK. Their work has prompted major regulatory investigations and legal action, challenging how corruption is facilitated at home and abroad..

Our fundraising

The Bureau is almost entirely funded through grants and donations – without our supporters, we couldn’t do what we do. Over recent years, we’ve grown to a team of 35 people with an annual income of £2.8m, backed by a committed network of trusts, foundations, and individuals.

This is an exciting time to join our fundraising team as we build on those strong relationships and explore new ways to diversify our income.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work with project leads to take their ideas and build a strong case for support, translating complex issues into powerful, accessible narratives for funders.

• Manage relationships with existing funders, ensuring timely reporting, effective stewardship and continued support.

• Research and develop a pipeline of new prospects.

• Write compelling proposals and applications to secure new grants.

• Collaborate with our other Fundraising Manager, who leads on environment, global health and big tech, and occasionally help in those areas.

About You

As the Philanthropy Manager, you will be a confident and persuasive communicator, comfortable engaging with supporters and stakeholders at all levels. You will have a solid knowledge of philanthropic giving and a deep appreciation of the value of high-quality donor stewardship. You will lead on managing and growing Art UK’s philanthropic giving programme, which includes the Patrons and supporter events programme and our major donor activity. You will be part of a small, committed Development team that raises funds across a broad range of income streams: trusts and foundations, public funding, corporates, high-net-worth individuals, online giving, and patron schemes. You will report to the Head of Development, work closely with the CEO and Chair of the Philanthropy Board, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
