The post of Group Work Facilitator will provide support to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence within group work provision.
At FearFree we run various trauma-informed groups for victims such as: Hope2Recovery, an educational domestic abuse online support group; Rediscovering You, a face-to-face emotional wellbeing recovery group; Inspiring Families, a ‘whole family’ approach to support; and a Living Skills group supporting those having to flee domestic abuse.
We are looking for experienced and motivated staff to join us to help deliver the group work programmes we run around locations in Wiltshire. Groups run in the morning, afternoon and evening. Training for the groups will be provided.
In addition to facilitating groups, staff will be asked to attend training events and meetings, including regular supervision.
This is a fixed term role until November 2025, with the potential to become permanent subject to funding.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To facilitate group work provisions across the Wiltshire Service.
- Completing pre and post group assessments and required paperwork, following the procedures in place.
- Write comprehensive case notes following groups about service user involvement, any concerns raised and any action required.
- Identify and take the appropriate action on any disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised within the group.
- To work cohesively with a second facilitator both virtually and in person in locations around Wiltshire.
- A willingness and ability to travel around Wiltshire and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
Skills and Qualities
- Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence or the willingness to increase knowledge and skills in this area.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience running groups, including listening skills, a good sense of timing, sensitivity to overall group dynamics, maintaining group safety and practical elements such as ensuring course material is delivered.
- A willingness to participate in in-house training, including group observation.
General
- Attend supervision as required.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings.
- Ensure service user records are kept up to date.
- Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holidays and sickness.

About the role
Crisis Skylight Oxford supports people experiencing homelessness. The service is based in the Old Fire Station alongside an Arts Centre open to the public. As the Reception Manager (Skylight Coordinator) you will ensure that the reception area runs efficiently and effectively and is a warm, supportive space to anyone needing our support. You will manage the reception team and volunteers, ensuring the provision of good advice, information, and guidance.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience of managing a busy reception where people have presented with a wide range of issues and challenges. You will have experience of working with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups or individuals, either as part of a paid role or in a voluntary capacity. This role includes line management responsibilities so you will need experience of managing staff and/or volunteers. You will have good admin skills, with strong oral skills including the ability to communicate key information clearly and precisely. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is already working within the sector or someone with voluntary experience who wants to use their Reception Manager experience to help end homelessness.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Team, which provides support to people and their families who have been impacted by domestic abuse.
Working closely with the wider Wiltshire Team your key responsibilities will be:
- To co-ordinate the delivery of group work programmes.

The Waterways Ombudsman Scheme is in place to ensure the independent handling of complaints made against the Canal & River Trust and other navigation authorities. The Waterways Ombudsman is appointed by the Waterways Ombudsman Committee who oversee the working of the Scheme and the remuneration of the Ombudsman on an independent basis. The Waterways Ombudsman Committee is recruiting for a new Waterways Ombudsman. We are aiming for a July 2024 start date.
Waterways Ombudsman
Working part-time and in a location of your choosing, you will take responsibility for all aspects of the ombudsman scheme. This includes handling complaints from initial enquiry through to resolution, as well as managing relationships with, the Committee, and the Canal & River Trust and other navigation authorities, waterway organisations and the media. You will also be responsible for administrative elements of the scheme, such as managing the website and preparing the annual report. The job involves working flexibly around four to five days over a month at a rate of £600 per day, which is paid through the independent Waterways Ombudsman Committee.
We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of how public or private sector ombudsman schemes work. If you haven’t gained direct experience within one already, then you will certainly have worked at a senior level within a legal environment, dispute resolution system or similar. Sound judgment and integrity are important, as are strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiating skills. You must also be able to work alone and in a highly autonomous way.

About the role
As Senior Health Officer: Knowledge Management and Communication, you will be responsible for the knowledge management and MEAL functions for the health team. We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Service Quality Adviser to join our Network Quality & Compliance Team. This role is part of the team that supports Age UK and its network of local and national partners to provide consistent, high-quality services to the public. The team is responsible for ensuring that training and guidance is available on how to run high quality services and supports individual network members with quality challenges and non-compliance.
The provision of Information and Advice (I&A) and our quality standards for these services, are a key element of this role. The successful post holder will have demonstrable experience of managing or supervising an I&A service and ideally, a broader understanding or experience of quality assurance and delivering services to older people.
This is a part-time, home-based opportunity, working 21 hours per week. Salary advertised is FTE. (Actual salary range for 21 hours per week - Actual £20,406 - £22,554)

Must haves:

Experience of using CRM databases and other data management systems to manage client information is desirable. Experience of using online training and communication resources such as Teams or Zoom.
Great to haves:
* Experience of community development, working with volunteers and/or supporting small local voluntary organisations.
* Experience of delivering services to contracts and / or consortium working.
* Knowledge of public policy and practice issues in the delivery of services to older people.
* Proven ability to evaluate services and projects, interpret data and report on findings.

About the role
We are looking for a Clinical Lead to join our counselling service that provides one-to-one counselling to survivors of VAWG. The Clinical Lead provides line management support to a team of CYP Therapists and supports with clinical decision making across the counselling service. The Clinical Lead will work from a trauma-informed perspective and use multi-modal interventions considering the needs of a diverse group of survivors of VAWG.
About you
The ideal candidate will offer a trauma-informed perspective to therapeutic intervention and clinical decision making. The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills, good communication skills (both written and verbal), and an ability to manage their own workload. The successful candidate will be able to balance competing priorities and support the wider counselling team to deliver a high-quality service to the survivors accessing support.
Previous management experience is a plus, but not essential. If you hold a recognised professional counselling qualification to Diploma level or equivalent with 2 years’ post-qualification experience, and are passionate about ending VAWG, we would love to hear from you.

The Multiple Disadvantage role is aimed at providing specialist support services to women living in refuge with multiple needs, who have experienced domestic, or sexual violence and who have mental illness or use substances problematically. You will liaise with partner agencies ensuring services delivered are of the highest standard in line with the organisation aims and objectives.
About the Role
You will work with women living in refuge within 7 Pan London boroughs, to devise a support plan that meets their immediate practical and emotional needs and start the process of recovery, linking women into more specialist support services where required. The Multiple Disadvantage Worker will undertake risk assessments, safety plans and identify support needs of women such as accessing benefits, budgeting, and explore re settlement pathways from the refuge. You will promote social inclusion, encourage independence and development of personal resilience. You will build up support network for women, promoting and enabling engagement with other services.
About You
Relevant experience and direct work within specialist support services to women/families with multiple needs. Case work experience, providing proactive and emotional support to women who have experienced domestic abuse and provide the support to enable them to recover and rebuild their lives. Relevant experience around working multi agency and being proactive in relation to multi agency working, with a professional manner.
