About the role:
Working across the People team the People and Talent Coordinator is an essential for the organisation, contributing to the long- term development and performance of the People directorate. The postholder will have excellent communications skills, a keen eye for detail and an ability to work on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment. The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support for refugees and people seeking asylum who have experienced extreme human cruelty such as torture or human trafficking. We work with hundreds of clients every year from all over the world. HBF delivers a specialist Model of Integrated Care that addresses the complex needs and vulnerabilities of survivors. The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Team which operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The duties of Client Services Administrator are two-fold 1) is to host our busy reception area and friendly waiting room; welcome clients and visiting professionals to the Helen Bamber Foundation and attend to any needs they might have and 2) to oversee the booking of appointments between clients and staff/volunteers across the organisation; liaising with third parties and clinicians in relation to Initial Assessments; booking and managing doctor’s diaries for our Medical Advisory Services and the booking of interpreters across the organisation. You will be at the heart of an exciting team of experts, working as the face of HBF and the first point of contact for both external and internal queries. You will be a self-motivating team player, organised, efficient and have a compassionate mind-set.
The role will work closely with the other person in post as Client Services Administrator and jointly manage the workload. The role also includes assistance and general facilities support to the Senior Operations and HR Coordinator.

About the role
The Welfare Scheme Assessor will be a part of a small, but committed team with big ambitions that works cohesively and effectively together to get things done.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
Training
- In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
- To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year. This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
- To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses.
- Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.
General Administrative
- Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review.
- Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings.
- Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
- Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

You will play a key supporting role to the People Officer, taking pride in ensuring the Trust’s head office is organised, inviting and a welcoming space for both employees and visitors. You will take responsibility for providing a well-stocked office by ordering and managing stationary, consumables and uniform.
With a proactive and organised mind-set, you will form part of a team that delivers outstanding support across the organisation, acting as the first port of call for office, human resource and recruitment queries and working with the wider team to develop learning and development, engagement and culture initiatives.
The Admin Officer role will encompass a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:
- To be the first point of contact at the Trust offices, welcoming office visitors and responding to their enquiries. Working with the wider People Team to ensure Monday – Friday, 9-5 cover office cover.
- To support the People Manager and Head of People with human resource and recruitment administration as required.
- To assist with organising internal events for staff and volunteers.

About the role:
You’ll provide high quality admin support to the East of England team, coordinate, plan and prep key meetings, and provide first point contact for both internal and external stakeholders, including working co-productively with people living with Parkinson’s.
As members of the Community Directorate we aim to reach out to and support people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends and carers. We enable the voice of people affected by Parkinson’s to be heard to improve services, inform our priorities and improve decision making locally.
Through community development we work in close collaboration with our respective Parkinson’s communities to bring change on the issues that matter most to people affected by Parkinson’s.
What you’ll do:
- Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and other events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, liaising with participants and speakers, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings as required.
- Keep up to date with the directorate’s activities in order to provide clear, accurate information, and support the process of business performance and impact reporting.
- Respond to general enquiries in a timely and friendly fashion, ensuring needs are met, and participate in working groups, meetings, local events or activities as required.
- Maintain digital records on the charity’s data platforms.
What you’ll bring:
- Excellent administration skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities.
- Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously that meet the business requirements.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively.
- Ability to work flexibly and from home with some travel and the occasional overnight stay.
