This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful Mind in Bexley Recovery College team. The Recovery College was formed by Mind in Bexley in 2014 and our purpose is to develop and deliver programmes of self-management, awareness and information sessions for adults with experience of mental ill-health to promote wellbeing and recovery, for their relatives and friends and for professionals working in the London Borough of Bexley.

As a Recovery College Facilitator, you’ll be a key point of contact within the Recovery College. Your responsibilities will focus around designing, delivering, evaluating, reporting and the continuous development of structured learning programmes for people with mental ill health. You will help shape the ongoing vision and goals of the Recovery College to ensure that future development of the service meets the needs of the people it supports. You will also participate in external forums, workshops and events to promote the work and ethos of Mind in Bexley.
Key Responsibilities

1. Make a positive contribution to the delivery of a thriving, innovative and effective Recovery College.

2. As part of the Recovery College team, deliver both face to face and online courses, workshops and groups according to curriculum requirements.

3. As required, design, deliver and evaluate courses, workshops and groups ensuring co-production at each stage.

4. Ensure effective learning takes place by using evidence based interventions, appropriate teaching methods and learning processes.

5. Demonstrate effectiveness by achieving high levels of student retention, measuring impact, increased involvement of participants and positive individual progress.

6. Contribute to the development of best practice within the service.

7. Undertake client assessments and regularly review individual progress.

8. Support individuals in setting learning goals and participating in workshops, courses and groups to ensure positive learning outcomes.

9. Keep accurate and up to date records of client including attendance, assessments, progress and impact measures.

10. Signpost and refer clients to internal and external services when appropriate.

11. Ensure individual inclusion, accessibility and other needs are met.

12. Provide clients with information and advice on further learning and progression opportunities including volunteering and support into employment

13. Participate in external forums, workshops, meetings and events to promote the work of the Recovery College and Mind in Bexley.

14. Keep up to date on local resources, facilities, training and recovery services.

15. Work effectively with peer facilitators and volunteers.

16. Work in partnership with team members, colleagues, professionals and other services.

17. Participate in induction, training, supervision and continual professional development.

18. See advice and support from line manager when needed.

19. Identify, report and monitor any safeguarding concerns or risk in accordance with the latest local procedures.

Richmond Carers Centre has the mission to help unpaid adult carers to live a full, active and meaningful life by providing them with advice, information, activities, breaks and emotional support either face to face, by phone or by email to enable them to live well.

As an Adult Carers Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers, often via the phone support line, providing information, advice and support. As part of the Adult Carers Support Team, you will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. You’ll also be expected to work with our volunteers and to use appropriate monitoring and evaluation reports to show our funders what we’ve achieved.

Main Duties include:

• To provide a regular telephone support-line, face-to-face and email support, offering appropriate, generic advice
• To offer a range of service delivery options and be involved in providing those options e.g., breaks, group work, leisure activities or other outreach activities
• To encourage and assist carers and those they care for to access Care Needs Assessments and Carers Assessments and to take up services that will enhance their lives
• To complete individual grant applications with carers for respite or if they are experiencing financial hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis
• To work where appropriate with other service providers/agencies to promote the carer agenda or jointly deliver carer support issues
• To be proactive in the registration of carers living or caring for someone within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
• To keep accurate records of group and individual carer engagement for monitoring and evaluation purposes
• To participate in key events organised by Richmond Carers Centre and other relevant partners to promote services to a wider public

As part of our shift to embed our advocacy services in the communities we serve, Lamp are recruiting an Advice and Outreach Officer to play a key role in the provision of our Community Mental Health Advocacy service.

A brand new role for the organisation the successful postholder will be responsible for providing our drop-in sessions and advocacy skills workshops across a variety of community spaces around Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The successful post holder will be a confident public speaker and dynamic self-starter who is able to cultivate and develop relationships with both professionals and service users. You will work autonomously and must have excellent time-keeping skills and be comfortable managing a varied workload.

As an Advice and Outreach Officer you will work in tandem with our Advocates and Information and Advice Officer to raise awareness of our work, provide ad hoc advice and signposting, manage incoming referrals and deliver confidence and skills building workshops. Experience of delivering advocacy services is not essential but an understanding of the remit and impact of advocacy intervention is highly desirable.

As a mental health charity, we value the lived experiences of people with poor mental health and pride ourselves on providing an inclusive, authentic and accessible service. The successful post holder will be familiar with the social and systemic barriers faced by people living with poor mental health and must be able to offer compassion and empathy toward the people we support.

ABOUT SUZY LAMPLUGH TRUST: 

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was established in memory of Suzy Lamplugh, a young estate agent who tragically disappeared while at work in 1986 and was later declared deceased in 1993. Created to honour Suzy’s legacy, the Trust aims to empower individuals and organisations to take a stand against abuse, aggression, and violence in all forms, supporting safety in both personal and professional lives.

Role Overview: 

This is a blended role combining responsibilities across the National Stalking Helpline (0.6 FTE) and the National Advocacy Service (0.4 FTE).
The postholder will deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support across the full victim journey from first contact and immediate risk assessment through to ongoing advocacy and multi-agency casework.
The role ensures a seamless service for victims, supporting individuals at all risk levels through:

• Immediate advice, triage, and safety planning via the helpline
• Ongoing advocacy, case management, and support navigating the criminal justice system

This model strengthens continuity of care and ensures consistent, victim-centred support across services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: National Advocate (.4) National Helpline (.6) 

• Provide advice, guidance, emotional support, safety planning, and risk assessment to individuals contacting the National Stalking Helpline. 

• Answer incoming calls to the helpline and manage contacts in line with service standards. 

• Helpline duties day/week/FTE with flexibility to meet demand/need 

• Provide tailored advocacy support, advice, and guidance to victims living including emotional support, risk assessment, and safety planning. 

• Using the SASH, conduct follow on risk assessments to inform ongoing safety planning 

• Develop and maintain individualised advocacy plans for each client. 

• Support clients to navigate the Criminal Justice System (CJS), civil and family courts. 

• Liaise with other professionals and agencies, such as housing, health, social care, and law enforcement, to ensure coordinated support. 

• Proactively research and build strong working relationships with support services and share best practice 

• Advise and advocate on behalf of victims when their rights under the Victims’ Code are not being met. 

• Undertake ISA accreditation (training provided if not already achieved). 

• Apply cyberstalking knowledge and seek cyber technical support on complex cases. 

• Manage a caseload of up to advocacy 12 clients 

• Ensure prompt case closure when advocacy needs end, victims withdraw consent, or contact attempts fail. 

• Monitor and respond to the helpline email Live chat, inbox and voicemail messages in a timely and professional manner. 

• Respond to contacts from victims, friends, family members, and professionals seeking support or information. 

• Make safeguarding referrals and maintain compliance with safeguarding policies. 

• Conduct surveys and feedback to assess service impact. 

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records in line with organisational standards. 

• Deliver one-off advocacy interventions where appropriate.

• This role is hybrid, initially requiring on-site attendance at our London office until the successful completion of the first probation review (typically 3 months).

About the Role

The Refugee and Migrant Centre is seeking to appoint two Employment Coaches, one full-time and one part-time - to support clients in overcoming barriers to employment and moving closer to the labour market.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide one-to-one employment support to clients, including CV building, job search assistance, interview preparation, and completing job applications.

· Assess clients' skills, experience, and employment goals to develop tailored action plans.

· Support clients in accessing training, work placements, and volunteering opportunities to enhance employability.

· Liaise with employers and training providers to identify suitable opportunities for clients.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, tracking progress and outcomes in line with organisational requirements.

· Work collaboratively with other teams and services within the organisation to provide holistic support.

Essential Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years' experience working directly with clients on employment-related matters.

· Ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

· Provide advice through telephone and webchat

Skills / Experience Required
 

• At least 3 years’ experience in welfare advice or casework within the charity sector
• Strong people management experience (including supporting and developing staff/volunteers)
• Strong project/service improvement experience, with confidence managing competing priorities
• Knowledge across welfare benefits, housing, debt and/or immigration, plus safeguarding understanding
• Confidence using case management systems and using data to inform reporting and improvements
• Experience of the Advice Quality Standard, work with refugees and asylum seekers, and/or community language skills (e.g., Arabic, Farsi, Somali) – desirable

The Bexley SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living in Bexley. An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for an IDVA (Adult Social Care). We provide a package of support covering crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning.

About the Role

As an IDVA (Adult Social Care), you provide specialist, proactive support to survivors of domestic abuse who are at high risk of harm. You will work with individuals who have current or previous involvement with Adult Social Care, including those facing additional barriers to support. You will manage a caseload of around 30 clients, working closely with partner agencies including Police, Children's Social Care, and MARAC.

Working alongside Adult Social Care’s frontline triage team, you will offer guidance where domestic abuse is identified and deliver training to staff to build awareness and understanding of domestic abuse and its impact.

About You

You have a thorough understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, alongside experience of providing emotional and practical support and strong casework management skills.

You have the skills to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, and individual support planning, with demonstrable experience in an IDVA or similar role with this client group.

High organised, self-motivated, and passionate about ending gender-based violence. You bring a “can-do” approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer.
