We are recruiting for an Events Fundraising Assistant. This is a full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent role. This is a hybrid role in the London office (at least twice a week) and working from home, with flexible working options. This role will work closely and support the Events Challenge Manager and the wider Events team.

What will your day look like as an Events Fundraising Assistant?

• Delivering tailored stewardship for supporters taking on a variety of third-party challenge events including runs, treks, and cycles.
• Managing team in boxes and responding to queries in a timely manner.
• Web page management, ensuring event information is up to date and accurate. Creating new web pages when required.
• Working with the volunteer team to recruit and manage the volunteer requirements across the events portfolio.
• Liaising with venues and third parties to deliver an excellent event experience.
• Managing stock control at the storage unit and accepting deliveries when required.

The Centre for Ageing Better is looking for a talented Deputy Director to lead on work, retirement and transitions. About the role

We organise our Policy & Ideas work around the following issue areas: families, work and care; housing, land and climate; community, place and social security; and macroeconomics and fiscal policy. This role will have a focus on either macroeconomics or fiscal policy, or both, whole also working to support out other policy themes. We want our work to confront the immediate manifestations of poverty and insecurity but also the deeper social and economic conditions on which these rest.

That’s where you come in.

We are seeking two Senior Economists, one full-time permanent role and one 12-month fixed term role, which could be either full-time or part-time. In both roles, we are looking for someone to develop and lead research projects that generate arguments, policies and ideas to address the social and economic challenges that underpin poverty and household economic insecurity in the UK today and chart a course to a different and better future.

You will devise, lead and deliver high quality economic analysis and thinking to JRF’s policy & ideas work and offer a professional economics perspective across the wider organisation – and as a trusted, expert voice externally. You will seek out and connect with people or organisations developing new ideas and strategies that can contribute to our mission; and to develop proposals for how JRF should use its platform and resources to support their development and diffusion.

About you

As a Senior Economist, we would like you to either have a professional economics training or equivalent professional work experience, advanced data analysis skills and the ability to use a wide range of tools and software to undertake large scale and groundbreaking economic analysis (including using micro-data from major national surveys).

With experience of working on policy issues relating to poverty, you will have significant experience of having initiated, designed, led and delivered projects that included original economic analysis that generated a different or better understanding of policy challenges and helped to guide new arguments and ideas. You will be able to think critically and creatively, analyse and problem solve, and contribute to the generation of new ideas and alternative ways of approaching an issue, able to communicate arguments and ideas persuasively, via writing and speaking.

You will have advanced knowledge and critical awareness of economic theory, principles, datasets and analytical techniques and how to deploy these effectively in support of understanding and addressing the drivers of household economic insecurity. With significant knowledge of one or both of macroeconomics or UK fiscal policy and a strong understanding of how policy making works across the UK, devolved and sub-national governments, you will have an awareness and engagement with relevant political, policy and intellectual debates, plus models and approaches to social change.

Details of Job

The Events and Communications Officer will work across the team to plan, produce and deliver a calendar of in-person and on-line events. They will also communicate our work to external audiences to drive the participation of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in our programmes and attract potential funding from corporates, grant-makers, and government bodies.

The post holder will work with the programme team to manage a calendar of online and in-person events and oversee the event process from beginning to end. The post holder will manage ticketing platforms, oversee event budgets and logistics and create event briefings to ensure alignment between external speakers and team members. This will include overseeing the set-up of IT and technology to ensure smooth event delivery and acting as a main contact point for external event partners. After events, the post holder will manage communications with external partners and audiences, log their participation in the CRM system and produce timely reports on event outcomes for the programme team contributing to evaluation and learning cycles.

The post holder will also work with the Director and programme team to deliver the charity’s marketing and communications plan. They will maintain and grow our brand identity and tone of voice by using social media platforms, paid advertising campaigns and creating original content for our website to share our impact, drive participation and grow our partnerships. The Role

This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across regions, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region.

Mentoring programme

• Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
• Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
• Design and deliver events and workshops for mentees.
• Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
• Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
• Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.
• Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships.
• Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network process in line with our child protection policy.

This new role, partially funded by the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund, builds upon the work of the previous Partnerships and Engagement Officer role with an expanded focus on reaching people from multiply marginalised communities.

Location: Community based/Hybrid. Living within 45 minutes of Grantham, Lincolnshire; covering an area within  approximately a two-hour radius.

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Contract: Maternity Cover for 14 months.

What you will be doing

• Provide guidance and training to support partnerships between people with hearing loss and their hearing dog
• Assess people’s needs and provide advice, guidance, and signposting so they can get the help they need with their hearing loss
• Bring people together in local communities and by connecting our partnership with our Peer Support Volunteers

Key activities

• Manage a caseload of partnership relationships learning about their needs and providing advice, support, and services personally with the help of others
• Offer community days and dog walks in local communities bringing people together
• Provide tailored support to hearing dog partners through remote contact, home and workplace visits, and accompanying them to the vets and other places
• Create and implement partnership support plans, dog behaviour modification plans, dog welfare plans, and risk management
• Continually assess the support need and risks for our partnerships and hearing dogs and ensure adequate plans are in place to address them 

Desired candidate

The successful candidate is confident in their dog training and handling ability. They are experienced coaching and encouraging others. They can work with people with a wide range of needs and are solution focused. They can assess risk and have confidence in handling sensitive situations with empathy. They can develop professional materials for internal and external use.

Durham Floating Support is a mental health, community-based service, working to a recovery model and is part of the Durham Mental Wellbeing Alliance.  We provide a range of support for people with mental ill health including assisting them in developing coping strategies and support to manage their mental health, develop social networks and to access resources in their local community, support with benefits and housing related issues.  We have been operating in the area for several years and provide a service for people aged 18 and upwards.

We’re seeking an organised, insightful, and collaborative Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to help strengthen the evidence base behind our work. You’ll have experience supporting monitoring and evaluation across a range of projects - ideally including behaviour change or public engagement initiatives - and be comfortable collecting, analysing and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data. You’ll also be confident using tools such as Excel and survey platforms to create clear, informative outputs that support reporting, learning, and continuous improvement.
