• As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people.
• You will maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people by assisting in identifying, establishing and supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.

Working therapeutically within a person-centred PBS model the role will focus on enabling young people to access education, community activities and enabling families to have a better quality of life.  

The service is based in Wythenshawe, Manchester however you will work across Manchester supporting several families. 

Starting salary is £24,700 per annum (£12.67ph) based on working 37.5 hours per week.

Weekend shifts paid at 25% extra per hour

 As a specialist service there is a comprehensive package of training and support either internally within the Trust’s Learning & Development Team or externally with our professional partners (which include social services and CAHMS).

The role includes:

About the role

RCS England is one of the most high-profile health commentators in the UK. You will regularly see us advocating for patients and the surgical workforce in the national press. Candidates should have experience of successfully pitching stories to national media and know what makes a good health story. You will have a fluent writing style and be confident working with senior stakeholders to brief them before interviews.

Responsibilities 

·Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with RCS England key messages and priorities.

·Participate in an out-of-hours rota for media enquiries. Time off in lieu is offered for significant out-of-office hours worked.

·Research, write and distribute press releases, features, letters and other editorial material.

·Draft articles, quotes and opinion pieces on behalf of RCS England spokespeople.

About the role 

This is a critical role that will work with the newly created Head of Media and Strategic Communications to help deliver an ambitious media strategy, which aims to help secure policy change, improve public attitudes and strengthen our new brand.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and deliver proactive media strategies to support fundraising, services, and policy work, securing coverage to engage target audiences and build the brand profile.
• Be a key member of a high-performing press office by building journalist relationships, handling media requests, drafting press materials, and supervising media volunteers.
• Monitor media coverage, maintain mailing lists, and distribute materials.
• Work with the Senior Stories and Content Officer to find compelling case studies and support refugees to share their stories.
• Produce social media content to inform and engage key audiences.
• Devise marketing plans to support services, influencing work, and brand building.
• Plan, produce, and review marketing and fundraising materials, ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with brand guidelines.

About you

You will have extensive experience in media and communications, having worked in a busy press office or PR agency. You are skilled at distilling complex issues into clear, consistent messaging for external audiences and have a proven track record of implementing media strategies across both traditional and digital platforms.

We are looking for a passionate and driven Fundraising Manager to help us take our fundraising to the next level.

The impact you will have

Working alongside the Head of Fundraising, you will inspire funders, donors and local companies to support our work. You will develop compelling applications to Trusts and Foundations and build strong relationships with grant managers.

Supporting the delivery of our annual calendar of public fundraising events, you will manage communications with public supporters and work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to develop innovative fundraising campaigns and social media content.

Hours: Between 30 – 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £37,011 - £38,763 per annum, dependent on experience (pro rata for part- time)

About you

You have a strong track record of generating income from a range of funders, with a proven success of securing grants from Trusts and Foundations. You also have up-to-date knowledge of fundraising best practice and current fundraising trends.

It would be great if you have experience of planning and supporting fundraising events, and experience of developing corporate partnerships.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated leader to join our Senior Leadership team as Chief Operating Officer / Head of Central Resources. This is a key role managing and continuously improving our central operations, enabling the Trust to maximise our impact. Scope of role

We recognise the scope of this role is wide and we are open to working with the successful candidate to flex the span of their initial responsibilities dependent on their individual strengths. While we are ideally seeking an experienced Senior Leader who can deputise for our CEO and oversee daily operations as Chief Operating Officer, we have deliberately set the Job Specification requirements broad.
