This role delivers one to one case work including ongoing support to resolve both immediate and crisis situations, in the main relating to welfare benefits, referring to appropriate support agencies and other ICCM services promoting a multiagency approach. The role

We are looking for an experienced part-time NEBOSH or IOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager, who will lead manage and develop our health and safety requirements and responsibilities around working outside and around water.

We have a health and safety management plan which following on from our Health and Safety audit, has outlined the framework for this role and what is needed to be implemented over the next 12 months.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Work with both Head of HR and Operations Manager on certain aspects of office Health & Safety with as and where necessary
• Project manage and deliver all requirements of the new created H&S Management Plan
• Work with managers on Construction Design Management (CDM) health and safety
• Track and ensure that risk assessments are being completed within teams for events and elsewhere where required in Thames21
• Work with HR and line managers to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are created, updated and reviewed periodically
• Deliver the H&S induction session with new joiners when and where applicable
• Work with the Operations Manager to ensure vehicle checks are conducted in accordance with the vehicles policy, and that all drivers are trained in the use of the inspection checklists and all aspects of vehicle inspection.
• Compile a quarterly incident report to the Head of HR
• Manage the incident reporting system, escalating serious incidents (including risks) to senior management

• Manage a programme of safety audits to reporting these to the management team
• Manage and run the quarterly H&S group meetings and keep track of progress of actions that have been assigned

About the Community & Events Fundraising Officer role:

The Public Fundraising team are responsible for recruiting and stewarding new supporters in order to secure long-term income and growth. The Role

Tearfund is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel specialising in risk management to join our highly skilled Legal & Risk team.

This critical role combines legal expertise with strategic risk assessment to protect and manage risk in a complex global organisation. You'll work collaboratively and proactively with colleagues across the organisation to deliver agile and responsive organisational risk management that facilitates the achievement of our strategic objectives. This will involve engaging risk owners to support their analysis and reporting of risks and notifiable incidents to senior management. 

You will be a qualified lawyer with around 3 years of post-qualification experience, with experience of advising on risk.

We are looking for a natural collaborator, who will have excellent communication & relationship management skills with the ability to influence and manage expectations at all levels of the organisation. 

Please note this is a permanent part time role working 28 hours per week. The full time salary is £53,057 per annum. The part time salary is £42,445.60 per annum. The working pattern will be agreed with the line manager.

The project:

We are in the process of expanding our service beyond our London footprint to Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent, along with Thames Valley, providing one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations.

This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.

In short you will:

• Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach
• Ensure the client waiting area is kept tidy with up-to-date information/leaflets and supplies of refreshments
• Facilitate direct group delivery and events at the Women’s Centre and regional venues
• Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region
• Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region
• Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria
• Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events
• Manage administration for the Hampshire Minerva team
• Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

The Role

As a Triage and Early Intervention Officer, you will be the first point of contact via telephone, text or email for clients referred to the service. You will conduct comprehensive impact and risk assessments, provide immediate and short-term interventions, and ensure that each client receives tailored support that meets their individual needs.

As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Conduct comprehensive impact and risk assessments for clients.
• Provide tailored responses to clients' needs, including children and young people and those affected by domestic abuse, ensuring they are aware of their rights.
• Manage a caseload of clients requiring immediate and short-term interventions, developing support plans and referring to other agencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records.
• Work as part of a team and collaborate with statutory and voluntary agencies to address clients' needs.

About You

Ideally you will have an understanding of the impact of crime and the criminal justice system. Experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting is also beneficial.

You will need:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Competent IT skills, able to use generic systems.
• To work effectively both as part of a team and independently
• To develop and maintain partnerships with external organisations.
• The ability to undertake impact and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues and legislation related to child protection and vulnerable adults.
