We have an exciting opportunity for a Centre Manager to play a vital part in leading one of our residential centres, ensuring we deliver unforgettable experiences for children and young people aged 8–13. This role will oversee operations at our Ashbourne site in Derbyshire, contributing to the safe, smooth, and inspiring running of our centres.

About the role:

As Centre Manager you will take overall responsibility for the site, its buildings, grounds, vehicles, and on-site team, ensuring our centres are safe, compliant, and welcoming. You will lead staff and volunteers, inspire strong teamwork, and play a key role in delivering exceptional residential breaks for children and young people.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding, and risk management.
• Leading and managing the on-site team (Housekeeping, Maintenance, Catering, Team Leaders, and Volunteers).
• Managing budgets, resources, facilities, and contracts to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
• Developing and delivering land and centre management plans to ensure our facilities are safe, welcoming, and environmentally sustainable.
• Ensuring children enjoy nutritious meals, exciting activities, and a safe environment during their stays.
• Raising the charity’s profile within the local community, encouraging third-party use of our facilities and supporting local partnerships.
• Producing quarterly centre-based reports for senior leadership on H&S, incidents, and development projects.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Centre Manager with strong leadership and operational skills, as well as a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people.

You will have the following essential skills and experience:

• Excellent understanding of Health & Safety, safeguarding, and child-centred activity planning.
• Proven experience in facilities, land, or fleet management.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a multi-disciplinary team.
• Financial awareness with experience managing budgets and resources.
• Confident communicator, problem solver, and decision-maker.
• A commitment to sustainability and green practices.

It would be desirable if you also have:

• A recognised Facilities Management or H&S qualification.
• Experience of working in child-focused environments.
• Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
• Previous budget management experience and commercial acumen.

Partnership Activation Manager

Serve as the primary point of contact for a variety of Corporate Partners, nurture strong relationships & ensure optimal value through exceptional account management!

The Partnership Activation Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for a variety of Factory International’s Corporate Partners, nurturing strong relationships and ensuring optimal value through exceptional account management and delivery of all rights and benefits outlined in our partnership agreements. Responsibilities include managing multiple partnerships, coordinating events and activations, facilitating ticket bookings and creating tailored hospitality packages. Additionally, the role involves providing programme updates, conducting regular partnership meetings, and tracking and reporting on partnership progress. We’re a collaborative team, managing relationships with numerous internal and external stakeholders, so this dynamic role requires a team player who has a keen attention to detail and strong communication skills.

The key responsibilities for the Partnership Activation Manager include;

• Deliver a range of corporate partnerships and associated activity in collaboration with Factory International teams
• Act as primary Account Manager for a portfolio of Corporate Partners, cultivating strong relationships with key contacts and their wider organisations
• Track, document and present partnership progress at internal and external meetings
• Provide expert stewardship to Partners, including senior stakeholders
• Support renewals by working with the Sales team to identify growth opportunities, track/report on activity, and develop opportunities to increase support
• Maintain accurate partnership records in CRM (Spektrix), including activity, ticket bookings and contacts
• Facilitate onboarding of new partners, ensuring processes and procedures are followed
• Support the planning and delivery of a year-round calendar of partnership events, working with the Partnership Activation Lead and wider team
• Manage ticketing, hospitality and event logistics in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Lead on the delivery of activations such as pop-ups, campaigns, placements, volunteer opportunities and other partner event or activation formats
• Ensure timely and effective delivery of all partnership activity, including timely project management of all activities and communications
• Assist the Partnership Activation Lead with large-scale activations and supporting account management for multi-year, high-value partners (e.g. Aviva naming rights partnership)

Would you like to be part of a vital helpline service? Scotland’s Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage Helpline, run by Scottish Women’s Aid, is looking for Helpline Call Handlers to join our busy daytime team.

What you’ll do

You’ll provide confidential support and information to individuals experiencing domestic abuse or forced marriage, as well as their families, friends, colleagues, and professionals supporting them. Responding by phone, email, web chat, and text, you’ll assess needs and risks, helping them plan for their safety and connecting them to appropriate services and resources. You’ll also record information about the contacts you handle using our digital systems.

What we need

Daytime shifts can be especially busy on the helpline. You’ll need to stay calm and empathetic while working in a fast-paced environment, and be ready to handle difficult and sometimes distressing situations. This role can be challenging, but it is also hugely rewarding if you bring the right skills and resilience.

We need people who:

• Are passionate about supporting those affected by domestic abuse and forced marriage, with a feminist understanding of how gender shapes these issues.
• Can listen with empathy and communicate clearly with people from all walks of life, whether by phone, email, text, or webchat.
• Can take in complex information and explain it simply.
• Take a trauma-informed, person-centred, non-directive, and non-judgemental approach.

THE ROLE 

The Development Manager will proactively develop programme ideas into winnable proposals and progress income from institutional donors as well as trusts and foundations. Reporting to the Global Development Director, the successful candidate will be a self-starter with the relevant experience, skills and relationships to develop a portfolio of prospects and grantmakers. You will work as part of a collaborative and friendly development team and work closely with programmes to develop new ideas and applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop new ideas for business development and submit to institutional and/or trusts & foundations as appropriate
• To work with programme teams to submit timely proposals in response to calls including proposal development and coordinating the proposal administration process
• Work closely with the programme teams to identify and respond to new opportunities for their portfolios and develop existing relationships in collaboration with IWPR programmes
• Contribute to the development team and overall organisational income targets
• Develop strategies for engaging new prospective donors – including foundations - through research
• Gather and share information on new potential funding and/or themes and contribute to the intelligence and MEL functions of IWPR with donor information and competitor mapping
• To contribute to the overall strategic development of the team including the MEL and networking functions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• At least 4 years of experience working in a similar role

About Care4Calais

Care4Calais is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in France and the UK. 

In the UK, we collect and distribute clothing, shoes, mobile phones, and other essential items, alongside offering social support and access to legal, medical, and educational services. In northern France, we operate year-round from Calais, working alongside local communities in Calais and Dunkirk to provide warm clothing, bedding, and services to displaced refugees living in challenging and dangerous conditions.

All of Care4Calais' operations are supported by a small, dedicated staff team, who supervise large volunteer teams to provide critical support to asylum seekers and people on the move in both the UK and France.

About the Role

Care4Calais is recruiting two Operations Coordinators to support its humanitarian operations in northern France. The association operates every day of the week, coordinating the distribution of non-food items (NFI) and providing services and activities, such as phone charging, games, and access to hairdressing, bicycle repair, and sewing equipment.

As an Operations Coordinator, you will oversee the daily distribution of aid and manage volunteer teams, ensuring that proper safety procedures for effective aid distribution are in place, communicated, and consistently applied. You will also contribute to warehouse operations and logistical planning.

You will be part of Care4Calais' core team in France and report directly to the Head of Field Operations in France. The role requires a proactive, hardworking individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to make quick, compassionate decisions in a fast-paced environment. While this is a challenging position, you will receive a thorough induction and work alongside experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide core operational support for Care4Calais’ operations in northern France.
• Support the logistics and purchasing department to manage new and second-hand clothing stock and assist with operational planning for field activities.
• Oversee and deliver Care4Calais’ NFI aid distributions and services to people on the move at the French/British border.
• Manage and support teams of up to 40 volunteers daily to provide services in Calais and Dunkirk, including leading daily briefings and safety training.
• Support the smooth running of a warehouse and donation storage facility.
• Work alongside a small staff team to develop processes, procedures, and documentation to improve the operational efficiency of Care4Calais’ humanitarian work.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

• Experience working or volunteering in a humanitarian context, with human rights organisations, or with refugees and asylum-seeking individuals.
• Experience managing projects that involve risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, and compliance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to a wide audience.
• Experience managing warehouse operations or complex logistical and purchasing projects.
• Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English and at least B2-level proficiency in French.
• Strong digital literacy, including the ability to use Google Workspace effectively.
• Full, clean driving licence and experience or willingness to drive vans.

Desirable Criteria:

En tant que coordinateur des opérations, vous superviserez la distribution quotidienne et gérerez les équipes de bénévoles, en veillant à ce que les procédures de sécurité nécessaires à une distribution efficace soient en place, communiquées et appliquées systématiquement. Vous intégrerez l'équipe principale de Care4Calais en France et serez directement rattaché(e) au/à la Responsable des Opérations Terrain France. Ce poste requiert une personne proactive et déterminée, dotée d’excellentes compétences organisationnelles et capable de prendre rapidement des décisions, avec bienveillance dans un environnement en constante évolution. Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un poste exigeant, vous bénéficierez d’une formation approfondie et travaillerez aux côtés de membres expérimentés de l'équipe.

Principales responsabilités

• Fournir un soutien de base aux opérations de Care4Calais dans le nord de la France.
• Assister le service logistique et approvisionnement pour gérer les stocks de vêtements neufs et d'occasion et aider à la planification des activités sur le terrain.
• Superviser et fournir les distributions d'aide humanitaire et les services NFI de Care4Calais aux personnes déplacées à la frontière franco-britannique.
• Gérer et accompagner quotidiennement des équipes de 40 bénévoles maximum pour fournir des aides à Calais et à Dunkerque, notamment en réalisant des briefings quotidiens et des formations à la sécurité.
• Participer au bon fonctionnement d’un entrepôt et d’un centre de stockage de dons.
• Travailler aux côtés d'une petite équipe pour développer des processus, des procédures et de la documentation afin d'améliorer l'efficacité du travail humanitaire de Care4Calais.
• Participer à des réunions externes, établir et entretenir des relations avec les partenaires et les principales parties prenantes, afin d’assurer le bon déroulement des opérations de Care4Calais.

Expériences requises :

Critères essentiels :

• Expérience professionnelle ou bénévole dans le domaine humanitaire, auprès d’organisations de défense des droits de l’homme ou auprès de réfugiés et de demandeurs d’asile.
• Expérience dans la gestion de projets impliquant la gestion des risques, la santé et la sécurité, la protection et la conformité.
• Solides compétences en expression orale et écrite, y compris la capacité de transmettre des informations de manière claire et concise à un public large.
• Expérience de gestion d’entrepôt ou de projets logistiques et d’approvisionnement.
• Excellente maîtrise écrite et orale de l'anglais et maîtrise du français au moins au niveau B2.
• Solides compétences numériques, y compris la capacité d’utiliser efficacement Google Workspace.
• Permis de conduire B (complet et valide) et expérience ou volonté de conduire des camionnettes.

• Maîtrise d’une ou plusieurs des langues parlées au sein des communautés de demandeurs d’asile, telles que l’arabe, le farsi, le pachto, le dari, le kurde, le sorani, le tigrinya ou l’amharique.

Purpose of the Role

The Business Development Lead will play a critical role in driving the financial sustainability of Child’s i Foundation. This person will lead efforts to secure new income, grow existing partnerships, and strengthen supporter engagement. This role combines strategy and execution and is ideal for someone with a passion for social justice, a flair for building relationships, and experience in both fundraising and donor communications. The role will report into our Chief Executive Officer. 

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Income Generation

• Develop and execute the fundraising and income generation strategy across diverse streams including:
  • ​Trusts and Foundations
  • Corporate Partnerships
  • Major Donors
  • Regular Giving
  • Campaigns and Events (UK & Uganda)
  • Track investment in partnership with Finance Manager
• Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities aligned with Child's i mission, values and strategic objectives. 
• Lead proposal writing, donor reporting and relationship management for high-value funders and partners.
• Work closely with the CEO and Board to unlock networks and steward strategic relationships

​Supporter Engagement & Communications

• Oversee supporter care and stewardship, ensuring timely acknowledgements and meaningful engagement.
• Manage and work with the comms team to develop content for digital fundraising platforms (website, social media, and email).
• Guide the comms team to develop compelling supporter journeys and storytelling that reflect the voices of communities we work with.
• Oversee the development of newsletters and donor communications that build long-term loyalty.

Operational Fundraising Management

• Oversee donation processing, database management, and tracking of fundraising KPIs.
• Coordinate with UK and Uganda teams to align messaging, campaigns, and compliance.
• Provide strategic oversight of volunteer-led and community fundraising initiatives.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Line manage junior fundraising support if applicable.
• Work collaboratively with programme, comms, finance, and impact teams to ensure donor requirements are met and learning is shared.
• Contribute to organisational learning on ethical fundraising, locally-led development, and shifting power to communities.

Person Specification

Essential

• Proven experience in business development and fundraising (minimum 3 years), ideally in the social impact or NGO sector. 
• Track record of securing income from trusts, foundations, or major donors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Strong relationship-building skills, from individual supporters to institutional donors.
• Organised, proactive, and adaptable, able to juggle multiple priorities in a small, fast-moving team.
• Commitment to Child’s i’s values and vision, and to ethical fundraising grounded in dignity and equity.

Desirable

• Experience working in East Africa or with Global South-led organisations.
• Familiarity and confidence with use of CRM systems. We use Beacon. 
• Understanding of child protection, care reform, or community development sectors.

Westway Trust is seeking an enthusiastic part time Gardener who will take immense pride in the maintenance and development of the grounds and gardens across the Trust's 23 acres of land. You will be an effective, efficient and safety conscious gardener who ultimately will ensure the Trust's grounds and gardens and green spaces are always kept healthy and beautiful. This role will be critical to ensuring management of a vibrant, diverse and thriving estate.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Gardening duties will include: Planting, monitoring the health of all plants and green spaces, watering and feeding plants, pruning trees and shrubs, fertilising and mowing lawns, weeding, dealing with pests and diseases, and keeping green spaces and walkways clean and clear of debris and litter / waste. 
• Working as part of the Grounds and Gardens team to maintain and improve soft and hard landscaping on Trust land as directed.
• Assisting in keeping Westway Trust’s land clean and tidy and reporting any damage.
• Co-operating with the Facilities Team, Events Team and other Westway Staff to deliver support to events as part of the wider organisation.
• Welcoming volunteers and community groups onto the estate to learn from the Grounds and Gardens team.
• Ensuring all relevant Health and Safety standards are adhered to with regards to personal safety, and the safety of members of the public using the gardens.
• Being responsible for the proper use, maintenance and safe storage of all plant, machinery, tools and equipment such as leaf blowers, strimmers, hedgecutters, graffiti removal equipment and mowers.
