Community Engagement Lead
Bible Society believes the Bible is God’s gift for God’s world. We share it because we believe it changes lives for good. We want Christians to be confident in the Bible’s truthfulness and reliability, and we want to change how people talk about it in wider society and invite them to see it as a source of wisdom and joy.
Could you use your experience and passion for people to help ensure the Bible reaches the lives of those who are marginalised or facing difficult circumstances? As our Community Engagement Lead, you’ll shape and deliver programmes across England and Wales that increase access to and engagement with the Bible, with a particular focus on prisons, refugees and asylum seekers, and economically disadvantaged communities. You’ll build strong partnerships with churches, Christian networks and other organisations, manage community initiatives and funding, and help develop strategies that turn our mission into meaningful, measurable impact. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, relational and highly organised individual who wants to combine excellent programme management with a genuine heart for Bible mission.
If this sounds like you and you have the legal right to work and remain in the UK, we’d love to hear from you. Please provide your CV and a 250-word statement that sets out your motivation and relevant experience for the job. For the purposes of your cover letter, we ask that you do not use AI-generated content. We would like to hear your own thoughts, experiencesand motivations in your own words.
