About the role

RAID has 4 main advice areas: Information Navigation, Benefits Advice, Energy Advice and Money Advice. The Cost of Living Crisis has disproportionally impacted Disabled people, who are more likely to face higher living costs, barriers to employment and reduced financial resilience, making it harder to cope with rising household expenses. Many of the people we see are in challenging situations; struggling with debt, experiencing food and fuel poverty, facing homeless and dealing with loneliness and isolation. The work can be emotionally challenging.

As well as our advice work we administer a number of grants on behalf of local grant giving charities and the local authority and you will play a key role in helping us to process grants in a timely and efficient way as well as supporting with advice enquiries.

Our teams are busier than ever and this role will play a vital part in supporting the team with administration tasks including; processing grants and gathering client evidence, taking client enquiries from the phone, website and email and uploading them to our database, scanning and photocopying.

You will spend your time working directly with clients with a range of physical, sensory and mental health impairments to help them to fill in grant allocation forms and other forms and helping people to know their rights. You will also support our advice teams administratively; arranging appointments, sending emails and letters and uploading information to our database

You will receive training in a range of advice areas (housing, health and social care, benefits, transport and travel) as well as other relevant topics such as various mental health conditions, managing challenging behaviour, professional boundaries, and case management. You will be supported by a friendly team of experienced advisers who will have the opportunity to shadow and you will also have access to a range of external training and development opportunities.

You will need to have clear written and oral communication skills as you will need to make phone calls and write emails and letters to clients as well as providing progress updates to the team.

You will work closely with our experienced advice team and we can offer opportunities for training and development in a range of areas including social care, housing and benefits to support you on your journey to becoming and advisor.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have solid administration and organisational skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and a level of emotional resilience that enables you to support people in challenging circumstances, while protecting your own wellbeing. You will have strong communication skills across all levels and will be a real team player with a genuine interest in supporting Disabled people.

An interest in developing advice skills in essential and experience or a background in advice and information will be an advantage.

You will have excellent communication and IT skills, administrative skills and be fully competent on Microsoft applications. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

The role

We need someone to take on the day-to-day running of Kairos Housing. 

What you'll be working on

• You'll oversee our properties — maintenance, repairs, standards and compliance — as we grow from five homes to seven.
• You'll manage rental income and housing benefit applications from start to finish.
• You'll line manage two part-time colleagues and our volunteers, and coordinate the support our guests receive.
• You'll hold hard conversations with our guests around: arrears, house rules, and occasionally asking someone to leave.
• You'll build partnerships with councils, contractors and other charities, and work with our CEO and trustees on the charity's growth.
• You'll hold our Christian ethos — leading staff prayer and devotionals, building partnerships with local churches, and being available for prayer when asked.

Key details

Partnership Coordinator 

Salary: £28,860 per annum (subject to an annual salary review)

Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months (possibility of a contract extension / change to a permanent contract in the future subject to funding and business need)

Location: This is a blended-working role with two days per week at our office in Finsbury Park (Tuesday-Thursday) during term time and the flexibility to work from home during school holidays. Occasional travel to schools and events will be required. 

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00 from Monday to Friday. 

About the Role

The Partnership Coordinator role is varied, offering the chance to develop a wide range of skills. Responsibilities include managing local Hubs, delivering programme and network activities, supporting events and meetings, and participating in recruitment and retention activities.

Working closely with school and trust leaders and Hub Managers, you will need excellent relationship management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Strong evaluation and data management skills would also be an advantage.

This position requires individuals who are self-motivated, organised, detail-focused, and strong communicators. 

We are looking for a new colleague to focus on account managing some of our local Hubs, and supporting recruitment and retention of schools and trusts. This would account for about 60-80% of your time. The remaining time will be spent on delivering our programmes and networks, ensuring a great experience for our partner schools, supporting knowledge exchange, and handling general partner queries.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Partnership Experience Manager, the Partnership Coordinator will have the following key areas of responsibility and will be expected to undertake other responsibilities commensurate with the role as requested:

1.Programme and Network Delivery 

• Provide year-round support to local Hub Managers to ensure schools receive necessary support.

• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including resolving operational issues and escalating as needed.

• Support the planning and delivery of programmes and networks, including scheduling dates, organising training sessions, and other activities.

• Support the organisation and delivery of programme-specific and national events.

2.Partner Relationship Management

• Work with the Challenge Partners Central Team to ensure an excellent experience for partners and help schools maximise their partnership value.

• Troubleshoot and respond to school or trust queries through internal customer care systems.

4.Communications

• Respond to email and phone queries about Challenge Partners, programmes, networks, and Hubs professionally and promptly.

• Collaborate with programme, network, and partnership leads to provide high-quality communications to partner schools, including renewals, induction, onboarding, engagement emails, and Hub updates.

• Play a leading role in the delivery of the half termly Partnership newsletter, using data to evaluate engagement and make further improvements. 

5.Recruitment and Retention

• Support year-round recruitment of schools to the Network of Excellence, working with hubs to deliver introductory events.

• Provide updates on schools in your Hub to inform retention campaigns.

• Manage leads and connect new schools with local Hubs. 

• Support the tracking of sign-ups throughout the recruitment period, providing regular data updates to the wider team.

ROLE SUMMARY

upReach is seeking to hire an Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with upReach’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on strategic projects, internal communication, governance, and other internal and external initiatives.

The role will provide direct support to the SLT, building their capacity and enabling the charity to continue to grow and increase its impact. They will support the collection of key data for strategic decision making and take responsibility for regular and accurate reporting to our Boards, whilst also leading on the planning and delivery of several key projects. Projects they work on will include exploring how to best to deliver on upReach’s national development, and coordinating the cohesive delivery of work that falls under the umbrella of our ‘Double Benefit’ approach.

Whilst Governance and the support provided to the SLT will remain consistent in this role, organisational initiatives will change over time, depending on where it is agreed with the SLT that the ROI is greatest and can best achieve upReach’s overarching mission.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager will report to the Director of People and Strategy and work on initiatives and projects that the SLT believe will help us to best achieve our mission. In addition to this, the Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager will also work closely with the SLT to provide governance and operational support. This will include coordinating with Trustees to organise the yearly calendar of governance events and preparing papers for Trustees, Advisory Board and Services meetings, including the Annual Report. 

This role will require influencing and collaboration in order to deliver upReach’s mission through a range of stakeholders across the team.

Core responsibilities will include: 

1) Strategic Projects & Organisational Initiatives

• Be the operational driver of organisational initiatives, as agreed on by SLT, that have an impact on the success of upReach’s mission and our impact on Associates across the country. 

  • Projects may be outward facing or operational in scope, depending on what is deemed to be of most importance at the time. They may also be at different stages in their life cycle, and as such, the role may require initial exploration phases, creation of implementation plans and the coordination of different teams to complete and assess success, as required by the specific initiative.

• Attending meetings and following up with key stakeholders to ensure the completion of relevant projects to a high standard.

• Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to gather and report key information, along with recommendations, to the SLT or other senior managers.

2) Governance & Leadership Support

• Preparing papers and required documents for Trustees, Advisory Board and Services meetings, including the yearly Annual Report. 

• This may also include supporting internal communications and calendar management for the SLT (for example, organising the yearly governance calendar). 

3) National Development & Expansion

• Be the champion for upReach’s national development strategy, ensuring there is understanding and buy-in across the team regarding the importance of upReach’s growth outside of London with respect to social mobility coldspots and existing regional presence and tracking OKRs related to this.

• Drive plans regarding how best upReach can expand its work in Scotland. Having recently successfully registered as a Scottish charity we are exploring what expansion could and should look like, and this role will work on the practicalities regarding how upReach can sustainably support more students in Scotland. Pending approval of plans from the SLT and Board, the role would lead on enacting the agreed upon approach.

  • Liaison with relevant departments to collaborate on prospect fundraising, university and employer partnerships, as well as student attraction and onboarding activities, will be required as part of this initiative. 

4) Double Benefit Approach

• Have oversight of a cohesive, deliberate programme of Double Benefit effective practice at upReach, working across teams to do so. This will include:

  • Supporting the Events team in the creation of the agenda and delivery of the annual Championing Change event in collaboration with Bank of America, bringing together employers across industries to promote inclusion and social mobility.

  • Support work on policy being led by the Marketing and Communications Team to ensure it is cohesive with our wider Double Benefit approach.

  • Coordinating with the Partnerships team regarding use of our Employer Engagement Toolkit and any bespoke consultancy or training requested. 

This role will also provide line management for 1-2 members of our Future Charity Leaders Programme one day per week, as they work on a six month ‘rotation’ in the areas described above.

•To proactively build and maintain partnerships with relevant organisations particularly those who work with vulnerable families to co-produce and collaborate in developing resources and programmes to reduce infant mortality.

•To build relationships with local professionals in order to support local campaigns to reduce SIDS deaths, sleep related accidents and infections in babies.

•To ensure the Lullaby Trust’s work reflects the public health agenda across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

•To work with the Policy and Research Manager reviewing external health and social documents/policy.

Design and deliver training

•To be lead the Training Team Working Group and chair meetings.

•To lead and work to deliver the training strategy by creating and promoting evidence-based online training packages aligned with public health priorities to a range of professionals working with families and babies vulnerable to sudden infant death which enables confidence to have meaningful conversations with families. 

•Plan, develop and record online webinars and presentations for families and babies vulnerable to sudden infant death and on bereavement support in line with the Training Strategy

•Use national and local data to create and deliver training packages which is responsive to need, SUDI and safeguarding reports and investigations and CDOP themes.

•To meet and liaise with outside organisations to deliver showcase training packages.

•To ensure training is evaluated and adapted/developed

•To work with engagement team to ensure training is promoted.

Create and assist with development of online and printed information resources particularly aimed at those vulnerable to sudden infant death.  

•Assist with checking accuracy of safer sleep info posts on social media and -participating in Q&As.

•Create resources specifically aimed at families and babies vulnerable to sudden infant death.

•Develop resources and tools for professionals working with families to have meaningful conversations and support safer sleep messaging.

•Develop resources for professionals that translate evidence and research into good standards of practice.

•Review and update website text and social media messages on safer sleep in conjunction with the engagement team.

Proactively engage families with Lullaby Trust advice, responding to enquiries and ensuring anyone seeking advice is given a high-quality service in a timely way

•Manage the cover and answer information enquiries including helpline and online, on safer sleep responding within the set guidelines and KPIs for the department.

•Manage and facilitate the Young Parent Panel and New Families Panel in collaboration with other specialist organisations and charities; keeping in contact, recruiting new members, arranging meetings, focus groups and user testing and feedback on resources and activities.

•To be a representative for media work promoting safer sleep advice, including radio, tv, pre-recorded and live media.

•Work with other teams to reach more families including on projects focussing on high risk groups and under-represented families.

•Ensure any safeguarding concerns are actioned in accordance with the organisation’s Safeguarding Policy.

To manage and supervise the Support and Training Officer and the Training Development Officer

•To supervise and set priorities for the Support and Training Officer, following Lullaby Trust processes.

•To provide regular support and supervision to the Support and Training Officer.

•To attend regular meetings of the Lullaby Trust Management Team.

•Deputise for Support and Information Team when needed.

Main Responsibilities 

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to coordinate our accreditation scheme. The role will work with our network of employers, and support new organisations through the accreditation process. 

The Programme Officer will support our work across the South East and support our managers to grow and deepen engagement with Living Wage Employers through our associated schemes. You will help to ensure our resources and publicity materials are well written and up-to-date, and to coordinate events to grow our employer network. 

Working as the Programme Officer for Citizens UK, reporting to a Programme Manager, your main responsibilities will include: 

Contribute towards the achievement of CUK and LWF’s strategic objectives

Understand how the role contributes to LWF’s purpose and the core mission of CUK

Reliably implement CUK’s and LWF’s policies, procedures, and values in own work

Work with CUK community organisers and leaders to promote civic engagement with and ownership of the Living Wage campaign 

Feed into the LWF strategy and objectives development 

Living Wage Accreditation 

• Support key contacts at potential LW Employers through the accreditation process, from dealing with initial enquiries to guiding them through the employer journey, to checking and processing their accreditation 

• Develop rewarding relationships with key employers, industry, and campaign partners within our networks to build interest in the Living Wage and deliver a high-quality experience to our accredited employers 

• With support from the wider team, develop plans and strategies to grow the number of accreditations in specific regions or industries 

• Collate and disseminate Living Wage criteria and policy issues through both internal and external facing guidance, whilst reviewing and monitoring its suitability 

• Support the development and implementation of projects to promote and grow Living Wage accreditations and develop the quality of service offered 

Build and manage projects and achieve work targets effectively

Successfully progress projects and tasks incl. tracking performance and expenditure 

Deliver agreed areas of the LWF’s work plan and leading on agenda items to report into team meetings.

Support the growth and development of new and existing Living Wage schemes incl.  Recognised Service Providers, LW Funders, LW Places, Living Hours, Global Living Wage and Living Work Consultancy 

Deliver personal work targets on time and to standard: 

• Respond to telephone and web-based enquiries by providing advice and support to employers and supporters 

• Provide administrative support for all aspects of the accreditation journey, incl. processing accreditations, recognitions, and renewals 

• Maintain LWF data on systems, incl. Salesforce employer database

• Support the maintenance of our systems to ensure efficient processes and develop reporting mechanisms for effective monitoring and evaluation of our impact and progress against plans 

• Coordinate and administrate Steering, Advisory or Leadership Groups as required, incl. coordinating agendas, sending out timely papers, taking minutes and following up on actions
