Family Hubs are a central tenet of the Salford City Council’s Family Partnership Early Help Service, which was established in 2017. Following a full service review, redesign and, public consultation, Salford City Council’s Early Help services for children, young people and their families aged 0-25 (family support, children’s centres, youth service) were brought together and Children’s Centre sites were re-positioned as Family Hubs.

There are currently 4 Family Hubs in the city, offering integrated services and support for families at a neighbourhood, place-based level. The Family Hubs enable integrated delivery and co-location of services such as Salford City Council’s early help teams, 0-19 health teams, youth service teams, schools’ coordinators, school readiness advisors, Area Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators, early support key workers and portage workers.

The range of services delivered through the Family Hubs includes antenatal and postnatal support, child health, early help, relationship support, parenting support, SEND provision (neurodevelopment pathway, early support, and portage), adult and child mental health support (including parent, infant mental health). Salford City Council’s Family Partnership Early Help Service took the Family Hub model to the next level of development through co-production and participation with a focus on engagement with the VCSE sector and the development of a volunteering programme, this programme of work is delivered by Salford CVS.

As a result of the partnership with Salford CVS, there has been an expansion to the existing Family Hub network to include a range of VCSE sector organisations which has built the capacity to enhance the Family Hub offer and ensure that Family Hubs are sustainable and owned by the communities they are located within.

About the role
In this role you will take on day to day responsibly for carrying out core company secretarial activities and related corporate governance responsibilities. Our 16+ Older Looked After Young People (OLYP), Care Leavers and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) services delivers specialist 24-hour supported accommodation where young people are supported to acquire the necessary skills in preparation for living independently, safely explore their increased freedom of choice and develop responsibilities associated with adulthood, whilst still having the appropriate level of support from an experienced team.

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and support residents into independent accommodation. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Cook Road, Horsham team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living. 
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community. 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance). 

General 

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice.

Senior Events Executive, Global’s Make Some Noise

This is a rare opportunity for someone with a minimum of 1-2 years events experience looking to take the next step and expand their skills by working on a diverse range of events ranging from our high profile celebrity fronted gala Global’s Make Some Noise Night, to stewardship events at incredible venues including Downing Street and The House of Lords to breakfast events in Global’s Leicester Square office. • To support the Senior Events Manager with financial management of each event, supporting on areas such as: budgeting, planning, controlling and monitoring expenditure as appropriate and managing income against targets, KPI’s and provide regular revised projections as required.

• To maintain good practice in the use of database system ensuring that information is recorded accurately to allow for excellent supporter care, stewardship and accurate analysis of event performance.

• To keep up to date with current competitor activity, potential new opportunities for events and improved ways of managing and developing events.

You'll be accountable for developing and implementing contract management frameworks, as well as undertaking regular performance reviews.

As we embark upon delivering our Tenants at Heart Corporate Plan 2025-2030, our whole focus is to put the tenant at the heart of what we do. Tenant involvement is a key part of this role; gaining their insights and support when services are procured, and ongoing monitoring, through inspections and customer satisfaction. You'll be responsible for ensuring tenants are kept informed about performance and variations to contracts, as well liaising with tenants to resolve issues and complaints. You'll also be responsible for providing performance related data for internal and external reporting.
