In this essential role, you will lead the development and delivery of our inspiring legacy and in-memory fundraising activities. You’ll help our supporters celebrate their loved ones, mark special occasions and make lasting contributions through gifts in wills. Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications, and supporter engagement, you’ll ensure that every supporter feels valued, informed, and connected to the impact of their gift.

Your responsibilities will include delivering Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s legacy marketing strategy and in-memory giving programme. You will steward legacy supporters and next of kin with empathy, care, and professionalism. You will also coordinate legacy events, campaigns, and communications with legacy pledgers. In addition, you will manage legacy administration, liaising with solicitors and executors to ensure gifts are handled sensitively and effectively.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a confident communicator with excellent written and interpersonal skills. You will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage sensitive and confidential information. Experience in fundraising, supporter care, or legacy and in-memory giving—or transferable skills from a relevant sector—will be essential. You will also be empathetic and supportive when working with bereaved individuals or those planning for the future.

Experience in legacy administration, event planning, or using CRM systems (e.g. Access Charity CRM, Raiser's Edge or similar) is desirable but not essential – we’re open to candidates who can demonstrate the right values, skills, and potential.
Basic DBS check is required.

Pensions

About the Role

We are recruiting a Manager to lead a remote team of IPS Grow Fidelity Reviewers working across England and Wales. Skills, experience and qualifications we are looking for include:

• Managerial and leadership experience: Substantial experience managing teams and projects to successful delivery of performance expectations; leading by example and supporting the team to translate research into effective on the ground practice.

To lead the effective and high-quality delivery of peer-led support for individuals on their recovery journey across the Borough of Haringey. This role will require dynamic, hands-on management of BUBIC’s team, encompassing staff, peer mentors, and volunteers, to meet key performance indicators and community needs.

You will represent BUBIC’s values in all aspects of your work, including strengthening existing partnerships and cultivating new community links. A flexible approach is essential, with regular night shifts and occasional weekend work expected to provide outreach and attend local events.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong, responsive leadership and day-to-day management of a diverse team.
   

• Represent BUBIC at external meetings, events, and forums to promote our ethos and strengthen partnerships.
   

• Offer regular supervision and line management to staff, identifying learning needs and supporting professional development.
   

• Monitor service performance against KPIs, continuously reviewing delivery and identifying areas for improvement.

Person Specification

Education and Training:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care.
   

• Demonstrable knowledge of drug use and its impact on individuals and communities.
   

• Familiarity with SMART Recovery, 12-Step Philosophy, harm reduction, and peer-led support.
   

Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in substance misuse or related services.
   

• At least 2 years’ experience managing teams in a community or substance misuse setting.
   

• Demonstrated success in supervising and developing staff to meet high standards.
   

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding adults and managing complex needs.
   

• Proven ability to form partnerships with agencies supporting excluded or marginalised groups.
   

• Excellent report writing, care planning, and case noting skills.
   

• Competence in psychosocial interventions, group facilitation, and key working.

About the role

The key purpose of the Coordinator role is to support the Senior Engagement Manager to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across Yorkshire and Humberside and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region.  We currently have three Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) in this region, so the postholder will be expected to work alongside the Senior Engagement Manager and coordinate the SLCs activity, focusing on the retention of the volunteers engaged and making sure the projects and work they are involved in, continue with success.

You will have the passion and ability to use your lived experience to influence change, for the benefit of blind and partially sighted people. As an experienced Coordinator, you will engage and support Sight Loss Council members in the implementation of the region’s business plans to bring about change across transport, health and the built environment, as well as areas of local interest such as arts and culture or retail.

What you will be doing

• Be the primary contact for supporters, patients, and families and offer excellent service to supporters through various communication channels. 
• Develop strong internal relationships to enhance fundraising efforts and support Marie Curie activities. Help identify and engage new supporters.
• Record, bank, and process supporter income in line with Marie Curie policies. Maintain accurate financial and supporter records.
• Provide stewardship for Fundraising My Way participants, local fundraising groups, volunteers, and third-party eventers.
• Manage collection site bookings and permits, contact volunteers, dispatch materials, and ensure proper follow-up and record-keeping for collections.

• Good verbal and written communication skills demonstrating a sensitive approach 
• Good IT skills including Word processing, email and spread sheets and a working knowledge of databases
