Charity People are delighted to be working with Care Rights UK to recruit a brand-new Fundraising Lead, a pivotal role that will play a central part in shaping the charity's future growth and sustainability.

Care Rights UK is the charity focused on promoting the rights of older people in care.  The organisation wants the best quality of life for older people needing care and for people to know their rights, as well as how to use them.  Offering information, advice and support to empower those using care services as well as their relatives and friends, the organisation challenges poor care, highlights good practice and demands a better care system.

Fundraising Lead

Contract: Permanent

Reports to: CEO

Hours: Full-time or part-time considered

Location: Hybrid between home and the London office.  If hybrid, travel will be necessary to office-based team meetings in London and training days as required.

Having laid strong foundations for fundraising, Care Rights UK is now looking for an ambitious and proactive fundraiser to lead and grow income generation across the organisation. Working closely with the CEO and wider team, you will take ownership of developing supporter engagement, delivering fundraising campaigns and building a culture of fundraising across the charity.

As the charity's dedicated fundraiser, you'll have the opportunity to shape strategy, test new ideas and make a visible impact. This role will particularly appeal to someone who enjoys working in a small, agile organisation where creativity, initiative and collaboration are valued.

 About the Role

Working closely with the CEO and Trustees, the Fundraising Lead will take responsibility for implementing and delivering Care Rights UK's fundraising strategy, helping to build long-term financial sustainability and increase support for the charity's vital work.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Leading fundraising activity across a range of income streams, with an initial focus on individual giving and corporate partnerships.
• Developing and delivering fundraising campaigns to attract, engage and retain supporters.
• Growing and strengthening relationships with individuals, communities and corporate partners.
• Building supporter journeys and engagement plans that maximise income and long-term support.
• Monitoring fundraising performance, reporting on progress and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Embedding a culture of fundraising across the organisation and working collaboratively with colleagues to showcase impact.

About You

We'd love to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• A proven track record of delivering successful fundraising campaigns.
• Experience and knowledge of corporate partnerships and/or individual giving
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience of budget management, planning, reporting and project management.
• The ability to work independently, think strategically and identify new opportunities.
• Passion for the mission of Care Rights UK and improving the lives of older people needing care.
