The role: 

You will lead the technical delivery and oversight of our Data Engineering work including the continued development, maintenance, reporting and support of FoE’s data assets.

On a day-to-day basis, you will oversee the management of our data model, including the import, export and integration of data with third parties.

Key Skills and Attributes: 

• You will oversee internal and external software development relating to data, using an Agile, iterative approach and seeking frequent customer involvement in changes. 
• Lead on the technical aspects of our organisational data strategy, working with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that data enables our work
• Contributing to data-driven decision-making processes, and collaborating cross-functionally with teams to address complex organisational challenges
• Use software development best practices to ensure the well-managed delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of our data systems. This includes our CRM, Data Warehouse and data flows to and from other systems and third parties.
• Improving the quality of changing processes through effective code reviews, coaching and training for team members, and ongoing monitoring and rectification of existing processes

The team: 

You will be part of the Data and Applications team, consisting of a Data and Applications Product Owner, two Business Application Specialists, yourself and a Data Software Developer. You will assist in developing and delivering the organisational data strategy, supporting projects relating to data improvement across the organisation, ensuring stakeholders and key users are involved in its planning and assisting with the prioritisation of the Data Engineering workload.

1. Overall strategic development and management of the Community Hub Programme

Manage and develop the Community Hub providing activities, personal development opportunities and information for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Line manage ESOL Coordinator with supervision and appraisals supporting their CPD

Work with the ESOL Coordinator and volunteers to develop activities and client engagement within the project.

Plan and ensure delivery of short courses, workshops and events either in house or facilitated by partners.  Promote local activity and encourage client participation in line with the requirements of the Big Lottery funding.

Oversee project activities in all venues ensuring practical and active implementation of all policies and procedures, particularly Health and Safety, Risk Assessments, and Safeguarding 

Work with Volunteer Coordinator to support and supervise volunteers to a high standard.

Manage Venue bookings

 

2. Collaborative work with and engagement of project partners and other agencies in the borough

Source and work with project partners on successful delivery of activities and events within the project and promotion of wider activities in the borough

We are looking for a Grants Management Lead who will manage part of ClientEarth’s existing grants portfolio and provide strategic direction within the team and across departments to ensure successful grant management delivery and fundraising.

Your new role
The Human Resources Division supports all people management activities across the school and is committed to delivering high-quality and customer-focused services. Reporting to the Director, HR Policy and Employee Relations, this post is responsible for maintaining existing HR policies and contributing to the development of new policy in consultation with a wide range of HR colleagues and stakeholders across the School.
This role also supports the development and implementation of key employee engagement and wellbeing projects. This includes playing an important role in developing and implementing initiatives and actions that emerge from staff feedback and annual benchmark reports. Policy Development:

• To stay informed of new legislative developments and ensure that appropriate revisions to HR policy are made accordingly, as well as working with the Director, HR Policy and Employee Relations to ensure that the wider HR Division is aware of the changes.
• To undertake appropriate policy benchmarking across the sector and with other leading organisations (both public and private).
• To support in ensuring that the university has a set of up-to-date and appropriate HR / employment policies and that these are accessible to staff and line managers, maintaining a regular programme of monitoring, review and improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience of working in a large HR department supporting a complex and diverse organisation
• Can demonstrate a sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR good practice, with experience of advising colleagues and managers on HR policy and procedure
• Experience of developing or contributing to HR policies across a range of topics
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience of servicing committees and/or organising events
• Experience of producing accurate minutes and/or meeting notes
• Ability to communicate in a diplomatic, tactful and courteous manner with a wide variety of people, at all levels, in the most appropriate format
• Excellent written skills i.e. ability to produce clear and professional policy, procedure and guidance documents
• Ability to exercise discretion and deal professionally with confidential and/or politically sensitive information

Job Summary
The Finance Business Partner in Volunteering is responsible for providing the first line of support and assistance with the development of financial plans, analysis of the financial performance and forecasts of the Adult Volunteering area, in order to provide high quality business insight to both support and influence strategic decision making by St John’s management teams. They will be a key member of the Financial Planning and Insight team to ensure delivery of the annual three-year budgeting process, that is aligned to strategic operational plans. This role will not only look after the Adult Volunteering part of the organisation but support some other overheads/areas within the organisation.

About You
You are a fully qualified professional accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Ideally you have gained experience in the charity sector and large complex organisations. You can demonstrate previous experience in a finance business partner role with a track record of supporting the end-to-end processes for in-year forecasts and annual budgets and three-year plans that are aligned to business strategy. You have significant experience in managing the day-to-day, monthly and annual production of management accounting processes. Chief Executive Officer
Location: East Suffolk office to be established
Salary: Circa £85,000

As the founding Chief Executive, the successful candidate will work with an experienced Board of founding Trustees to shape and lead the organisation in its crucial early years—building the charity, establishing the grant-making programme, and acting as the public voice for environmental action in the region.

In this role of Relationship Fundraising Executive, you will support delivery of the Fundraising strategy in our communities to grow income and support for Action for Children. The role is remote working but would suit someone living in the Central Region of England.

How you'll help to create brighter futures 

• Supporting the delivery of a range of fundraising campaigns and activities across the Central Region of England that provide significant income and are in line with the relationship fundraising strategy. 
• Assisting with the stewardship of local volunteer fundraising groups, organisations, clubs, businesses in the local area to encourage further involvement in our work.
• Manage the administrative set up and support of ‘Action Squads’, i.e. volunteer led fundraising groups to help them successfully fundraise and raise awareness. 
• Working across and attending challenge events to assist the stewardship and support for sports participants, who sign up to run, walk, cycle and skydive for Action for Children across the UK. 
• Demonstrate accountability to our supporters and volunteers through an open, honest, transparent, and consistent approach.
• Supporting the delivery of set financial targets and non-financial targets and outcomes locally.
• Ensuring expected income has been received and banked within the predicted timeframes. 
• Collaborate with colleagues from within Fundraising and other departments to maximise on opportunities. 
• Manage daily processes efficiently and effectively to ensure onboarding of supporters in a timely manner. 

Let's talk about you  

• Professional Institute of Fundraising qualification (desirable) or Membership of IoF (desirable).
• Experience of delivering successful fundraising activity to achieve income growth. 
• Proven experience of networking and of developing and stewarding.
• Maintaining excellent personal relationships with senior external and internal stakeholders, donors, and volunteers. 
• Proficient in the use of Raiser’s Edge or equivalent database 
• Managing challenging and demanding situations to ensure the delivery of all events and fundraising activities.
• Ability to project manage a team of volunteers to achieve against specific financial goals where appropriate. 
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite.

Cheshire West & Chester Council invites applications for the crucial Trees and Woodland Operations and Strategy Manager position within the Mersey Forest Team. This role is instrumental in advancing our landowner engagement and support services across the Mersey Forest area, in alignment with our long-term strategic plan, to create well-wooded landscapes that benefit people, nature, and a thriving economy.

The Mersey Forest, established in 1991, is a growing network of woodlands and green spaces across Cheshire and Merseyside. Over the past three decades, more than 10 million trees have been planted, transforming the landscape and providing numerous environmental, economic, and social benefits. This initiative has been at the forefront of promoting biodiversity, community engagement, and enhancing the well-being of residents, embodying a long-term vision for urban and rural regeneration. The Trees and Woodland Operations and Strategy Manager will play a critical role in continuing this legacy, contributing to climate adaptation efforts, and showcasing the value of our natural environment to people, nature and the economy, whilst championing the role that we all must play in protecting the natural environment, nurturing a wood culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development, execution and financial management of the annual Mersey Forest woodland establishment and Biodiversity Net Gain Programmes, developing and managing the delivery of a multi-year pipeline of projects
• Assist in formulating and implementing woodland management plans to uphold sustainable woodland management and conservation practices.
• Provide expert advice to local authorities, landowners, and other stakeholders on woodland establishment, management, and conservation, fostering collaborative relationships.
• Lead an annual multi-million-pound programme of Mersey Forest partnership planting schemes across the Mersey Forest area, ensuring compliance with the UK Forestry Standard and other regulatory guidelines. This includes leading and managing the woodland advisors, operations team and ecologist.
• Work closely with the Mersey Forest Director and various stakeholders, including the Forestry Commission and Natural England, to ensure clarity on the scale of sites requiring regulatory approval.

This position operates within a fully agile working framework, with a predominantly home-based working arrangement and an office base at Risley Moss, Warrington. The role of Trees and Woodland Operations and Strategy Manager presents a significant opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to one of the largest natural environment programmes in England, playing a leadership role at the local, regional and national levels.
