About the Giving Directorate and Net Zero Carbon Programme
The Church of England ministers to every community in England, and our mission and ministry is sustained and expanded through a culture of generous giving.
The Giving Directorate plays a vital role in equipping dioceses, parishes, and clergy with the tools and confidence to encourage generosity. Through strategic leadership, innovative resources, and collaborative partnerships, we aim to inspire giving that enables the Church to flourish in every community. We lead major funded projects that strengthen giving across the Church, ensuring that generosity is central to mission and ministry.
The Giving Directorate has four teams: Innovation & Insight (leading on innovations, the parish share project, data analysis and marketing); Parish Giving Scheme (giving mechanisms and technology); NZC Fundraising (including policy, philanthropy and gifts in wills) and Learning & Development (delivering training, mentoring, and equipping clergy and diocesan giving advisors, national and regional conferences, and developing online learning resources for parishes).
You will sit within the Net Zero Carbon Fundraising team which leads the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments to secure the significant additional funding needed to decarbonise the Church of England.
What you'll be doing
Legacies have historically played a transformative role for the Church of England - sustaining parish ministry, helping deliver the 30,000+ community projects run by parishes every year, conserving historic buildings and enabling important work for the future, including Net Zero Carbon projects. There is significant untapped potential for legacy giving to make an even bigger difference to our work, but awareness is uneven, and local church leaders often lack the training and resources to talk confidently about gifts in wills.
As the Gifts in Wills Manager, you will lead an ambitious new legacy programme to significantly expand the support and resources available for all parts of the Church of England to effectively encourage legacy giving. This will include creating new legacy giving resources that can be used by parishes, cathedrals and Dioceses as well as new training for local parish volunteers, clergy and senior leaders.
Gifts in wills have the potential for significantly enhancing the work of the church in caring for God's creation, being the culmination of a person's lifetime of commitment and care for the church and God's creation. The role will include specifically looking to develop NZC cases for support as a way to encourage gifts in wills, through linking the ongoing and perpetual care of God's creation with the long term impact of gifts in wills.
Through your work you will create a culture shift where legacy giving is demystified to become a natural part of Christian discipleship. The increased number and generosity of legacy gifts pledged and received will make a long-lasting impact on the financial ability of parishes, cathedrals, and dioceses to fund their ministry and social impact in the communities they serve.

About the role
Reporting in to the Government and Multi-Lateral Funding Manager, the Government and Multi-Lateral Funding Advisor will drive substantial growth in income and impact outcomes by actively engaging and cultivating strong relationships with existing and new Institutional funding partners, co-creating and bidding with our Multi-Country Cluster (MCC) and Global Programmes teams.
The role supports development and delivery of the government and multilateral funding strategy for Christian Aid positioning Christian Aid and its partners to secure multi-million awards to maximise impact.

- Build and maintain a forward opportunity pipeline for Christian Aid’s institutional funding, collaborating closely with CA Ireland to maximise funding growth.

- Collaborate across the Partnerships and Business Development Team and MCC BD Team on tenders and grants, leading bid preparation and ensuring alignment with funding requirements.

Would you like to help send donated medicines around the world to those who do not have access to live-saving medicines? IHP is recruiting a Logistics Officer to become part of our growing logistics team who coordinate the safe and responsible donation of medical products to where the needs are greatest, so that people don’t suffer needlessly from treatable illnesses.
As a Logistics Officer you will play an integral role in IHP’s work arranging the shipping of donated medicines and medical supplies, for example our essential health packs and antibiotics, ensuring their secure transportation to disaster hit and vulnerable communities such as Sudan and Gaza.

- Securing cost effective shipping quotes from some of the largest freightforwarders in the UK
- Preparing shipping documentation

The opportunity
- Permanent Contract

- £51,000-£65,000 FTE depending on experience with an extra uplift if the Deputy CEO duties are included
This is an exciting time to join CMF as we head into our new five-year strategy.
The role is being advertised as either the Head of Conferences and Training (HCT) as a standalone role, or as the HCT with the Deputy CEO’s duties included too. These additional duties are marked separately in the job description. As CMF’s Head of Conferences and Training, you’ll lead the vision and delivery of our national conferences and key equipping initiatives. You’ll design online and in-person spaces where Christian medics are strengthened in faith, sharpened in thinking, and sent out with renewed purpose.
You will also invest deeply in people: building and shaping teams, mentoring emerging leaders, and guiding our various medical networks. If you thrive on drawing out potential, raising up new voices, and fostering intergenerational ministry, you’ll find huge joy here.

UCB is looking for a proactive and hands on Prayerline Volunteer Support Lead to join our Prayerline team. Working with the Head of Prayerline you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, Scripture-based remote prayer ministry. This role combines spiritual leadership, operational oversight, and strategic data analysis to ensure Prayerline remains a place of safety, dignity, and spiritual growth.
You’ll oversee the volunteer support and system monitoring team, ensuring that every caller and volunteer experiences excellence in care, communication, and technology. You’ll also play a key role in shaping the future of Prayerline through data-driven decision-making and cross-departmental collaboration.
The successful candidate will have excellent administrative, problem solving and analytical skills; understanding the importance of how accurate data reporting informs improved service delivery. You will also need to be flexible in your approach as there will be occasional evening or weekend working to cover for team support and absence.
If you are passionate about seeing people’s lives changed through the power of prayer and have a desire to help us improve our service; if you have excellent communication skills and are proficient in expressing a narrative based on data analysis, then you could be the person we are looking for.
