The Diocese of Chester is seeking to recruit a Diocesan Environment Adviser to this exciting new, part time role. They will work with the newly formed Eco Diocese Group as they inspire, encourage and support individuals, churches and other Christian communities to cherish creation, live responsibly and speak up. In particular, they will enable greater and more effective participation in the Eco Church initiative by individual parishes and deaneries.
The successful candidate will have a developed understanding of a variety of personal, local and political responses to environmental challenges as well as experience of environmental engagement in a local church, school or other organisation.

Terms and Conditions
- Location: This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkstone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we seek to launch a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region. Up to two days a week in our Folkstone Office might be initially required.We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. This will be discussed at interview.
- Working Hours: This is a full time role (at least 36 hours per week, with 1 hour for lunch daily unpaid) but requiring some flexibility on the successful candidate to work additional hours occasionally some of which could be outside the normal business hours. Hours should be agreed with line manager.
- Travel: Flexibility will be required for working additional hours and travel to meet business needs (inlcuding overseas travel) or for travel/meetings on weekends or evenings.
- Annual Leave: Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year and 8 paid public holidays per year.
- Pension Scheme: Non-contributory (10% of salary).
- Probation: 6 months
- Notice Period: 3 months each.

IS THIS YOU?

The Diocese of Chester is seeking to recruit an Interim Ministry Support Officer, to cover the secondment of a key staff member for a period of 9 months. The post holder will:
- Provide interim support to the Diocesan Ministry Team with a particular focus on Initial Ministerial Training Phase 2 (IME 2) provision and support for those moving into Posts of First Responsibility.
- Administer and run the established programme of training for all curates in their first three years, including the organisation of end of year reports and the Assessment at End of Curacy process
- Ensure good pastoral care is offered consistently to all involved in IME2 and First Posts and endeavour to ensure the process is a positive experience for all involved
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be committed to collaborative ministry, with a proven ability to work well within a newly established and highly motivated team. The Director of Racial Equity is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and working with others to implement the Diocese’s work in identifying and addressing systemic racial disparities. They will work with other Diocesan departments to look at existing policies, guidelines and processes and develop decidedly anti-racist policies, guidelines and processes. They work with our Diocesan Racial Equity Unit (REU) to implement the Diocesan Racial Equity Strategy (DRES).
Key responsibilities
• Overseeing, co-ordinating, developing and implementing racial equity across the Diocese
• Developing and delivering relevant training and talks and engagement at parish level
• Liaising and networking with the national Church and other dioceses on racial justice matters

About the role
The role seeks to maximise Christian Aid's income by building relationships with trusts within the small trust mailing programme. The post holder will be directly responsible for securing approximately £400,000 in unrestricted, emergency and co-founding income though a small trusts and supporting with activity across the mid-value team (in which the role sits) including wider mid-value campaigns and stewardship activity.

This is an exciting opportunity for a major donor fundraiser to join CSW, to initiate and develop strong relationships with individuals and corporates who have the capacity to make significant donations to CSW and to steward these relationships towards deeper engagement with CSW year after year.
Key Responsibilities (a full list of responsibilities is listed in the Application Pack)
- Develop a Major Gifts strategy that delivers agreed income goals and leads to increased and multi-year financial commitments from Major Donors.
- Develop individual cultivation plans for Major Donors that provide opportunities for them to make impactful gifts, pray and campaign.
- Research and write funding proposals and cases for support and adapt as needed.
- Produce and send regular letters and reports demonstrating the impact of gifts.
- Develop relationships with a small pool of Corporates that leads to increased engagement and income generation.
The Person
You are an excellent communicator, self-motivated and passionate about enabling donors to channel their wealth to meet the greatest needs. You have strong inter-personal skills which you are able to use to build internal and external relationships. You are able to inspire people to make a difference through their giving and you are just as passionate about communicating the impact of their gift. You are proactive and willing to work well with others to achieve targets.

Essential Criteria (a full list of essential criteria is listed in the Application Pack)
- A minimum of three years’ major donor fundraising experience for a charity.
- Proven track record of securing five-figure and six-figure gifts from major donors.
- Experience of providing excellent stewardship to major donors.
- Excellent communication skills, especially verbal and written English
- Writing compelling funding applications/ proposals that match donors’ interests with CSW’s mission and activities.

We are looking for a Director of Movement Building to help us move towards a world where money shapes a fairer, greener future. Director of Movement Building role description (0.8 FTE)
- Lead the organisation’s movement building approach, seeking long-term transformational change to our financial system and wider economy through building the power of individuals, churches and Christian networks, as part of a wider social movement for a more just and sustainable future.
- Design, implement, and lead strategic initiatives and projects for a more just use of money, especially developing individual and church learning and action on the financial system and wider economy, managing people and budgets.
- Identify and deliver learning and action opportunities, including around how individuals and churches use their own money and on tax justice. Conduct training and produce written resources in a variety of media for churches and individuals to understand the financial system and wider economy and to take tangible action.
- Develop and maintain a reasonable level of expertise in areas including ethical finance, an overview of the financial system, Christian ethics, and adult/ lay education.
- Along with the ED, be an external face of the organisation, positioning JustMoney Movement as a leading voice on issues of faith and finance, through speaking engagements, media interviews, and developing strategic collaborations to broaden reach and deepen engagement.
- Support the ED in helping to deliver JustMoney Movement’s strategy to see money shape a fairer, greener world, including managing risk, and safeguarding the culture and values of the organisation.
- Deputise for the ED as required in leading, supporting and empowering the JustMoney Movement staff team in the delivery of their work; manage staff, contractors and volunteers as appropriate.
- Contribute to a robust impact assessment framework for our activities, to enable a solid evidence base to measure impact and evolve as a result, contribute to strong relationships with funders, and meet reporting requirements.
- Support efforts to diversify income and ensure the financial sustainability of JustMoney Movement, taking a lead on developing our commercial consultancy offer and contributing to our grant fundraising as required.
