The Director will also provide strategic level HR leadership to our 60+ UK based staff and 30 staff and their families overseas.

Reporting to the CEO, you will serve on the six-strong senior leadership team contributing to the wider organisational strategy and play a central role shaping the Christian culture of the organisation.

6.  Taking thelead on all HR related issues and acting as a trusted partner and guide to members of the Executive Team. (Leadership)

8. Maintaining a high level of legal awareness and ensuring HR legal obligations are maintained and our policy and practice is appropriate (Legal & Finance)

Requirements:

Education/Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent standard
• CIPD qualified (Level 7 - Chartered membership)

Experience:

• Proven experience in senior HR, management, and leadership roles

Terms and Conditions

• Location: This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkstone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we seek to launch a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region.  Up to two days a week in our Folkstone Office might be initially required.We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. This will be discussed at interview.
• Working Hours: This is a full time role (at least 36 hours per week, with 1 hour for lunch daily unpaid) but requiring some flexibility on the successful candidate to work additional hours occasionally some of which could be outside the normal business hours.   Hours should be agreed with line manager.
• Travel: Flexibility will be required for working additional hours and travel to meet business needs (inlcuding overseas travel) or for travel/meetings on weekends or evenings.
• Annual Leave: Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year and 8 paid public holidays per year.

This position will help us take the next big step up in how we engage with and serve our customers. Stewardship offers a broad range of services to the Christian community – Accounts Examination, Payroll Bureau, Charity Formation, Consultancy Helpline, Lending, a giving platform and Philanthropy Services. We are looking to extend our use of Salesforce to integrate the customer information from these different services.

This role will work with the Head of Enterprise Applications and a project manager to implement the staged roll-out of Salesforce components. Although the roll-out will be done in bite-sized chunks, those small components will sum up to a major shift in the organisation’s capabilities. You will also be optimising business processes, making Stewardship staff’s jobs simpler and more efficient. Once the system is up and running, you will manage its ongoing evolution. The Diocese of Chester is seeking to recruit an Interim Ministry Support Officer, to cover the secondment of a key staff member for a period of 9 months. The post holder will:

• Provide interim support to the Diocesan Ministry Team with a particular focus on Initial Ministerial Training Phase 2 (IME 2) provision and support for those moving into Posts of First Responsibility.
• Administer and run the established programme of training for all curates in their first three years, including the organisation of end of year reports and the Assessment at End of Curacy process

The Director of Racial Equity is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and working with others to implement the Diocese’s work in identifying and addressing systemic racial disparities. They will work with other Diocesan departments to look at existing policies, guidelines and processes and develop decidedly anti-racist policies, guidelines and processes. They work with our Diocesan Racial Equity Unit (REU) to implement the Diocesan Racial Equity Strategy (DRES).

The Treasury Manager plays a critical role in supporting Christian Aid to create a world where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty by overseeing all cash flows, ensuring the proper management of funds, and optimising financial returns. With responsibility for approximately £90 million in cash flows, this role is pivotal in safeguarding our financial resources and enabling our programs to make a real difference in the 37 countries we work.

About the role

The role seeks to maximise Christian Aid's income by building relationships with trusts within the small trust mailing programme. The post holder will be directly responsible for securing approximately £400,000 in unrestricted, emergency and co-founding income though a small trusts and supporting with activity across the mid-value team (in which the role sits) including wider mid-value campaigns and stewardship activity.

Your role

The People and Culture Manager post sits is in a People and Learning group which brings together all the people specialisms from across the organisation – UK HR, people in mission support, vocational recruitment, mission learning and organisational development - to ensure maximum coordination and to strengthen a culture of diversity, inclusion, empowerment, learning and collaboration across all our people.

This is an exciting opportunity for a major donor fundraiser to join CSW, to initiate and develop strong relationships with individuals and corporates who have the capacity to make significant donations to CSW and to steward these relationships towards deeper engagement with CSW year after year.

Key Responsibilities (a full list of responsibilities is listed in the Application Pack)

• Develop a Major Gifts strategy that delivers agreed income goals and leads to increased and multi-year financial commitments from Major Donors.
• Develop individual cultivation plans for Major Donors that provide opportunities for them to make impactful gifts, pray and campaign.
• Research and write funding proposals and cases for support and adapt as needed.
• Produce and send regular letters and reports demonstrating the impact of gifts.
• Develop relationships with a small pool of Corporates that leads to increased engagement and income generation.

The Person

You are an excellent communicator, self-motivated and passionate about enabling donors to channel their wealth to meet the greatest needs. You have strong inter-personal skills which you are able to use to build internal and external relationships. You are able to inspire people to make a difference through their giving and you are just as passionate about communicating the impact of their gift. You are proactive and willing to work well with others to achieve targets.

You are inspired by CSW’s mission and eager to play your part, through this role, in ensuring freedom of religion and belief for all.

Essential Criteria (a full list of essential criteria is listed in the Application Pack)

• A minimum of three years’ major donor fundraising experience for a charity.
• Proven track record of securing five-figure and six-figure gifts from major donors.
• Experience of providing excellent stewardship to major donors.
• Excellent communication skills, especially verbal and written English
• Writing compelling funding applications/ proposals that match donors’ interests with CSW’s mission and activities.

Ministry with St Nicholas Staff Team
o Liaising with the St Nicholas’ Children’s and Families’ Minister and the St Nicholas’ Women’s Minister and working collaboratively with them on various shared initiatives across the congregations
o Developing and promoting evangelism among women and families, including at midweek church-based ministries
o Developing links with local primary schools, especially Lady Boswell's Church of England Primary School, teaching the Bible in assembly and classroom settings when invited, and supporting Christian parents in school evangelism
o Being part of the wider St Nicholas’ Church staff team with weekly attendance at senior staff meetings, staff prayers and Sunday services

Are you passionate about the role Christians and churches can play in bringing about an economy that works for people and planet? The JustMoney Movement is a small organisation with a big vision. We are looking for a Director of Movement Building to help us move towards a world where money shapes a fairer, greener future. You will lead our movement building approach, equipping individuals and congregations to understand how we are connected to the financial system and wider economy, and to act to bring about change. You will develop strategic collaborations with denominations and organisations to maximise impact. You will be an experienced leader, helping to shape the strategic direction of our work, overseeing staff and resources within our small team, and deputising for our Executive Director.

Director of Movement Building role description (0.8 FTE)

• Lead the organisation’s movement building approach, seeking long-term transformational change to our financial system and wider economy through building the power of individuals, churches and Christian networks, as part of a wider social movement for a more just and sustainable future.
• Design, implement, and lead strategic initiatives and projects for a more just use of money, especially developing individual and church learning and action on the financial system and wider economy, managing people and budgets.
• Identify and deliver learning and action opportunities, including around how individuals and churches use their own money and on tax justice. Conduct training and produce written resources in a variety of media for churches and individuals to understand the financial system and wider economy and to take tangible action.
• Develop and maintain a reasonable level of expertise in areas including ethical finance, an overview of the financial system, Christian ethics, and adult/ lay education.
• Along with the ED, be an external face of the organisation, positioning JustMoney Movement as a leading voice on issues of faith and finance, through speaking engagements, media interviews, and developing strategic collaborations to broaden reach and deepen engagement.
• Support the ED in helping to deliver JustMoney Movement’s strategy to see money shape a fairer, greener world, including managing risk, and safeguarding the culture and values of the organisation.
• Deputise for the ED as required in leading, supporting and empowering the JustMoney Movement staff team in the delivery of their work; manage staff, contractors and volunteers as appropriate.
• Contribute to a robust impact assessment framework for our activities, to enable a solid evidence base to measure impact and evolve as a result, contribute to strong relationships with funders, and meet reporting requirements.  
• Support efforts to diversify income and ensure the financial sustainability of JustMoney Movement, taking a lead on developing our commercial consultancy offer and contributing to our grant fundraising as required.
