Job description

The purpose of this role is to support the development and delivery of high-quality digital resources across the Growing Faith Foundation, Young Leaders and FLOURISH programmes. The postholder will work collaboratively across these teams to create engaging digital content and help ensure resources are accessible, well-presented and effectively promoted.

Acting as a key point of liaison between the Growing Faith and FLOURISH teams and the National Society for Education's marketing and communications functions, the postholder will help coordinate content, champion good practice in digital communications and branding, and support the effective sharing of information and resources across teams.

Designing and implementing effective digital learning resources for pupils


Developing high quality digital resources for pupil curriculum programmes, sessions and free resources, with interactive and engaging content that supports pupils' learning journey.


Designing and developing the Learning Management System platforms, ensuring enhanced user experience and interaction.


Evaluating digital trends, educational developments and digital tools to inform digital design.


Supporting the use of interactive digital tools and features within online pupil programmes, working with relevant colleagues and systems to ensure an effective user experience.


Implementing effective digital marketing across the Growing Faith and FLOURISH team

Act as a point of contact for communications and marketing activity across the Growing Faith Foundation, Young Leaders and FLOURISH programmes.

Work collaboratively with the NSE marketing team to coordinate content and ensure alignment with organisational communications, branding and marketing processes.

Support the creation and delivery of digital content, including video and online resources, to engage schools, churches, families and young people.

Champion consistent branding, presentation and digital communications practices across the team's resources and programmes.

Maintain positive working relationships between programme teams and marketing colleagues, helping to facilitate effective communication and information sharing.

Receive and share relevant performance information, insights and engagement data from central teams to support informed decision-making across the programme areas.

Maintain awareness of emerging digital communication trends and social media platforms to help inform content development and audience engagement.

Ensure safeguarding, consent and data protection requirements are followed in the creation and use of digital content, including images, video and other media.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Building and maintaining a Virtual Learning Environment, including scripting, creating eLearning content, and instructional design methodology.
  • Knowledge of eLearning authoring tools and standards, e.g. H5P and Articulate
  • Developing interactive digital design content for school learning programmes
  • Developing support systems to enable effective user engagement

Skills & Abilities:

  • Creative and engaging communication and story-telling skills, both oral and written, communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders
  • High Proficiency in using a range of IT technology and media to create digital learning content.
  • Ability to create and edit digital media, particularly video and online content, for a range of audiences
  • Excellent problem solving skills and solution based approaches
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, and flexibility to deal with rapidly evolving priorities
  • Self-organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people
  • Clear enthusiasm for, and commitment to, the Church of England's vision for education

Education:

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Creating digital marketing materials using a range of Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Running social media marketing campaigns across a range of platforms
  • Experience of supporting marketing or communications activity within a multi-stakeholder organisation.
  • Experience of creating digital marketing materials using relevant design and content creation tools.
  • Awareness of social media platforms and their use in organisational communications.
  • Experience of interpreting and sharing engagement or performance data to support programme delivery.
  • Experience of creating digital materials focused on leadership, character development, collective worship, children's ministry or faith formation.
  • Knowledge or experience of GDPR and data protection requirements.
