About MAAC
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) funds and delivers a pre-hospital emergency helicopter-led service across the Midlands region (serving six counties). As well as being a charity, we are an independent health care provider that is rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our mission is to deliver exceptional pre-hospital care and lifesaving interventions through our helicopter-led emergency medical services. The Opportunity
As MAAC prepares for the planned departure of its current postholder, the organisation is seeking an exceptional Director of Finance to join the Executive Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Finance Director is a key member of the Charity’s Leadership Team, providing strategic financial direction across the Group (the parent charity and its trading subsidiary). This role ensures the organisation remains financially resilient, well‑governed, and strongly positioned to deliver its mission for the long term – through working collaboratively with the Chief Executive, Leadership Team and Board members.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Play a key role as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to organisational strategy and fostering strong cross‑department collaboration. Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and SLT to develop and maintain the three-year strategic plan, ensuring financial projections, assumptions, and scenario planning are based on accurate data and sound forecasting.
- Provide strategic financial leadership that supports long‑term sustainability, future growth, and the delivery of critical services.
- Build strong, transparent, and trusting relationships with Board members by delivering clear, relevant financial reporting and assurance (supporting Board members to carry out their governance responsibilities effectively). Manage the Audit and Risk Committee’s activities in conjunction with the Committee Chair
- Lead a high‑quality financial management function for the Charity and its subsidiary, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, governance requirements and accounting standards.
- Manage the full year-end audit cycle, ensuring schedules, reconciliations, and working papers are prepared to a high standard and delivered within agreed timescales.
- Oversee the timely preparation of monthly Group Management Accounts, ensuring high-quality financial reporting is supported by meaningful commentary, variance analysis, trend interpretation, and insights that enable informed strategic decision-making by the SLT and Trustees.
- Manage the relationship with the Charity’s external investment portfolio fund manager and independent investment advisors - ensuring the Charity receives high-quality professional advice on investment strategy, shareholdings, and cash allocation, and that all recommendations align with organisational objectives, ethical considerations, and risk appetite.
About You
You will be a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with substantial senior‑level experience and the credibility to operate confidently at Board level. Most importantly, you will embody strong values, show high emotional intelligence, and be genuinely motivated to contribute to MAAC’s mission. Charity sector experience is essential - with a thorough understanding of what it takes to promote financial best practice, control spend and assist with income generation in sizable Not-for-Profit environments. Critically, you will lead through expert technical skillsets and collaborative working —shaping direction, offering robust assurance, and operating as a trusted strategic partner to senior colleagues and Trustees/ Directors.

Policy Campaigns Officer
A permanent position has arisen as part of the continued growth of our campaigns work within our friendly Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns department. The Policy Campaigns Officer will play a key role in helping the charity deliver high-impact campaigns that mobilise supporters, influence policy, and raise awareness of issues relating to dementia research.
In this role you will support the Campaigns Manager to deliver integrated advocacy campaigns aligned to Alzheimer's Research UK’s strategic objectives. You will contribute to the coordination, development and implementation of activity that connects public mobilisation with policy and government influencing priorities.
You will bring proven experience of working on advocacy or policy-focused campaigns, or in a closely related field where influencing decision makers and engaging the public has been central to your work. You will understand how campaigning activity contributes to political or institutional change and will be confident supporting the delivery of campaign tactics across digital and offline channels.
This role is ideal if you are looking to build on existing advocacy or influencing experience in a collaborative team, contributing to campaigns that aim to deliver measurable policy impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign development and delivery
· Support the development and delivery of integrated advocacy and policy campaigns aligned to organisational priorities.
· Help design campaign plans, including objectives, audiences, tactics, timelines and evaluation measures.
· Deliver campaign activity and creative tactics across a range of channels, both digital and offline.
· Work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure campaigns are evidence-led, inclusive and aligned with organisational priorities.
· Monitor campaign performance and contribute to evaluation and learning.
· Act as a point of contact for work with external agencies and suppliers.
Influencing and supporter mobilisation
· Support efforts to influence decision-makers by mobilising supporters and amplifying public voices.
· Work with policy and public affairs colleagues to align public-facing campaign activity with political influencing messaging and objectives.
· Help build and maintain relationships with supporters, volunteers, partner organisations and coalitions.
· Assist with producing campaign briefings, messaging and supporter-facing materials.
Communications and digital campaigning
Work closely with communications and digital teams to deliver integrated campaign content.
· Support the development of email, social media and online action tools to engage supporters.
· Adapt campaign messages for different audiences, ensuring clarity, accuracy and impact.
· Contribute to content planning and delivery to maximise reach and engagement.
Events and engagement activity
· Support the planning and delivery of campaign-related events, both online and in-person.
· Represent the charity at relevant events, meetings and conferences as required.
· Assist with coordinating meetings and briefings involving supporters, stakeholders and internal teams.
· Liaise with colleagues, supporters and external partners to ensure effective delivery of campaign activity.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Experience of delivering campaigns, advocacy initiatives, or influencing activity aimed at shaping policy.
· Experience drafting materials intended to influence or mobilise external audiences (e.g. campaign actions and briefings, supporter emails, calls to action).
· Understanding of how public mobilisation aligns with influencing objectives and contributes to policy change.
· Experience of delivering digital campaigning tactics and coordinating in-person supporter mobilisation.
· Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues across different teams.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt complex issues into clear and compelling messaging.
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
· IT literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and digital tools.

Ways of working:
As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

The Role
CoppaFeel! is seeking an inspiring and strategic Fundraising Director to lead our fundraising activity and help to drive the next phase of our growth.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering our fundraising strategy, ensuring a strong, diverse and sustainable income portfolio that enables us to reach more people and move closer to a world where all breast cancers are diagnosed early. Leading and supporting a newly formed but high performing team, you’ll oversee new business development, high value corporate partnerships and outstanding stewardship of our supporters. Working closely with the CEO and colleagues across the organisation you’ll set ambitious targets, identify opportunities for growth and champion long term, values aligned partnerships.
CoppaFeel! has experienced a period of exceptional financial growth, increasing income from £1.6m to £7m in 5 years, driven in large part by the success of our partnership with Asda. This has placed the organisation in a strong and exciting position with the opportunity to build for the long term, diversify our income, and significantly increase our impact.
The Fundraising Director will provide bold, strategic leadership to shape the next phase of CoppaFeel!’s growth, evolving our fundraising model, reducing reliance on any single income stream and ensuring long term sustainability. This role is about setting vision, unlocking opportunity and embedding fundraising as a strategic, organisation wide function. While oversight of day to day fundraising performance remains important, this role is fundamentally future focused building resilience and driving innovation.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in our offices based in London Bridge. This role sits within our Senior Management Team and reports into the CEO.
Duties and responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Work as part of the CoppaFeel! SMT shaping the organisational strategy, culture and cross departmental ways of working
- Set and lead an ambitious, multi year fundraising vision aligned to CoppaFeel!’s organisational strategy and impact goals
- Develop and support the Fundraising Team in the delivery of the fundraising strategy to ensure long term sustainability and maximum impact
- Provide strong, clear and consistent leadership through a period of growth, transformation and increasing complexity
- Champion innovation, testing and learning across all fundraising streams to unlock new opportunities and audiences
- Work collaboratively across all departments to ensure that fundraising is integrated across the organisation and aligned with our organisational delivery
Governance
- Work closely with the SMT to develop strategic recommendations for the Board of Trustees and support effective governance
- Development of the 3 year budget, including regular reforecasting and longer term projections to inform investment and growth decisions
- Analyse and monitor the ROI of across all income streams, using insight to drive decision making!
- Take on fundraising related governance responsibilities, including attendance at Finance Committee meetings and contributing to the annual report.
- Provide confident, strategic leadership on financial risk, opportunity and sustainability
Fundraising
- Drive the delivery of CoppaFeel!'s growth strategy, including achieving fundraising targets across multiple fundraising streams
- Develop new strategies and adapt existing ones in response to external trends, audience insight and organisational priorities
- Support the Asda partnership at a strategic level, ensuring income is stewarded effectively and impact is clearly reported
- Oversee and empower the Department Heads in the implementation and optimitisation of the fundraising strategy
- Lead the diversification of income, reducing reliance on any single partner or activity and building a resilient, balanced fundraising portfolio Identify and develop fundraising opportunities that are accessible, inclusive and engaging for 18–24-year-olds and priority audiences
Sector representation
- Act as a visible ambassador for CoppaFeel! within the fundraising sector
- Build CoppaFeel!’s fundraising credibility through conference speaking, thought leadership, award entries and sector engagement
General duties of a CoppaFeel! employee

ABOUT THE ROLE
Team: Fundraising and Supporter Engagement
As the Database Officer, you will take responsibility for the administration of financial transactions from various internal and external sources. You will take the lead on import processes, working with stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured, tested and reviewed. You will be involved in the implementation of integrations between the platforms we use and our supporter database, from recommendations to testing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the BACS Direct Debit processes, from processing BACS cancellations to preparing payment requests and processing payments, maintaining accurate reconciliations.
- Overseeing all aspects of Gift Aid processing and ensuring accurate record‑keeping.
- Managing and improving data imports across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy, ongoing monitoring, reconciliation, and correct income coding.
- Producing data‑integrity reports, run routine audits, investigate issues, and recommend corrective actions to stakeholders.

We’re seeking a Communications Officer (Brand and Content) to join our fantastic Brand and Content team within the award-winning Engagement, Marketing and Communications department.
You’ll have an opportunity to play an active supporting role in the core team leading on the implementation and growth of our bold and impactful brand, launched less than two years ago.
You’ll also support the team with day-to-day brand management to ensure consistency of messaging and visual representation across all our content and the production of creative multi-purpose and multi-channel, audience-led content. The Food Manager plays a critical operational leadership role at FareShare South West (FSSW), ensuring that the charity maintains a consistent, safe and high-quality flow of food to community organisations across the region. Supporting the Head of Food & Membership, the post holder is responsible for managing day-to-day food supply, strengthening local sourcing, and building long-term relationships with suppliers and partners.
The role ensures that incoming food—whether from national or local sources—is compliant, well-managed and aligned with operational capacity. It plays a key part in the effective monitoring of stock, the food pipeline and logistics scheduling. The Food Manager leads local sourcing activity, expands food innovations such as frozen and re-labelling, and oversees key food-related projects including the regional Gleaning Programme.
Managing the Food & Community Officer and working closely with Operations, Membership, Fundraising and other internal teams, the Food Manager helps deliver FSSW’s food strategy, reduce waste, and maximise the impact of surplus food redistributed to frontline organisations.
1) Strategy, Performance & Team Management

THE CHARITY
Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle.
James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 4,300 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.
In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham, which will support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a new role in an expanding and dynamic organisation. It responds to our growing ambition to share what we have learned about suicide prevention and delivering services to men who are affected by inequalities.
We understand that for more men to be saved, we need others to take action too. And we need to make this case for change as compelling and impactful as possible to influence commissioners, NHS providers, or policy makers to save more men’s lives.
This role will involve leading the influencing strategy, building evidence-based policy positions, and executing powerful messaging to effectively demonstrate the impact of crisis intervention and the importance of extending this provision to more men across the country.
Overarching priorities
· To influence national and local systems leaders on the importance of rapid, equitable, accessible and tailored treatment and support for acutely suicidal men.
· To establish James’ Place as a leading and credible voice in innovative suicide prevention practice, reducing inequalities in access and in supporting men who other services aren’t reaching.
· To strengthen our evidence base and contribute insight and data to networks and partners who can grow its impact (such as organisations with larger influencing teams, media organisations, policy makers and think tanks).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
· Identify key actors and establish, lead and execute an influencing plan for the next 12 – 24 months, in line with the above priorities, emerging insight and changing contexts.
· Lead effective relationship and network building and management across charity, health and policy sectors.
· Adopt a holistic perspective with communications and fundraising colleagues, that is deeply informed by clinical practice and aligned with strategies for growth.
· Explore future partnerships to strengthen evidence base, impact and reach, with academics, think tanks, funders and policy makers
· Ensure James’ Place responds to emerging policy and influencing opportunities (such as men’s health, inequalities work, neighbourhoods, integrated health organisations, strategic commissioning and so on)
Delivery
· Represent James’ Place on external groups at parliamentary events and sector forums as appropriate, ensuring the charity’s position and the voices of men we treat are clearly and respectfully communicated.
· Monitor and respond to legislative and regulatory changes and lead consultation responses.
· Research and produce compelling policy briefings, consultation responses and evidence-based reports
· Champion accurate data collection, evaluation and insight across James’ Place, demonstrating how crucial this is for policy and influencing work externally.
· Fully brief and support the CEO and other senior leaders’ attendance at events, meetings and media work.
· Engage with researchers, evaluators and campaigners on what James’ Place knows and does so that they can represent and champion James’ Place effectively.
· Support senior colleagues to engage with the Board on matters of policy and influence.
· Undertake any other duties as required in pursuit of organisational success.
Charity-wide
· Work closely with services, clinical, fundraising and communication colleagues to deliver our strategy and business plans to meet our charitable objectives.
· Play a role across the whole organisation, offering support and demonstrating leadership across the charity, helping colleagues to grow and develop.
· Recognise the value of review and evaluation and contribute to the on-going development of James’ Place as a respected, effective and sustainable charity.
· Work with the team to build our understanding of men in suicidal crisis and how suicidal behaviour develops.
· Promote and demonstrate the highest level of safeguarding best practice.
· Deputise for senior colleagues and represent the organisation externally as and when required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
· Extensive experience in policy and influencing work at a senior level on a social or health issue, including mental or physical health, equity, or social justice.
· A strong track record of building and maintaining external relationships across sectors: government, NHS, public services, charities, academia or think tanks; healthcare experience is highly desirable
· Substantial experience of preparing and submitting consultation documents, position statements and advocacy materials.
· Strong communication skills, in writing and in person.
· Experience of working with quantitative and qualitative research and researchers, work with data and insight to make credible and evidence-based arguments.
· Practical, resilient, unflappable; an innovator, open to exploring new ways of working.
· Experience of working with people with lived experience of sensitive and personal issues.
Desirable
· Experience of public speaking.
· Experience of working with NHS commissioners or mental health services.
· Working with volunteers and people with lived experience of suicidality or inequality.

The Opportunity
As a key team member within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will play a vital role in creating, developing and delivering the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Programme and Social Mobility Employer Index - how we inform, influence and positively impact employer-led social mobility, and a source of income generation.
1. Delivery of the Social Mobility Employer Index
- Deliver the SMEI 2026, including but not limited to: marking entries, creating individual feedback reports for each entrant, creating sector reports for key industries, and gathering feedback to review and update the survey for 2027
- Maintain accurate and up to date information and process documentation, including the mark scheme used to mark entries, and the process followed to create feedback reports
- Support with the ongoing development of the digital platform, employer resources and online content, ensuring it is updated in line with the survey and delivers a smooth user journey
- Support with the annual monitoring and evaluation of the SMEI and its impact on employer-led social mobility
2. Stakeholder management and customer service
- Provide excellent customer service and stewardship to organisations entering the SMEI throughout the whole customer journey, e.g. preparing and sending regular communications and updates to prospective and live entrants, answering questions received into the SMEI inbox and troubleshooting independently
- Prepare and deliver feedback calls and presentations for organisations, including Lunch & Learns on social mobility, introductory calls on the SMEI, presentations and webinars about the SMEI, and providing detailed feedback calls on entrants’ performance in the SMEI
- Support with creating and developing assets and activities to market the SMEI and other products and services including webinars and social media assets
- Engage with external stakeholders, such as employers, policy experts and social mobility practitioners, to understand key issues and trends relevant to workplace social mobility
3. Quality standards
- Stay up to date with the latest research, evidence and on workplace and employer-led social mobility, communicating changes or updates with colleagues, as well as maintaining and updating the evidence base for the SMEI
- Support the annual evaluation of the SMEI and its impact on employer-led social mobility
4. Systems and processes
- Maintain accurate and up to date records, using SharePoint and our Salesforce CRM to support pipeline management, income tracking and partner records, namely for the SMEI
- Comply with internal policies such as data protection and our ethical fundraising policy, as well as external fundraising regulations and legal requirements
5. Team support and collaboration
- Collaborate across the team to ensure opportunities are aligned across all income streams
- Champion a collaborative and creative fundraising culture, building internal understanding, support and excitement in fundraising and partnership activities
