This wonderful charity supports the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s & Queen Charlotte’s Hospital – helping patients and their families, as well as enabling nurses and doctors to provide treatment and care.

As Fundraising Manager, you will be joining a small, friendly (and very busy) team and will be responsible for project managing an exciting portfolio of fundraising events, as well as overseeing key corporate partners to ensure income and engagement targets are met. This is an exciting time to take on this new & pivotal role within a small charity, working collaboratively and thinking strategically to ensure long-term objectives are met.

To be a Fundraising Manager, you will need:

• Experience in developing, implementing and managing project plans and achieving targets

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced fundraising Manager, with the drive and determination to manage all aspects of our fundraising function.  STADA has multiple fundraising streams.  You will be responsible for oversight and growth of voluntary and statutory funding income, trusts and foundations, corporates, the statutory sector (including government bodies) Starting from a strong foundation with multiple opportunities for growth, you will lead on the delivery of our ambitious, multi-year, multi-disciplinary fundraising strategy with an annual fundraising plan agreed with our Executive Leadership Team.  This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead fundraising activities.  The fundraising Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing an innovative fundraising strategy (in consultation with the Senior Leadership Team) which aligns with our organisational goals and values. About the role

• Supporter Engagement Specialist: Connecting with our BHF supporters through outbound calls.

Working arrangements

About the Role

This role is central to connecting supporters of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity with the challenge of their lifetime. The Challenge Events Fundraiser will promote events such as runs, marathons, abseils, bike rides and skydives. The role

Our recent growth and ambitious plans for the future mean that RLS needs to raise more sustainable funding than ever before. The new Fundraising Officer role will be central to this, playing a key role in the future of the organisation. 

You’ll work closely with the Fundraising Lead to secure the financial support to allow the organisation to thrive and fight alongside more people who need our legal support. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Researching, identifying and pursuing funding opportunities: you’ll proactively seek out and apply for funding opportunities to maximise income from trusts, foundations, and other relevant sources.

• Funder relationship management: you’ll build and nurture relationships with existing and potential funders, ensuring their continued support and engagement with our cause.

• Reporting and budget management: you’ll work with the Fundraising Lead to prepare detailed reports on fundraising activities, monitor progress against targets, and design budgets that align with our strategic goals.

• Drafting communications: you’ll draft compelling communications and fundraising materials, utilising your excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage donors and stakeholders.

• Supporting and leading other fundraising initiatives: you’ll contribute to the development and execution of various fundraising strategies, including individual giving and major donor engagement, to diversify and strengthen our funding base.

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Events Manager to lead on Media Trust’s 2024 calendar of fundraising and industry-facing events, including our upcoming 30th Birthday Fundraising Gala and support with other programme-related events.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable expertise in delivering successful fundraising and other events, working across multiple projects, and finding new and innovative ways to engage corporate supporters in fundraising events and campaigns. 

You will be part of the Volunteering & Events Management team and will manage a range of in person and virtual events, from fundraising events to corporate partner cultivation drinks, industry roundtables and large-scale volunteering initiatives. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver impactful high-quality events and ensure that all our events deliver against set targets.

This role would suit someone with a good understanding and experience of the UK charity sector and a passion for equalities and inclusion. We are looking for a strong candidate to take Media Trust’s event activity and fundraising to the next level to enable us to support more charities and underrepresented talent and engage more media and creative industry professionals in our work. 

Key responsibilities  

Events Management 

• Manage end-to-end delivery of Media Trust events, campaigns and projects of varying size, format and complexity, both in person and virtually

• Lead on the development and running of Media Trust’s 30th Birthday celebratory events, including but not limited to our Fundraising Gala, ensuring the fundraising target is hit or exceeded 

• Support the Programmes team and Media Trust Films team on delivery of events when necessary, including, but not limited to, Charity Challenge Days and Film Screenings 

• Provide a high standard of support to key stakeholders throughout the planning, execution and evaluation of each event 

• Develop and implement consistent processes, procedures and documentation for all events across Media Trust, including event timelines, agendas, speaker and staff briefs 

• Develop fundraising and sponsorship proposals to fund core events across Media Trust  

• Manage event budgets ensuring they are run cost effectively

• Maximise the profitability (where appropriate), sustainability and quality of all events 

• Act as first point of contact for stakeholders including corporate partners, venues, caterers, speakers, attendees, Media Trust staff and Trustees 

• Research and suggest relevant key speakers and work with all Media Trust teams to finalise speakers for events

• Work closely with the Marketing team to develop communications to promote events and drive engagement 

• Monitor KPIs and evaluate the impact of events, providing reports and feedback summaries as required 

• Ensure all Media Trust events and fundraising activities are logged effectively and Media Trust’s CRM is kept up-to-date 

Corporate Partner Activity 

• Liaise with our Corporate Partners and lead on bespoke events organised as part of their partnership with Media Trust

• Work closely with the Partnerships team to develop and deliver volunteer opportunities, recruiting, briefing and training volunteers including presentations and pitches  

• Work with other members of the Volunteering & Events Management team to support with other volunteering activity including development of innovative events and opportunities

Additional Responsibilities  

• Continual research and ideation, monitoring industry trends for new and exciting fundraising and profile-raising opportunities and partnership collaborations

• Provide additional support to the Partnerships team as required

What we are looking for in you 

Essential 

• Experience of end-to-end event management, including the planning of fundraising events, and delivering high-impact results in a professional or charitable organisation

• Experience of organising both online and in person events

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage and prioritise across multiple events, work with multiple teams and meet deadlines 

• Experience of working with Corporate Partners and managing stakeholder relationships at both a strategic and project level 

• Outstanding communication skills and ability to adapt tone and approach for different stakeholders 

• Strong leadership skills to effectively manage external stakeholders and suppliers, paid and unpaid, ensuring high quality of work and events run smoothly

• Experience of data management and CRM systems with ability to support, inform and report on fundraising and other event activity 

• A passion for events and innovative approaches to engaging audiences 

Desirable 

• Experience of creating and developing proposals for event sponsorship and pitching to corporate partners and other stakeholders

• Experience of designing and managing event budgets

• Good understanding of the charity sector, including charity, GDPR and data protection laws 

• Understanding of the media, comms and creative sectors in the UK

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fundraiser, working full-time on-site. The Fundraiser who will play an integral role within our team, working with the CEO, and senior management team, responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, organising events and campaigns, maintaining donor relationships, and researching and identifying new funding opportunities, building a strong pipeline of core and restricted funding, as well as donations and gifts.

You will seek to maximise funding opportunities, expand our portfolio of grant funders, and contribute to a growth in income from Trusts & Foundations. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and identifying prospective funders, writing, and submitting high-quality grant applications, and delivering excellent grant management.

You should be a proactive self-starter, with excellent written communication skills and demonstrable strong attention to detail. With experience of successful fundraising bids to trust, charities and local authority, working with grant applications and/or funding proposals utilising a range of tools to identify new funding opportunities, as well as some experience of philanthropic fundraising.

Title: Fundraising Officer.

Reporting to: Director of Development.

Location: The candidate will be based in Birmingham, where they will work from home for the majority of the time (with monthly travel to the All Team meeting in London, and occassional additional travel). There will also be opportunities to meet with a small number of other Stonewall Housing staff based in Birmingham.

Role context: Stonewall Housing is currently growing its Development Team, and this Fundraising Officer will play an integral part in maximising Stonewall Housing’s income and raising its profile across the UK (with a particular focus on building relationships and partnerships in Birmingham and the surrounding area). It’s an exciting opportunity for the right person to make this role their own and to bring innovative ideas to our organisation.

Days per week: This role can be for 3 or 4 days per week depending on the candidate's preference.

Please note: The salary advertised includes London weighting. In the role, you’ll be:

1. You’ll be building relationships with a wide range of individuals, community supporters, networks and local groups to fundraise and build awareness of Stonewall Housing’s mission, with a particular focus on Birmingham-based individuals and organisations.
2. Working with the Development Officer and Community and Events Fundraising Specialist on community fundraiser stewardship, where you’ll be providing support to individuals and groups fundraising for Stonewall Housing through their own events or running and challenge activities.
3. Supporting the Development Officer and Community and Events Fundraising Specialist with refining, developing and implementing our annual programme of Stonewall Housing-led events, including cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events.
4. Working with the Development Team to develop Stonewall Housing’s Legacy Giving programme, ‘Over the Rainbow’.
5. Supporting the Training Lead by delivering engaging in-person and virtual training sessions and workshops to other organisations and networks across the public and private sectors. You’ll be empowering teams of all sizes to confidently meet the needs of LGBTQ+ people in their staff team or accessing their services. You will receive comprehensive and bespoke Stonewall Housing training in how to best deliver these sessions. 
6. Supporting the Development Team and the wider organisation by taking part in external panels and speaking engagement opportunities, confidently representing the work of Stonewall Housing.
7. Developing new compelling cases for support both for individual donors and for broader fundraising activities.
8. Using data and evidence to monitor KPIs and track trends, helping the Development Team make informed decisions.
9. Supporting the wider Development Team with the day-to-day running of fundraising, comms, and awareness activity.

Your experience:

· Experience of developing and enacting ambitious strategic plans for a fundraising area (this could be Community Giving, Events, Individual Giving, Corporate Giving, or similar).

· Demonstrable understanding of implementing best practice to fundraising activities.

· A track record of building positive and prosperous relationships with supporters.

· Experience of developing engaging supporter journeys.

Your skills and attributes:

· Confident and enthusiastic public speaker, at both in person or virtual events.

· A creative problem solver with a solutions-focussed outlook.

· Excellent team player who likes to get stuck into new tasks and action groups.

· Organised, efficient and driven.

· Up-to-date knowledge of website donation tools (e.g. JustGiving etc).

· Experience in delivering training to organisations, networks or community groups.

· Experience in coordinating fundraising events.

· Experience of managing projects remotely, including using tools such as Trello.

· Proficiency in using a fundraising CRM package (we use Donorfy).

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. Full time (35 hours per week) although flexible hours may be considered; the role may require occasional evening and weekend work  

Working location: Home based. The post holder should expect to come into the office a minimum of two days per month, with the possibility of up to five days per month being routinely required.

BACKGROUND   

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships 

You’ll be ambitious to take the next step and we are on hand to support and offer you training and a positive working environment to allow you to gain confidence and knowledge in the role at a steady pace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.
